I called Briana at the recommendation of a coworker for my 8 year old Am Staff that was showing signs of separation/isolation anxiety. I consider myself a pretty well educated dog owner and had increased my dog's exercise and training when she began showing these signs but to no avail. Briana did one home visit and gave us a handful of additional tools that we could use to see immediate results. (Disclaimer: There is no magic trick and you must be willing to put in the effort). I highly recommend Briana Stringer for any dog training needs! We adopted our dog five months ago from APA. She was ten minutes away from being euthanized at a kill shelter when APA stepped in and quickly moved her to a foster home. She was labeled having "stranger danger" and "fear aggression", which could very well have led the kill shelter to move her to being euthanized quickly, as she was not there for any length of time. I had asked APA if we would be able to train her and eventually obtain the AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate. We were told due to her level of fear, she would never be able to earn the AKC's CGC certificate, but that any type of training would be beneficial. We took a full month to transition her to our home and I was able to witness the intense fear she had toward anyone she saw as a stranger. We chose to work with Briana Stringer as our trainer and enrolled in Sublime Canine's Good Manners 1 group course. Briana has worked with rescues before and has an eye for detail - noticing every subtle nuance of a dog's behavior. Briana coached us on what to look for and how to observe her body language in relationship to other dogs and strangers. Briana trained us on how to be better human companions and really made an impression on me to always set our Pup up for success. We place our dogs in situations and it's up to us to know how to respond, protect and set our canines up to be successful. In six weeks, she graduated from Good Manner 1 and was recognized as the most improved. She was able to walk off leash at designated parks that allow off leash. Her fear subsided enormously and I could tell that her confidence (and ours) was building and gaining strength each week. We immediately signed her up for the Good Manners 2 course with Briana. After working with her for the first six weeks, I asked Briana if she felt there would ever be a day that our Pup could eventually pass the CGC exam (Briana is a AKC CGC evaluator, as well). Briana mentioned that she would had said no during the first week of class, but after seeing the amazing changes, she felt it would be possible. During the Good Manners 2 course, there was one week where I did not set her up for success, though I had good intentions. Briana coached me several times over the phone and was genuinely supportive of us. Briana helped me regain confidence in continuing our training and we rebounded and became stronger. At the end of the Good Manners 2 course, we signed up for the CGC exam and she PASSED!!!!! This would NEVER have happened without Briana! I was looking for the information on Sublime Canines so that I could send a client and her new pup to manners class with Brianna. I saw this thread and wanted to add my own review as I have known and have had the pleasure of working with Brianna over the years. I am a professional handler and behaviorist for over 30 years. I was disabled in 2005 and have only been doing in home lessons on a part time basis. I send my families to Sublime Canines and let Brianna work her magic with socialization and manners and she never disappoints me. She has a great positive training style and understands how to help you communicate with your best friends. She has amazing problem solving skills and treats every client and their pet with respect and to me this is very important in a trainer. She understands that most problems are no more than a lack of communication and she can convey this to her students in a way that does not leave you feeling inadequate and trust me I have trained with so many that do not have this talent. When we first met and I watched her train I would think that yes this is the wave of the future and that with young trainers like Brianna the world would be a better place for not only the dogs but for their families. I do not trust my students to many other trainers and with Brianna I never have to worry as they always come back with happy, healthy well socialized pups. Let me tell you about Ms. Briana... She is an AMAZING dog trainer (and dog-owner trainer). I have 2 mixes who were so poorly behaved that I was embarrassed to go anywhere with them. They would bark at people and other dogs. One would run away when he was off leash and one would bark non-stop at visitors in our house. She also had anxiety-peeing. Jake used to be so aggressive and nervous around intact male dogs that he would attack... He would also run away, I mean RUN AWAY chasing a smell when he was off leash and you had to physically catch him. Briana is truly a miracle dog trainer. Our dogs are so relaxed now, listen, and have "jobs;" it is like they are new dogs! I have gained skills from Briana that will only help in my own training. She has the ability to explain things in such simple ways that you and your dogs are set up for success. Briana is an amazing dog-trainer and person. When we first contacted Sublime Canines we felt so hopeless with our Husky. We had recently moved to Austin, TX from Wisconsin. We had tried to find trainers in WI, but everyone said they couldn't help us, that our issues were too severe. I for sure thought when she came into our home that she'd tell us the same thing. I am a lifelong dog owner, however, I have always had "easy" dogs. My current dog, is what I like to call a "special needs" dog. Before I met Briana, I thought my dog and I would be banned to a lonely dog-owner existance. I couldn't take her anywhere for fear of how she would react. Briana has taught me how to read her body language and signals and how to help her react in a more appropriate way. I am so grateful to her for helping us get out and enjoy this dog friendly town. Briana is a fantastic dog trainer and makes classes super enjoyable. She's very clear to set expectations (e.g. you can't walk in and out of class thinking your dog will be trained if you're not willing to do the legwork on your own!) and great at managing a class of people, as well as dogs! I decided to try Sublime on a recommendation from a coworker and was not disappointed. My border collie mix was (well...still is) very high energy but after going through the Good Manners 1 class, I'm able to manage him much more. I originally started working with Briana through Karma dog training. I needed help with my Siberian Husky/ German Shepherd mix. He is a wonderful dog, very smart and was easy to train as a puppy, but his high energy and need for independence started really getting difficult to manage when he turned 1. He was never aggressive, but he is highly excitable around other dogs. If off-leash, he would bolt full speed towards other dogs and run into to them, bark or paw them to play with him. This usually ended up with him getting attacked by owners who said their dog had always been super friendly and playful. We also had issues with chasing other animals like cats/deer. We turned to Briana because it started getting dangerous and were worried he would get injured by another dog or even get hit by a car. We had 3 private lessons with Briana and after our third lesson Ryu was a completely different dog. He was much more bonded to us and constantly checking in during walks. For the first time we were able to go on walks around other dogs and people without Ryu pulling, barking or jumping and I am completely amazed. We just started good manners now with Briana and the first night Ryu was around 5 other dogs and was PERFECTLY behaved. I highly recommend Briana for any dog owner in need of training. She is positive, upbeat and truly cares that you are dog succeed. If you are willing to put in the work, she will do whatever it takes. We are extremely happy with Ryu's progress and I know when he is done with training the results will be life changing! We can't thank Briana enough! read more

We asked Briana to give us some private lessons for our scottish terrier puppy, and have been absolutely astonished at how much progress he has made in 5 sessions. Every week Briana came with a plan of what we should address that day, and always left plenty of time for practice and questions. At the end of every session, we had a very clear idea of what we needed to practice before our next lesson. I feel like we have a much better understanding of our dog's behavior, and we have made great progress towards achieving our goal of having a well mannered puppy. We had an issue with the behavior of one of our Goldens. We found Brianna and I called her. By the end of the call I knew she understood the issue and she outlined an action plan. We ended up receiving training for our 4 dogs as their interaction was the issue we needed to address. She trained the dogs and the humans and did an excellent job, Briana is focused and driven. The best training my dog has ever had. I can't wait for my kids to come home from vacation to show that our dog Sammy doesn't pull hard anymore when you walk him. No pull at all. Sammy is an stubborn alfa male golden retriever. That is what his vet said. I have tried so many trainers, one trainer charged $200 for 1.5 hours and a pinch collar. Sammy hated it so much. Briana is great with Sammy and he loves working with her. I was just going to be happy with the walking training, but I am so satisfied I want Briana to continue training Sammy with other skills. Briana is awesome. She helped us immensely when we brought our very first dog home. We had adopted him from the Austin Animal Center and were having a hard time with his aggresive behavior - we actually ended up returning him a week later. We then contacted Briana when we decided to bring him back and give it another shot. Briana is nothing short of amazing! We called her for private lessons with our 3 year old Weimaraner and 4 year old Cockapoo. Our Weim was super hyperactive and terrified of toddlers and since we are expecting a baby in November we wanted to work with him before these things became bigger problems. We have now had 4 of our 5 training session and have seen a huge difference. She has given us so many tools to use when the dogs are feeling stressed or anxious. The most amazing change has been the hyperactivity and demanding behavior from our Weim. He is slowly but surely getting calmer and calmer (who knew that was possible for a Weim!?!) even surrounding feeding time. She has always been willing to adapt when Arty makes it clear something isn't working for him. She is super knowledgable about all things dog and has taught us so much about the dogs.
