Jennifer training Bear Bryant to sit
    Robin M.

In just one 90 min session we were "sold". Jennifer, of Conscious Canines, came to our house. Bear ,11 week old Golden retriever , was sitting using a hand signal and going in and out of his crate that he hated! Instead of negative attention for mistakes ,she showed us how to ignore the dog and praise him for positive response The thing is Jennifer actually had us doing the training. What a difference from dragging our dog to a strange place with many other owners training there Canines. She made it easy. I would recommend Jennifer She did the trick and made it painless.

I am amazed at the comfortable and confident ease with which Jennifer teaches and trains both dog and owner simultaneously. I was a support person, to take notes, record techniques by phone, remind my sister ( dog owner) of details she might have missed. Instant change of dog behavior was evident-- this dog welcomed the boundaries! He wanted someone to make him mind-- to care enough to expect standards of behavior (so like our kids) Jennifer stressed the all important realities-- know your dog breed! Teach to those strengths and follow through with your needs for behavior. I highly recommend this "whisperer"! She changed my sister's life with the positive changes in her dog!

Our butter half, Arlo, after one of his sessions with Conscious Canines. He loved hanging out with Jennifer!

Jennifer helped me and my husband with our new pup, Arlo. She is amazing!! We adopted Arlo as a 6 month old puppy right before we were about to move from Austin to Virginia and were in a panic to get adjusted during a very chaotic time (for humans and dogs alike!). Jennifer was so helpful to us, so patient with Arlo, and definitely made us feel much more confident in our continued training. Even after we left, she texted with us when we had a "resource guarding" issue with another dog and helped us know exactly what to do. We can't imagine what we would have done without Jennifer! She was worth her weight in gold to us!

We went to a couple of places, one even where you can watch on an app that was closer to us, but when we went to visit the place, we did not like the "vibe" of the place. When we took a tour (just call, and they will let you take a look at the facility before hand) of Paws Landing, we immediately felt great! We had our puppy for an half day "evaluation" with Durenda, which also made us feel at ease. She is marvelous!!! When we picked her up from that, she went over everything she did, and how she thought our puppy would do. They had her in a small yard first and let our puppy feel safe before they had her with the other dogs. I really like too, how they have the dogs separated into "small dogs", " large dogs" and "very active dogs". She has a great team working with her, watching over them, and most importantly taking care of them all day. They will always send you a text and email to confirm your reservation, which is great. They go inside and outside to play all day. If they go "all day" they will get a 2-hour rest, so they get a break from all the fun! But, believe me, when you pick your dog, they will be tired when they get home, which is "good thing"! Pam will send you pictures later via text of your dog, which is great to see at the end of the day. Now, that my dog has gone for awhile, she gets excited when we get there, and she is excited to see Pam and her team when I drop her off. Look no further for a great place for "doggy day care", Pam and her team will take VERY GOOD care of them, like they were one of their own!!!

The workers are so kind and continued to give me updates throughout the day. They even sent a report card for my babies which is so funny i love it hahaha!! But what I really appreciated was Pam the owner reached out to me personally and called me, which is always comforting to hear from the owner. She was so amazing and walked me through the process. It was just the reassurance I needed. Their website to book is so easy to manage too which is really nice and pretty affordable pricing!

Chasing Life Dog Training - Happy, well behaved pup, all thanks to Selene!

We paid for a 7-lesson package and only received 2 lessons where she recommends a shock collar and goes over basic sit stay commands. The remaining 5 lessons were never provided, and communication stopped. Scheduling was very difficult, responses were slow/nonexistent, and the overall experience was terrible. We have requested a refund for the unused portion but was ghosted. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this business and recommend that you keep your money and pets far away from this shady place.

She was about 6 months, HIGH energy, and zero training (not even house trained). Enter Selene. We did two weeks of board and train, and the transformation was astounding. It was crystal clear our pup loves and trusts Selene. We took our dogs to Boston for 6 weeks this summer for work, and our chiweenie developed some new issues (a result of being smack in the middle of a major city, which she was unaccustomed to). Selene worked with her again, and sure enough our dog came back confident and well behaved. Selene also offers board and play, which we've used several times. As soon as we pull into the drive for Chasing Life our dog begins whining and cannot get in the door fast enough! There are several other employees at Chasing Life and she loves all of them. I can't recommend Chasing Life highly enough. Selene is extraordinarily intuitive!

I explained, my other dog was waiting in the car - in A/C, with my brother, as I have health challenges and it would be difficult for me to manage both dogs at the same time. The receptionist said she did not care. It would be easier for them if I brought both dogs in at once. I reluctantly complied, and the receptionist / tech further hassled me, insisting on weighing the dogs four times, as she and I disagreed regarding the dogs weight - due to the harness, leash, and other items also being on the scale. I was ultimately placed in a room, while I tried to manage both my dogs at once. I waited for about 20 minutes, no one came into the room, so I left. In the lobby, 3 or 4 other employees were just sitting on the sofas. Not sure if they scheduled us during break times or why no one ever came in.
