It's a big job with a lot of moving parts, and it went more smoothly than much smaller projects I've had done. Seth knows this stuff very well and gives straight answers. I asked a lot of detailed questions about NEM 2.0, rate plans, and how the battery would actually behave, and I never got a sales pitch or a vague answer. When something wasn't knowable, he said so. That's rarer than it should be in this industry. The crew did clean work and were very nice and easy to deal with. The conduit was painted to match the stucco, and they went ahead and painted an older cable run that wasn't part of their job. When I hit a Tesla app issue that had nothing to do with their installation, Tim, the installation manager, spent an hour on the phone with Tesla support on my behalf. He didn't have to do that. Passed inspection first time, PTO came through shortly after, and they handled the SDCP rebate paperwork, with the check arriving faster than estimated. If you're adding storage to an existing NEM 2.0 system, these are good people to work with.

My skylight had been installed incorrectly by another company, which was contributing to the moisture issue. Since skylight repairs can be a relatively small job, I found that not many reputable companies were interested in doing this type of work. I was very happy to find Sunline Energy. Juan handled the skylight and related roof and flashing repairs, and I can't say enough about the quality of his work. He is a perfectionist and took the time to make sure everything was done correctly. He went above and beyond and fixed both the skylight and surrounding roof area beyond my expectations. Based on my experience and the quality of Juan's work, I would highly recommend Sunline Energy to anyone needing skylight or related roof repairs.

Adding on after Sunline Energy's response: I did not mention the following yet it is important to do so, in 2024 3 roofing companies told me that the roof was past due on repair, I had mentioned what happened with Sunline Energy in 2023 and was told that your company as well as others install on roofs that are not healthy enough and even with replacement of shingles the plywood was not thick enough to support solar panels, in other words, Sunline never mentioned something that was felt just by walking on the roof, ethics should be as important as obtaining a sale because people work hard to keep there home maintained, honesty is the best policy, I understand that the company must achieve sales but situations as so are very disturbing, Sunline Energy continues to owe us $1,000 due to a deposit for a job that never took place.

Their representative repeatedly assured me in writing that there were "no upfront fees or deposit required" and agreed to prepare contingency language allowing me to cancel without penalty if the funding was insufficient. After months of follow-ups, delays, and waiting for management to finalize the paperwork, I was suddenly informed that the company had implemented a "new process" requiring a non-refundable $1,000 payment before they would process the application, engineering review, or other preliminary work.

Our single family home in Carlsbad was in need of a new roof and we decided it was time to get modern with solar and some window & door replacements. Through our bidding process, RC Energy came out the lowest and Justin was cordial and honest about the entire process and costs upfront. We knew this was going to be a big project and Justin explained the entire process. Our work included: full re-roof (tear-off, new underlayment, new concrete tiles, wood repair, full fascia board replacement & painting, 18 PV solar panel array + electrical/RMA, new sliding glass door, three kitchen windows and two new solar-powered skylights in our living room. There was a big chunk of extra cost for roof wood repairs we knew was coming (dry rot and previous termite damage to sheathing & rafter tails) but the costs were understandable given the hours of extra labor, and the quality of carpentry work spearheaded by Ivan was exceptional. Nice windows and doors from Amerimax combined with the new roof tiles and fascia has really given our home a modernized curb appeal and the new skylights have changed the entire feel of our dark living room. Solar went live in May/June and boy is it nice to see our bills reduced next to nothing, especially with our EV charging and AC unit. Justin's communication was great, keeping us updated in advance of each major step in the project. Total project work time was 2/3 weeks and we are more than satisfied with the outcome. Starting with workers made wrong several holes on our roof and said no worries, said no Leaks for sure! A week after the rain, water leaked through hole in my bedroom and living room! We emailed the company and no response but finally emailed the CEO, got quick response and worker came right away to fix with an upset mood! I noticed they were so rough and not gentle at all during the time they worked on the roof. Maybe it had to be that way but I noticed that and worried. Next, workers came to continue work and 1-2 weeks after of rain, there are water leaks through my roof and my wall! I suggest you choose the company that your family or friends or neighbors used before. I'm so disappointed with the workers from this company because it caused us long term damage to fix the wall now and we moved to this house a year ago with no issues until they came to settle the solar panel.
