I use this CVS as a convenience store. I cannot comment on the pharmacy as I have not used it. I always find such interesting and fun products when I shop here. They have a wonderful selection of cards and balloons for all occasions. I do find the prices here to be higher than other stores charge for the same products but I usually stack coupons and rewards to make it worth while to shop here and almost always end up getting a better deal. Make sure to sign up for rewards. This store is clean and very well organized. Customer service is on-point. There were two registers open. The check out line was a bit long but went fast and they had a third person helping with self-checkout which was nice. Shopping carts are only for the store so I didn't buy more than I could carry. There are stairs to enter from the street as well as an underground parking lot that has both elevator and stairs. Overall, I had a good experience shopping here. read more

My second review of the same CVS store in 3 days!!! Why you may ask? Well - if you look at my previous review and you see I reviewed it basically as a convenience store. This time Mrs G and I needed vaccinations - primarily whooping cough vaccine to allow us to see our granddaughter when she is born in the next few weeks. We don't have insurance yet, but as walk-ins the staff were super helpful getting us the best deal possible. The wait was just a few minutes and we were vaccinated! They are by far the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. You can't get anyone on the phone, and their lack of customer service is honestly appalling. This isn't based on just one visit--it's been my experience over multiple encounters. It's frustrating because this is the closest pharmacy to where I live, and it actually makes me miss Rite Aid. Even when prescriptions are supposedly ready, you still end up waiting an unreasonable amount of time. The staff is consistently rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. I am a prescriber with e-prescription exemption. I called the pharmacy last night to give my patient emergency antibiotics and the pharmacy took 20 minutes to answer the call... ok. The hack of a pharmacist who took my call and spoke with me directly never submitted the script and my patient informed me in the morning that there was no script. THESE ARE EMERGENCY MEDICATIONS YOU FOOLS! when I called back I was put on hold for 24 minutes before I heard someone audibly lift the phone and hang it up without answering. My son was seen by a non Kaiser dr and a prescription was sent to this CVS. The pharmacist said no prescription was sent. My son has a staph infection in his hip and this medication was vital. The dr said he sent it at 4:00pm. But the drs office was closed by the time we got to this CVS and told there was no prescription. My son had to go without this medication all night. We called the drs office the next morning and he had proof the prescription had been received by CVS at 4:00. The pharmacist finally acknowledged they did get the prescription at 4:00 but since my son had Kaiser, they chose to ignore it. We could have taken the Rx and gone to Kaiser the day before. I finally was able to pay for this medication at 11:00. It was inexcusable to have my son suffer. I also needed to pick up several items my son needed to help him while in his hospital bed. I got home and found one item missing. It was on my receipt. I called the store and was told the cashier missed putting it in the bag. Could come back with my receipt and pick it up. She was sorry. Have been in person and the staff tend to be kind. Either this said, the medication is rarely available and patients rarely get anything close to a clear answer about when it may be. People who need to get through in any other way like on the phone, is virtually impossible with who works here on the phone line. The pharmacists let you wait on hold for about 20 minutes then just hang up the line. Happens every time you call in. Did multiple tests from different people. At least whoever these people are in charge of the calls, they're terribly unprofessional and unethical. Could reflect CVS on a larger scale where it's extremely understaffed or if leadership is completely upside down. read more

Very easy to get latest covid shot-i saw a dr getting his flu vax qnd we discussed vaccine research- he was very interesting and injector was wonderful. Very classy mice looking soft spoken pro w slight accent and most importantly was gentle prompt and didnt hurt. A very professional kind lady which is rare. It is the best kept up of all the terrible chain downfall of the once normal chain pharmacy. The md choice in going there was a big plus to me. They were helpful at pharmacy and just normal- u could linger and not fear strange people looking to steal or act erratic. There was only 1 transient waiting to solicit money but she wasnt aggressive or " scary" as in trying to follow or invade personal space. Its very sad.people are suffering and demanding money / intimidating strangers- we are all trying our best and we all have issues and problems but better to be rude and be safe not engage or risk a persons anger . I have a cold and was in bed over the weekend and Monday. I didn't go to work today. But I needed my Xeralto blood thinner for a clot. It was renewed and ready. I went to the window for the Pharmacy Mgr and asked if she could give me 2 pills and I would come back. Naz refused. I told her I had a cold and was sick. Her answer was, " Everyone in line is sick." "They are all sick." I said, "No one has masks on." Naz said, " Neither do you." "Yes, that's why I don't want to stand in line." There was a long line. I asked the last gentleman, Robert if I could go after him as I would be sitting. He said yes. I asked the double line of people if they were all sick. "NO." I waited seated and when Robert was at the register, I went up. I met a young man by the exit who was calling Customer Service. He had stood in line and they didn't have his prescription. I asked if the Pharmacist gave him a couple. No.she didn't and he said she, Naz, was very rude to him. He said they should have someone who can deal with people better. first time using this pharmacy since my rx was transferred from Rite Aid. Have yet to talk to anyone in person at the pharmacy, and have same complaint as other customers ---auto service says they have no record of my prescription & that my Dr has not phoned in a refill. Went into another branch of CVS to check the status, as I had asked my Dr to resend the rx refill to the new branch. New branch says that the RX was sent to Wilshire location. Wilshire auto service says they have no record. Shameful service and one week since the first Dr authorization, I still don't have my meds. read more

The service here has gone downhill over the years. They have a "virtual assistant" who answers the line and sometimes it's difficult to get helpful answers or to get transferred to someone in the pharmacy. The in-store experience has been even worse. Was waiting in line at the window marked DROP OFF for a while and then an employee told me to not use the window and instead use the CONSULT window. Ok, that makes no sense but ok. Spoke to someone who said my prescription was not available and had to be ordered but would be ready for pickup the next day in the afternoon. The next day arrives and I received a text informing me that the item is out of stock and needs to be ordered but will arrive soon. I called the pharmacy and left a voicemail to find out when it will arrive and I'm still waiting for a return call. I suggest finding another CVS to go to. read more

Tried to find out ingredients of dental floss. Not on box as claimed. Called their 800 number and got punted around to four different people. None could give any info. Talked to p harmacist - did not know and did not know how to find out if floss contained PFAs. CVS agents refused to hand up so I could not rate their service as the recording said I could. Clever. And their recording says to look on the box for the ingredients but there was nothing on the box about ingredients on the box. read more

Came here for a vaccination and did some shopping. Pharmacy is super busy with long lines but staff was courteous and helpful. Store is overall clean and well organized. I didn't have the negative experiences some other reviewers posted. Great cosmetic section with many brands and products. I am forced to use them because of my insurance or i have to pay much more. They have a bargain basement " virtual assistant" who is less then worthless. Most responses you get when asked a question is "I am not equipped to answer that question". Try calling and saying you are calling from a health care provider that will mean 15 minutes waiting before they disconnect you. If you are lucky enough for someone to call you back CVS must be using a phone, they paid $5 for since I could not understand what the person calling was saying. My app for CVS said I could pick up a prescription only to find out when I got there and waited in the queue that they were out of it. Here is another way for them to save money- have the same BOT dispense the prescriptions. So, what if they are wrong, think of how much CVS will save in labor costs. The downside- illness or death for the customers which is just collateral damage which CVS can just have you sign a waiver of liability. If you complain to someone in the pharmacy they will say" I'm only the pharmacist" so who should I complain to? answer: call the 800 number for the CVS. Great idea, Now I can wait on the phone at their headquarters until the same useless BOT has me going on the voice hell merry-go-round. read more

The pharmacists told me that they are ordering my medication. I called each day and again was told that no one ordered my medication. Then they ordered the wrong medication, and one week later, they still claim they are ordering my medication. The pharmacist then rudely hung up the phone on me. First I was told my prescription would be ready @4:30pm. It was not. Then one of the pharmacists called two hours later to say it was ready. I was too sick to go get it myself so my son went there for me around 7pm and was told it wasn't ready yet. He was told to wait. While he was waiting there, one of the pharmacists called me to ask how he could help me.... I lost it!! What kind of operation are they running over there? Finally they filled the prescription and my son picked it up!!! If you actually need your meds, find a different pharmacy. These people don't know what they're doing. This location is the busiest and worst customer service, specially pharmacy. There is always 20 to 30 mins of waiting, only one or two people in pharmacy cashier while there is a line of people waiting. I have been waiting for 30 mins, and I feel about to faint.
