We have an 11-month-old puppy and left him here for 8 days over spring break while we were away with family. When we picked him up, he was yelping in pain. We immediately noticed puncture wounds on his nose, dried blood, and significant swelling. He wouldn't let anyone touch his nose or snout without crying out. We took him straight to the Pet ER, where the veterinarian confirmed he had bite wounds on both his nose and inside his mouth. Based on the scabbing, the doctor estimated the injuries were 3-4 days old. We were never notified that our dog had been attacked. We reached out twice during our vacation to check in and were told "that he was tired and misses us, but all is good". When we contacted Green Acres, we asked for a refund and for them to cover the medical bills. They agreed to refund the stay; which we appreciate given the circumstances, but refused to cover any medical costs (roughly $1,000). When we asked what happened and who was supervising the dogs, we were told it's "impossible to watch the dogs all the time." We were also told they would review camera footage. It has now been over a week, and we still don't know what happened or which dog was involved. When I followed up again, Michael said he still had more footage to review and could not identify who was responsible for supervising the dogs at the time. He also stated that if he determines which dog was responsible, he would contact that dog's owners and ask them to cover the medical bills. I told him that this is not how I would run a business. As the owner, he should take responsibility and cover the costs, then seek reimbursement from the other party if necessary. At the end of the day, we should have at least been notified that something was off. It's hard for us to believe that no one saw the swelling on his snout, when that was the first thing we noticed when we picked him up. We would have happily had a friend go pick him up and take him to the vet to get checked. Our overall impression: Michael is a kind person, the facility looks nice and has plenty of land for them to run and play, but the dogs are not closely monitored. You are required to sign a waiver, so if your dog is attacked or injured by another dog, the responsibility falls on you. We had planned to bring our dog back in the future, but after this experience, we will not be returning.

This pet ranch is my dog's favorite place to be! She can never get out of the car fast enough. I always get her back tired and happy. I love the big space they have to let the dogs play and run freely or rest in the AC if they get hot. Michael and his team do a great job of taking care of our girl! Highly recommend. read more

What a great doggy daycare! I've never heard of anything like this! Dogs get to run around outdoors in so much green space! My dog is getting older and losing her vision, so it's hard for her to have as much fun as before. But she has a blast here! She also takes a lot of meds and they had no issues giving them all to her! I also once had to cancel boarding last-minute, and even though it was less than 24 hours notice, Michael the owner gave me a full refund! read more

Never feel guilty again for leaving town and boarding your pet. I've been taking my dog there for 4 years and she loves to go. They have a huge yard and an Air conditioned kennel building which the dogs are free to go in and out, at their leisure. (Only put in kennels if dog prefers it when eatting or sleeping - but otherwise doors are open). There is a huge yard to roam and play with the other dogs (separated by size) and they are extremely careful to make sure each dog is healthy and up to date on all shots, flee prevention, heartworm, etc. And they have someone physically present with the dogs 24/7. My dog comes home happy and exhausted! I won't ever go back to kennel boarding. Thanks Micheal and the rest of Green Acres! read more

I was on the lookout for a place where my dog could stay and have the freedom to move around since she loves to play and be outside. I was so happy to have found this place for her where I can feel at ease knowing she has a big yard for her to explore. Michael was very understanding of my worries and was able to work around my dogs nervousness. read more

Sadly, our dog was attacked by another dog and we were not notified until pick up time hours later. I don't recommend this place for any owners purely for the lack of safety and communication. Green Acres is hands down the best place we have ever brought our dog! Most places we've found are mostly inside with a small outdoor area. There is a large area with grass and trees for dogs to race around in all day! When we drive up for the day our boy can barely contain his excitement when he sees all his dog friends running along the fence to greet him! Michael is great with the dogs, and knows how to manage a their personalities. We have found our puppy Shangri-La!! read more

Our Labrador Cooper is a fun and social dog. He is very dear and special to us and we wanted to ensure he has a wonderful, safe and fun time while we are on vacation. Sure enough, Cooper had a great time at Green Acres Pet Ranch! The dogs are free roaming through the day on the enclosed ranch. Cooper had a blast. Michael is great with dogs and we are happy we found this fun boarding place for Cooper. Prices are reasonable. This will certainly be Cooper's place of stay every time we go on vacation. read more

This is like dog heaven for dogs who love to have supervised freedom to run, play, explore. I drive a half hour each way just so my dog can spend the day under trees, rolling in grass, having the company of other dogs (who have been carefully vetted by Michael, the owner), and getting out of the heat and into the air conditioning on her own through a doggie door. Michael Jennings is personable and has established rules and procedures that he sticks to fairly and that gives me peace of mind that my dog is safe and in good hands. I cannot say enough good things about this facility. read more

My friend had the same terrible experience as I did so this is not just a one off. The doctor will never speak to you or see you after the initial first visit, he will just examine your dog for 5 minutes. The nurse will then report back whatever he says without seeming like she has even the slightest knowledge about your pets history. This was for a $1,200+ visit too. Dr. Dolan always seemed to be out of the office when I would call for my critical dogs condition as well. Also, be aware that the oncology department does not work on Fridays at this office. Even if your dog goes to their ER on a Friday with a serious problem, the Oncologist's nurse won't be able to speak with you until Monday. I had called with serious concerns about my dog on a Thursday and again just spoke to the nurse and not the Doctor. They made it seem like his symptoms weren't an issue but come to find out it was a major sign that my dog's tumor was rupturing. Have I heard from Dr. Dolan since knowing that my dog was taken into their ER that Friday and had to be put down? Nope. Because they do not care about you or your pet. Just the amount of money you give them. We also had an issue where they double charged us over $1,000 too and we had no idea for over a month. I found out at a separate ER visit from the nurse. So always check your statements! My dog had radiation treatment for his tumor at VCA and Dr. Treuil was truly incredible. He took the time to speak with me over the phone and the staff even reached out to me when they saw my dog went to the AVES ER for an eye ulcer. We were going to switch to VCA oncology since we heard great things about them, but unfortunately my dog passed before we could make the change. Please think twice before going to AVES because you will more than likely regret it.

I initially thought maybe she was busy helping other customers, but that didn't seem to be the case. What made the experience worse was what happened next. While I was still browsing near the entrance, several other customers walked in. Every single one of them was greeted by the gentleman behind the counter. I hate to even bring this up, but it left me wondering why my experience was so different. I'm a Hispanic male with tattoos, and every other customer who was greeted appeared to be white with no visible tattoos. I truly hope that wasn't the reason, but I honestly can't think of another explanation for the difference in treatment. Either way, it was disappointing. I had specifically chosen to visit a local specialty shop because I wanted the advice and expertise that comes with it. Instead, I left feeling unwelcome and will likely just go to a big box store instead--something I was hoping to avoid. From the second we arrived, Dr. Pearson and the entire care team--Megan, Ethan, and Nicole (the CEC)--were absolutely incredible. They provided top-tier medical care for our girl, but what I appreciated most was how they handled my wife and me. We were in a total state of panic, and they stayed calm, kept us informed, and treated us with so much empathy. It's rare to find a team that can balance high-level emergency medicine with such genuine bedside manner. Dr. Pearson is a total pro, and the nursing staff made us feel like our pup was their only priority. This could be my 4th time or 3rd time, but I do know it's always on a weekend. Our pets are our kids and when do they get sick or injured??? On weekends. Our Coconut once more ripped her nail almost completely off. She and Buddy who lives on the other side of the fence are always running back and forth and peeking at one another, oh yes running and barking as well. So Saturday she did it again, got her one nail caught in the slats of the fence. The good, great doctors were able to cut it off as far in as they could go. The nail is split inside but will grow out. On Monday she would not put her paw down and I couldn't touch it. It was all wrapped up good but I was fearful of taking the bandage off soooooo back to our friendly VEG ER for pets again. The doctor took the wrap off and said it looks great and healing but just like humans, the second day it hurts the worst. He was so reassessing, just keep up the medication and wear the "cone".... Today, day 5 and she is walking , even trying to run on it and just about finished with the medicine. Sleeps well, and just about to be my tom-boy, girl puppy again. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. Oh the picture I have posted is of 's sister Winnie , yes there are from the same litter. I was watching Winnie and she all of a sudden just fell over and boy was so close to dying. It was a tough, rough couple days, but the doctor's there as well as the ones on 2222 pulled her through. Michael Jennings is a true dog whisperer who provides a safe, caring environment for dogs that keeps them active and happy! Your dog will be integrated into a dog family that stays busy all day, every day, with plenty of room to run and roam and lots of exciting sights and smells! Most places just warehouse your dog while you're gone. Green Acres offers so much more and is such a better, healthier option for your dog. And the cost is so much more reasonable than the standard pet-boarding facilities. Green Acres also helps you track your dog's healthcare and vaccinations through it's website and portal. Once your dog is in, they're part of the Green Acres family. My 4-year-old dog, Jazzy has been to Green Acres many times for play dates and extended stays over the last few years. She absolutely loves Michael and Green Acres and it's easy to see that Michael really loves her and every dog he cares for at Green Acres. I don't normally write reviews but I had to because of how awesome this place is. I did a lot of research on doggie daycares and boarding and no other places come close. The price is great and our dog is happy and tired when we pick her up. I cannot say enough great things about Mike and Green Acres Pet Ranch. Our 7 month old puppy LOVES this place so much that she practically jumped out the window when we drove up our second time. First, we were so impressed with the layout and the amount of room the dogs have to roam and play. This really puts other places to shame in regards to this. Second, you can really tell how much Mike deeply cares for the dogs. He loves them and is always excited to see our Roxy (who is also excited to see him). We like that when we pick her up we are told about her day and the fun experiences she had. I wouldn't dream of taking our beloved girl anywhere else! read more

Took my 1 year old lab for an evaluation and he is absolutely in love with this place. He didn't even want to go back home with me!!! Since being home though he has barely kept his eyes open. He had such a fun full day of activities, swimming, running around with other dogs & even making a new best friend. There is so much land for all of the to run around and play in and Michael is amazing at what he does, attentive and is there to provide what you are looking for. You can tell he really enjoys/cares about what he is doing because all the dogs know him and he knows them all by name. 10/10 recommend bringing your dogs here - I will 100% be a lifelong member. It's very comfortable leaving him and communication is available whenever you need it. Such a great feeling knowing my boy is in good hands. read more

Green Acres Pet Ranch is THE place to have your pet dog boarded. We have boarded our two dogs, a border collie and mini aussie shepard, twice this year, and every time, our dogs have been exceptionally cared for. They love the secutity of the ranch while having all the space to roam, the kennels which are large, clean, and comfortable (air conditioned which is huge plus during our Texas summers), and most of all, Michael, the owner, who spoils them to bits. This is the best place ever! Our dog stayed for a full week. He had so much fun and slept for days after we picked him up. Green Acres is beautiful and big, with lots of room for the dogs to run and play. They even have goats and chickens for the dogs to watch. Micheal sent us pictures and updates everyday we were gone. He is informative, caring, kind, and a great communicator. We had lots of peace leaving our puppy here. Glad we found our forever doggy daycare/boarder! read more

This place has been such a blessing and has done amazing things for my dog and I. The owner is very nice, friendly, and super accommodating. The staff he has is also very helpful and nice. My dog has such a great time when she is there and is so happy when she's there playing with the other dogs and comes home exhausted after a full day of playing. I couldn't ask for a better place for her to go while I am working, I know she is safe and having fun while I'm away! read more

We just picked up our dog from her first ever boarding experience. We went with Green Acres because their website was well put together and informative and the owner is really responsive to text. We were very happy with the amount of space and interaction with other animals our pup would get. She was clearly well taken care of when we picked her up. Our dog absolutely loves this place when we go out of town and cant wait to get out of the car when we are driving up. Michael takes great care of the animals there and we definitely feel at ease leaving our dog with him! Mike and Green Acres is the only place we will ever board our dog. He is extremely thorough but accommodating. The facilities are great and our dog Cannon loves going there. I love the outdoor play areas the dogs get to play in all day and the entire place is completely shaded with pools for the dogs. Every time I pick up my blue heeler he's asleep before we get back on the road. I trust Micheal with my dog and the other dogs there are very kind. Michael was incredibly caring and responsive when I reached out about taking my dog there for a long weekend. Our pup had a great time during his trial run and I felt like he was taken care of during his extended stay. Dogs love this place. They are safe, loved, and get their energy out in a beautiful gated outdoor yard. Multiple pools, multiple gated yards, someone is always there, shade, AC-ed kennels that dogs can go in and out as they please. This is the best place for dogs. read more
