Stumble upon this mom and pop breakfast place. Cute little place, was surprised that it is super crowded. I can tell it is a local hang out spot, the waitress seems to know most of them really well. The service was good and fast. Our food came quickly and it was delicious.

This is a rather small shop frequented by locals. The 2 servers greeted many incoming guests by name. I had the veggie omelette and it was home style fine - nothing fancy, but also not expensive. Not really a place to impress a date, but good food served fast and hot. And... the coffee kept coming and coming. Overall, nice but do not expect fancy.

Always been a staple of Delray Beach. Always good good. Can be a little slow but that's because they are so busy, which is a good sign!

We came for the pancakes and found them to be the same as we could make at home, good but nothing special.

We were sat right away and our waitress took our drink order before we even had a chance to sit. For breakfast, I ordered an iced latte and avocado toast. The latte was smooth and the avocado toast was delicious. I recommend going to lulus when it's not super hot. Most of the dining room is outdoors, and while covered, it can get a little hot.

I ordered the teriyaki bowl with chicken and it had no teriyaki flavor or sauce anywhere. The chicken was probably slightly marinated but I wish it tasted more like teriyaki. The grilled salmon was tasty but the poached egg that came with the Brussels sprout Cesar was full of water and undercooked so I literally didn't even eat it. The strawberry lemonade was 80% water, stick with the hangover cure. The hangover cure was very refreshing. The servers split the tips so they were all pretty helpful and attentive. Probably a good spot for cocktails but I went with my grandma so virgin drinks were the way to go. All in all I'd be back for a cocktail and the fries. The food is also pretty pricey. $11 French fries, $9 for a non-alcoholic beverage. Also when I went, the menu was limited. They weren't serving any of the 'Shareables'. I went at 3pm on a Sunday so you'd think this is prime time to have a full menu available. Service 9/10 Food 6/10 Location & ambiance 8/10 Would I go back? Yes. Vibes would bring me back and I wanna try the cocktails next time (:

The vegetables sandwich that I ordered had so much oil but fortunately the bread soaked up some of it, so I just discarded the bread. My wife's salad with fish was very good. Also, the fruit served with my sandwich? Just perfectly ripe and enjoyable. One of the things that cracked me up here, being a laid back Texas boy, was over hearing all the incessant, noisy, nasal New York Jewish ladies whining, commiserating and ruminating with each other at the other tables. That was entertaining. I had thought about asking about the homemade desserts but the staff was slammed I guess cause no one came around to check on how things were going and if we needed anything else. Just as well. Counting calories. My tipping default would normally be 20% but today... not sure what I will leave lol.

A great value (before 11:30 weekdays) is the $8.95 egg breakfast which includes eggs your way, toast, potatoes and fruit. Ample indoor and outdoor seating is available.

They have a really nice outdoor seating area, complete with heaters when needed. We chose to dine inside. The vibe inside the restaurant was kind of a boho rustic feel, and I really liked it. Soft lighting and music really set the tone. We were immediately greeted by our server, Gustavo, and given our menus. We don't drink, but they had a nice selection of drinks, cocktails and spirits. We decided to start with the sweet and sour cauliflower. It was absolutely delicious! Cauliflower battered and fried and tossed in a sweet and sour sauce. For our entree we shared the 44oz Creekstone ribeye. It was served with charred broccolini and and a fried airy potato side dish that was out of this world! The steak came sliced and off the bone, so it was perfect for sharing. It was served with 3 toppings; a horseradish sauce, a balsamic glaze, and delicious mixture of sliced peppers. Our steak was cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. We did not have dessert there, as we had a birthday cake at home. And I feel remiss that I didn't even look to see what they had. Overall, it was the perfect place to have a romantic, celebratory dinner! Thanks Driftwood. *Just a Note ~ I found it odd they added a 20% tip on a 2 top table, and I was glad I noticed it on the bill before we double tipped.

A few of the things I liked.. - Fruit juice used for mixers is made in-house fresh daily. The drinks are creative and made well. - The sweet and sour cauliflower, the sliders, the chicken and dumplings. - Servers are always knowledgeable and attentive - indoor and outdoor seating with fans on a warm day. Upscale vibe with dim lighting. - plenty of parking A few I didn't.. - The fish dip was just ok - the fried part of the southern fried chicken while juicy on the inside, lacked flavor - the up charge for almond vanilla milk in the espresso martini without being told up front of the added cost -the steak tartare happy hour portion is 1 bite-sized piece. Just offer the normal sized portion for a reduced happy hour price as opposed to 1/4th the portion for 1/3rd the price. Overall I would say every experience is good but not great. We came here for dinner last night and we were seated with a direct ocean view. This is one of the few places that is literally on the beach that you can have dinner. It was around 7 PM so there was shade and cool evening ocean breezes We ordered the whole snapper which was a whopping 2 1/2 pounds and the grouper. The snapper was obviously meant for two people because of the amount of rice and vegetables they included with the snapper. It was excellent. The grouper came in some type of coconut sauce, which was amazing. We were dipping our snapper in the sauce for the grouper. If I was to make any type of recommendation, I would recommend adding a side of this sauce to the snapper and that would just make it a perfect dish I had a watermelon Mojito. The drinks here are ridiculously expensive at $17 a cocktail. And it's not like they come in a huge glass. They come in a regular wine glass. They do say that all the ingredients are natural and nothing is artificial, so maybe it's worth it to pay that much to not have a bunch of junk in your drinks. The service was slow. Although friendly. When we arrived, there was not that many people eating so I was surprised when after 30 minutes we still had not gotten the cocktails. Our waiter said it was because there was only one bartender and he was 15 minutes behind on his orders. I find this pretty amazing that a restaurant like Benny's cannot hire more than one bartender so that the people who come and pay what is not really a moderate amount but pretty expensive for their entrées, but still have to wait 20 minutes to get their drinks. It was only for this that I took off a star. When I order a cocktail, I like it brought out within five minutes and not to drink during my dinner. Dinner was also very slow and we got our entrées about 45 minutes after our order. But all in all, it was an amazing experience and we will be back.

I was hoping for a table on the pier itself but I didn't specify in my reservation. Either way, we enjoyed a great meal with an ocean view. Food was fresh and delicious. The shrimp ceviche was deliciously spicy and I loved that the chips were seasoned, adding extra flavor to each bite. My favorite was the Palm Beach Shrimp Taco. Topped with pineapple, relish and goat cheese, my taste buds were loving it! A must try drink is the watermelon martini. Made with Tito's vodka and garnished with a juicy slice of watermelon. After dinner we watched the sunset on the pier. Benny's change $1 per person to access their pier but it's so worth it. The pier seemed to be a popular spot for fishing as there were a lot of families casting lines into the ocean. It was a beautiful evening at Benny's.
