I was diagnosed with something that required urgent care and I was told to immediately start taking certain medications and if I didn't get better quickly it was life-threatening and I needed to go to the ER. The doctor insisted it was timely enough that he needed to call prescription into a 24 hour pharmacy, this one as I needed to start the meds ASAP. I was alone with my little kids at the time, and I panicked and begged the babysitter to stay long enough for me to pick them up (which required shifting of her commitments). I called the pharmacy to confirm they had the medications and they would be ready. The pharmacy confirmed both. I raced over to grab the medications. I went up to the counter and was presented with three medications. I flagged that I thought there were four. I was told there were not. I asked them to check again... and they confirmed there was a fourth. They said I should have been texted that they didn't have the fourth (I received no such text). I asked why I was told they had the medication. They asked if I got the name of the woman who told me that. I said I didn't, I didn't think she was lying and I would need the name later on. The counterman then told me he and the pharmacist were the 8pm shift and this "wasn't their problem" (it was shortly after 8) and I needed to discuss it with the earlier shift and that I should have gotten their names. I then asked for their names, and the man at the counter refused to give it (the irony). They told me I could talk to a manager if I had concerns (but the manager wasn't reachable for 38 hours). They promised they would order the med and it would be there in less than two days. I called the next day to confirm it was ordered. Confirmed. I called the following day to make sure the med came in. Confirmed. I then asked if it was ready. Yes, they asked me to come in at or after 3. I arrived at 3. There was a long line, and it took 20 mins to get helped. I gave them my name and they asked me to wait. I waited 25 more minutes (so 45 in total). The pharmacist came out eventually and said they don't have this medication they will need to order it. I recounted the above and she said "I don't know who told you this, but it wasn't ordered"... Had I been any less sick I would have absolutely lost my mind. Long story short, I would be TERRIFIED of this place. Had I not flagged for them they missed an important medication, they would have never mentioned it to me (imagine if it had happened to a frail elderly person missing life necessary meds etc.). Either they bold face lie or they are fully incompetent, neither is anything you want from a healthcare provider. The fact they told me I should get the names of people I speak to at the pharmacy but then tell me they won't give out their names is infuriating at best. Regardless. I have literally wasted hours of time, had to unnecessarily pay a babysitter, had to take time off of work to wait to pick up a prescription that they told me they had ready, but didn't have at all. Life is too short for this place. My review is long, but hopefully will save someone from my fate (or worse if the miss your medications). I would rank it among the worst businesses ever, and I have seen some pretty bad places in my day. read more

This place is ridiculous. Went to get some Perrier for a friend who specifically requested that drink. Not only was there no Perrier of any kind but the entire shelf was empty of other drinks as well. Also, they were out of legit shopping carts. They only had small grocery baskets with wheels. This is not practical if you are buying large items or need somewhere to put your child. Before I realized there was no Perrier to be had, I went up to customer service to ask if they could help me find Perrier as I could not locate it. The associate told me the aisle number I was just in and I told him I needed him to walk me to the Perrier as I didn't see it. The associate caller over another customer to have him check out before he could help me. Not a big deal but still a little strange since there was no one there when I went up to the desk. If the store hired more employees than this associate could have called someone else to help me. But, alas, you are on your own here. The fact that there was no one in the store to help me shop or find things is a big deal. No manager to be found to alert of the issues in the store. Long lines at check out and only two registers open and there are many more registers than two but with no one to help you. Lastly, and most importantly, the pharmacy here is getting to me. For one, there is almost always a very long line to wait to pick up your prescription. They don't fully staff the pharmacy technician department either so it makes the wait even longer. My most recent experience with the pharmacy has been terrible. Both a family member and myself got text messages that our prescriptions which were for different issues and from different doctors were out of stock. Their text message that they are out of stock came on Wednesday. The pharmacist said it should arrive on Thursday after 3. We didn't hear from them by Friday so we called in the morning and many hours after that. I've never been so frustrated in my life. No one picks up the phone or returns messages left on their machine. I've been trying for 5 hours to get someone. I tried to get the store manager on the phone but the associate told me he/she wasn't available and was not helpful in trying to get the problem fixed. He wanted to transfer me to the pharmacy. What a laugh! I called again and got a different person and asked for the manager. I was on hold for 10 minutes before I gave up. I called the general store again and this time no one picked up. What kind of operation is this anyways? Does Rite Aid corporate check up on how their stores are doing? People will come here for convenience. They are centrally located in Beverly Hills near all the restaurants and shops, they have outdoor parking which can be validated, they are pretty much a clean store (the bathrooms not so much), they are open 24 hours and they have Thrifty's ice cream which is a classic. But they really need to get their act together in this store. As for the pharmacy, we gave up on them and transferred both prescriptions elsewhere where they were so much more accommodating. read more

This was literally the worst customer service experience of my life. Walked in for a simple cable, a man claiming to be the manager was behind a counter where some cables were on a wall. When I asked him if any of the cables were USB-C to USB-C, without looking up, he said what's on the wall is what I have. But I could barely read the packages, so I asked him again if any of those were USB-C to USB-C. And then he repeated himself, again without looking up. When I pressed him, he just said, "no, I guess we don't have any." Finally I just said to give me the thing on the wall. Luckily, it was what I needed. He literally didn't want my business. Walked in and thought this was a very fancy Rite Aid! With its sparkly clean, polished, tiled floors. The pharmacy has lines and the checkouts have lines. Also, lots of seniors here so things seem to take longer. Be careful in this parking lot, as there are also seniors who are driving or walking quite slowly. I wouldn't come here unless I had no other option. Money order is cash only and there's $1.19 fee. I dislike that yellow post next to the parking ticket scanner machine because you will need to unbuckle and open your car door to scan your ticket. read more

Many of the shelves are missing many items and I really could not find many of the items I was looking for. I think this company may in bankruptcy but don't know if they will return anytime soon. I've been here multiple times as i work in the nearby area. The parking is always bad, sometimes its because the lot is full but alot more other times its because the gate is malfunctioning. They need to either change out their system or fix the current one. The workers here are all condescending and lazy even the managers. I've waited for ice cream and they've seen me waiting and they'll walk by avoiding to make eye contact so they don't have to help you. Hello it's your job! And when they do help you they have a bad attitude as if you're inconveniencing them. The shelves aren't stocked and they are missing a lot of items. And some aisles have the same item for more than half the aisle. Not sure whats happening here but they might need to change staff or retrain them so they can do better. The pharmacy needs to get on it too I always have issues with them calling to tell me prescriptions are ready and i come in and still have to wait and they aren't ready, they are always short staffed too so thats not helpful. Only semi positive thing has been getting a vaccine through them, the wait for a simple vaccine with me being the only there waiting for a vaccine was 30mins. I love this Rite Aid and of the most part love the pharmacy. I've only had one weird experience here. Today I went in for some vaccines and Neda was just amazing. She was welcoming and professional. She treated my like a real person and answered all my questions. I love this pharmacy and the staff is usually really great. I am so glad that they will be around more. I think we need to support our local community businesses and leave Amazon alone seriously working on doing that myself. Neda is amazing and a real asset what a classy professional person. 04/04/2020 Rite has removed all the ice cream from the shop that requires a staff to stick their hand inside the freezer and scoop it out. Despite wearing gloves, I have never comfortable eating this Rite Aid ice cream and others that follow the same process. Pre and post COVID19, this archaic process of scooping ice cream is not sanitary because the ice cream is exposed to the scooper's germs and debris falls into all the ice cream in the freezer...very disgusting and gross. The same ice cream may be purchased brand new, half gallon, in a sealed container from the freezer section. I'm not a fan of the Rite Aid ice cream and would never eat it, but a word of caution to those who like it, is that if a few Rite Aid staff member's wouldn't dare eat their ice cream, that must say something probably bad about it! With regard to everything else about this particular store, it is by far the cleanest, well organized pharmacy's in Beverly Hills. There are probably more than 8 pharmacies within a 1 mile radius and this pharmacy is the best by comparison. During COVID19, the store has resumed regular hours as is open 24/7. The pharmacist, pharmacy staff, the store manager and store staff are professional and always very helpful and nice to me and Fendi, we shop here every week for essen Rite Aid on North Canon Drive has been here forever. Since I've lived in BH this has been my preferred pharmacy. It's open 24/7 and about 6 yrs ago was remodeled with ceramic floorings that is kept 90% clean. Except for the super busy times and lack of staff to move the long lines along, every other time has been great. The staff are helpful and nice to me. When my Dad's meds were not available at his local pharmacy, this Rite Aid at this location somehow has a quicker way to get meds and can help arrange a local delivery if needed...in the past, I was really ill with a flu and had no ounce of energy to pick up my prescribed meds. The staff here helped and made arrangements for delivery ASAP, that helped me health wise and here writing in gratitude. This pharmacy and store sells almost everything and at times find myself shopping for other household goods, food and beverages, wine and liquor. Often see famous people entering or exiting from here as well as the paparazzi, that's one of the things I don't like. The other I don't like is the limited parking spaces, despite the upper and lower lots. As much as possible come here at non busy hours 01:00-07:00, it will be less of a hassle and help with the headache aggravation. read more

There is a store manager here short in stature that was barking orders at multiple employees as I was shopping none of them appeared to be doing anything wrong but his behavior was borderline workplace abusive. I think it wouldn't be a bad idea for someone of management or higher-ups to look into this complaint and maybe question some of the employees on the treatment of this manager older gentleman maybe 50 to 60s short in stature with slick back hair. I've never seen such disrespectful banter let alone in front of customers which led me to feel inclined at two at least leave a review. I have been here may times and am going to outline the good and the bad: The Good: 1. Both the store and the Pharmacy are open 24/7. So for fun come here at 2 AM on Christmas Eve and fill your prescription that you have been holding on to for a few months. The Pharmacists are trained to say then: " Ho Ho...Oh No!" 2. Free Parking while shopping in the store. 3. Nice comfortable modern store--pleasant shopping experience. 4. Thrifty Ice cream counter is cheap and good and is the main reason I find myself in this store. The Bad: 1. Very expensive. 2. A lot less expensive if you online order for pickup in store but if you don't order online they will not give you the online price in the store--it drives me crazy! 3. Staff is a bit gruff but they have a hard time getting staff to work in Beverly Hills. 4. One time recently at the Thrifty Ice Cream counter I had a gross encounter: I ordered a two scoop in a container and the guy missed the top of the container with the 2nd scoop and it started to run down the side of the container. He realizes it and instead of just taking a paper towel to wipe the side of the container down, he uses the scooper to collect the runny ice cream and then takes the scooper and shakes it off into the ice cream barrel in the freezer that other people are going to order from. I was so grossed out by this that I have a hard time returning for ice cream here--in fact unless the barrel is newer, ice cream near the top I won't get it here because I think they must shake off everyone's ice cream into the barrel. Zero! Negative 5 stars! This place has been a zoo for 20 years that I know of, and it has NOT gotten any better - it has Only gotten WORSE! My prescription was called in 2 days ago - no stock - no call or text for any communication - so after my surgery when I went to pick up my meds - that's when I was told we don't have any. When asked can I pick this up at any other rite aid, she said sure - but could not tell me which location had stock (Petco can tell me if dog treat is at another store, but for medicine - no) So after calling around, Westwood rite aid had it - but they could not fulfill it since the prescription was put on hold here - and they asked me to call and ask them to release it. More than 45 mins on hold (pick up - please wait - hold again etc. 45 mins hold - screenshot attached) So - finally I had to drive back, stand in line again, and ask her to release it - which she said could not be done due to regulations - however when I insisted, she checked and got it released. By the time I got back in the car to drive back to Westwood, they had called me that it is ready - picked up with a ten minute drive. So for all of us that through much hardship. lifelong investments and daily living costs have moved to Beverly Hills - should have stayed in whatever third world country we came from - I've never seen it this bad in Iran, Guatemala, Jerusalem or Tijuana Never stepping into this zoo ever again - perhaps need to file a formal complaint with the courts to get someone's attention - been here 20 years - seen many complaints and have watched the incompetence first hand, but never wrote a review - tried to be understanding all this time - it's only gotten WORSE!! read more

Absolutely terrible! This was once a great, great store. Clean, well stocked and helpful employees. It was a great store for a quick snack, cold drink or the typical pharmacy needs. I was in a month ago and again yesterday 9-13-24, and the store looked like it was looted. Bare shelves, a plethora of empty candy boxes on the shelves and a very anemic look! I questioned a cashier and was blatantly lied to! She told me " oh we're going to restock them". At least be honest! Another great business in the Los Angeles area is being flushed down the toilet! Go elsewhere for your COVID vaccine shot. This place SUCKS. They're slow AF, not organized, and lose your info. The girl in line of me came to get her 2nd dosage and they said it was recorded she got her 2nd shot already. Then when I signed in, they had to redo my paperwork too. Furthermore, for inexplicable reasons, they had a lot of people waiting (8-10) crowded in the "waiting area" , with poor social distancing, which translates to you waiting (and/or standing) 20-30 minutes at this place. This happened to me both times for my shots. I suspect this is a tactic so you wait around so you buy stuff from the store because the reminder emails always include a discount code and suggestions to buying certain products. After using this Rite Aid's pharmacy for about 10 years, it's finally time to find a new pharmacy... for the past couple of years, they have been unable to fill my prescriptions without issue. I regularly get notified that my prescription is ready for pickup, go to pick it up, only to be told it's not ready. Regularly recurring prescriptions are filled late almost every time, leaving me without them for 2-3 days every month. I've also experienced the very long telephone hold times and apathetic employees that other reviewers mention, but the fact that a pharmacy cannot reliably supply necessary medication is the deal breaker. read more
