Neglected is a form of abuse (read before making a reservation) We dropped off our two dogs, Buddy and Flint, at A Crate Escape (ACE) on April 18th picked them up on the 22nd as soon as they opened in the morning. They both have been to ACE a few times for half-day doggy daycare without any issues. During their recent boarding, Flint was injured and after interacting with the staff afterwards we will not be using ACE again. The pictures are in descending order- from recent to previous days. I spoke to four employees and they were helpful in answering my questions but during my recent conversation with the manager he seemed defensive and calculated in what he said. We were told many conflicting stories on what had happen and on what they are supposed to do concerning notification when a pet gets an injury. The manager, Tom, told me it was just a "little scuff" on the top of Flint's muzzle. It was infuriating to hear that this injury was considered just a little scuff. All the staff blamed Flint for the injury. "He wouldn't stop rubbing his nose against the fence." As you can see in the photos, it took some time for it to become this bad. They have neglected to adequately and judiciously care for Flint's well being. Chelsea, as I said in the email. I think you are missing the point. I never said anything about the boys not having a good time or that precautions are implemented Your staff, in this instance, failed in taking responsibility of Flint's well being. This was not an accident. This was an injury that worsened over 2-3 days. The initial injury is understandable. He caused an abrasion by putting his nose in the fence chain link. Once the injury was noticed, measures should have been implemented to prevent him from doing it repeatedly over the next 1-2 days to minimize the extent of damage to the top of his muzzle. Instead, it got worse over the next 2 days. This issue could have been prevented. When Flint was picked up on Friday morning the wound was raw and seeping blood.

On our way to first day at A Crate Escape to meet new friends. Big sis has not been since brother arrived.

The staff is kind and caring as always. The team that greets and walks dogs back and forth to their canopy covered play areas (separated by dog activity levels / age and request ) when the arrive / leave are so personable and able to manage the dog racing to get to the pack for fun. Price is good and 1/2 days are perfect for my two .

After getting a new puppy we enquired to our vet on the best places to try daycare and boarding to allow our dog to socialize and have a safe place to stay while we are out of town as we have no family in the area. They suggested A Crate Escape in Round Rock. After trying three different places, we stuck with A Crate Escape and have been sending our puppy there 2-3 times per week for daycare and have had him stay overnight roughly 20 days as of him turning 10 months old. I can attest that he has more fun and comes home more tired and content from spending a day at A Crate Escape versus the other centers we tried: Pet Paradise and Camp Bow Wow, both of which were fine, they just didn't provide the perks or behavior benefits that we see from A Crate Escape. Regarding grooming, we have had nail trims and baths administered periodically and are satisfied with those results. (Our dog has short hair and will not need a hair cut) It is nice from a customer experience to walk in the door and the front desk already radio back that "brownie" is here, which makes the experience feel like we are family. Our dog shakes with excitement at the mention of going to play with friends. We will continue to use A Crate Escape with pleasure!

Do they board cats? Are cats kept apart from dogs?

Yes and they are kept in a separate area. They have kitty condos.

I picked Conscious Dog Training because the reviews show they have experience with pugs, and when Hemi had some naughty behavior that needed to be nipped in the bud, CDT stepped in and helped my husband and I better understand what was going on. I love the attention to detail and the customization done with these guys. Our trainer was Rebecca, and she showed up to our house ready to take on Hemi, who we learned, just needed boundaries and more structure in his routine. Training your dog is primarily the effort you make. So if you're ready to do the work, CDT is ready to take you on. They have a zero tolerance policy with electric shock therapy/shock collars, or anything leaning towards negative reinforcement.

By luck, I found Jennifer and she was the perfect fit. She was patient with me, was always upbeat and practiced rewards based training that I could actually repeat on my own and really helped me understand my dogs. She's honestly not just a trainer, she's a shrink for the whole family. She was able to figure out our dynamic and tell me what the dogs were thinking just by their body language and signals and taught me how to read their signs too. The aggression took not only training but meds too. Jennifer helped with so much input and advise on that too. I honestly could not have gotten through the stress of two dogs in the same household not getting along without Jenn keeping everything in perspective for me. She would remind me where we started, the plan we were on and where we were going. I clearly am beyond thrilled with Jennifer's training!! Fast forward two years and I now have more to thank Jenn for! I no longer have my Frenchie but I do have two amazing Pugs. Jenn has reminded me of the basic training I've already been taught and we are back to using our magic mats. They have been great at getting the puppy to settle as one crazy dog usually leads to two crazy dogs. We have also started our amazing loose leash training again and see how the little bit of structure helps the dogs calm down and helps us build a closer bond. This is Jenn's calling as she is an amazing dog trainer/therapist for both dogs and humans...and don't kid yourself, this training is really for you, not the dog!

Boarded our 5 month old puppy here for 11 days. Action Pack went above and beyond our expectations. They responded to our emails quickly and regularly sent photos of our pup. When we returned, our pup was happy and healthy. We now bring him for daycare once a week. He is SO excited when we drop him off in the morning and is happy and tired when we pick him up. Highly recommend Action Pack! UPDATE: this was supposed to be posted 10 yrs ago! I rarely use Yelp and only hopped on today to find a technician and saw this in the drafts. Well for 10 yrs we've been bringing our now 65-pound "Tibby" here for weekly daycare, birthday parties back in the day, and periodic boarding, and Tibby is still squeals when we turn into the driveway! Thank you for being a trusted partner in caring for our big sweet fur baby!

DELETING REVIEW SO NOBODY CAN SEE HOW TRASH IT'S THIS PLACE…read more I took my dog to this daycare on September 26, 2025, completely healthy and happy. When I picked her up, she was limping, and since that day she has not returned to normal: she does not walk, bark, or play, and her behavior has changed drastically. What concerns me even more is that, according to the staff, there is no evidence of the supposed incident that caused this situation. On top of that, my dog showed signs of having been medicated without my authorization. Customer service has been terrible. The secretary, Emilie, demonstrated a lack of professionalism by interfering with my communication with the manager, acting as if she owned the place. The way this case has been handled gives the impression that they are hiding information instead of providing clear solutions. My dog went from being a happy pet to a sad one with mobility problems after being under their care. For these reasons, I absolutely do not recommend this daycare: they showed a lack of transparency, responsibility, and proper care for my pet.

Owners were confused and just zapped away without proper training and guidance, I pulled my dog out immediately. If you truly love your dog, and want to learn proper communication, consider positive reinforcement. The only situation I 'maybe' consider this is a pup with aggressive behavior. Otherwise, I would NEVER recommend this type of training. NEVER.

The owner does need to be diligent with taking their dog to the trainings (we kind of fell off at the end but it was okay) but as long as you stick with it, your dog will learn new skills and will be better behaved than before. We can literally walk our dog without a leash now, I never thought that would be possible. She will sit in her place when people come over and we are always getting compliments on how good she is. We can do things in the front yard and have her stay in the garage and she won't run after other dogs that walk by or other other people or children. She has learned to stay in her place for as long as we need her to be. It's funny because she was a really wild dog before and now that she's trained everybody loves her. overall the training here was worth it and we are really happy that we did it!
