I love Camp Bow Wow! My boys go here once a week for daycare and I love that I can watch them all day. The staff is super amazing, they are all very friendly and greet my boys by name. At other daycare's we've gone to in the past, my boys would sometimes come home with decent size scrapes and cuts. I never worry about that happening here since they monitor the play so well! We haven't used their boarding services yet but if we are ever in a pinch this will be where we go. I also love the seasonal picture days :)

I've been taking my dogs here for a while now. However, I didn't board them until just recently! I am glad to say that everything went smoothly and my boys had a great time. The staff is always delightful super welcoming to my dogs and is more than excited to see them when they walk in. . One of my dogs was super shy and scared of everything. After taking him to day care for a couple of time he grew to love the staff !! He gives them kisses when he walks in and he's not shy at day care that's for sure! . The staff is super great, if your a tiger mom you can call them and they will answer all your questions on your pets! They are super busy so maybe one day they may grow in another location. But they treat all the dogs really well and my boys always come back tired! Also they vet the dogs really well to make sure everyone is having a safe and enjoyable time !! . They also have cute things like picture day and doggy bday parties which I love !! . Best day care hands down and we've been to a lot!

I love how they post photos of the dogs to their Instagram as well!

Our dogs had a great time at Camp Bow Wow. We have used many other daycare services before. We just moved to ATX and were looking for a place we would feel comfortable leaving our dogs, as we have no friends or family here. Camp Bow Wow OVER exceeded our expectations. We have 3 dogs and our female is VERY nervous, it takes her a long time to warm up. So I was very concerned about her passing the exam. The staff did AMAZING with her. Especially the gal that owns the Bull Terriers. (Please don't hate me for forgetting your name!) She made me SO comfortable and called to give us updates during the process. I also LOVE that the facility has cameras that I can check on thru the day. We will forever be customers of this facility!

Love from the Camp Bow Wow Staff!

We love Camp Bow Wow! My 16year old Akita mix has been boarding there for the last year. The staff knows him every time he comes in and is excited to see him. I love that I can 'helicopter parent' (as my other half calls it) and see what's going on while I'm away via their site or the app. This last trip he turned 16 over his stay and he came home with a card and bandana from all the staff, it was such a sweet gesture. I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow for you four legged kiddos!

I am so pleased with my (and Trooper's) experience with Camp Bow Wow!! They offer a free trial day where you can tour the facility, have a doggy interview and drop him off for the entire day. Upon picking up my little man from his trail day, I recieved a very cute and enthusiastic report card called "D-Tails" (get it? lol). Now, I know they probably give raving reviews for every dog that passes through because it is after all their business, but I can not tell you how happy and proud I was when I picked up Trooper to a staff that was gushing about how wonderful Trooper is. The normal, not-irrational-mother side of me knows that Trooper is not the sharpest crayon the box... but I still love that they made him seem that way! Camp Bow Wow is also very convenient. They do not require that you call ahead to reserve a spot, there are no specified "pick up/drop off" hours, they let you pay day by day (though it's cheaper to buy a package) and their prices are not bad compared to the place I used to go to (and othe doggy play days in general). Their welcoming staff is excellant. Super friendly and they are always educated on how the dog did that day/who your dog played with. I have only been there a few times (3 or 4 play days so far) and they already know Trooper's name without looking him up. I also love the "Camper-Cams" they have set up for your viewing pleasure. I am guilty to pulling up those camper cam's during work hours. Why? Because it is so cute to see your dog playing with other dogs, and I get extreme comfort knowing that I can see my dog, know exactly what is going on and how the employees interact with the dogs. With these camper cams you can see the extent of the supervision. I love that I will almost always see a person in the camper areas either playing with the dogs, scooping poop, or simply sitting and petting them. Though my dog doesn't go up and cuddle with the people... I find it comforting that they have someone on hand who could respond quickly should the dogs get aggressive (and lets be honest: that is bound to happen sometimes, these are dogs we're talking about). Trooper does come home with a few scratches and scrapes but again, what do you expect? He is playing with dogs literally all day long! Though all of these things are great, my favorite thing about Camp Bow Wow is how tired Troop is at the end of the day. There is nothing worse than coming home from an 11 hour day to an energetic dog. Camp Bow Wow fixes this problem for me and for that I am most grateful!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this business. They allow me to leave my dogs bedding, he gets to play all day, he's always tired when I pick him up and he's always excited to go in when I drop him off. They have package prices which give you a free night of boarding and the camper cams are a huge bonus! I know my dog is either playing, eating or sleeping! They're customer service is excellent. They took my dog for his "interview day" the same day I had wanted to make a reservation and had an employee come in during a non shift to do so. So so pleased with camp bow wow and they're our forever camp zone!

The exterior is bland and gloomy but the inside is the opposite!

Anyone who has been through boarding their pet with either strangers or an unknown company, know that this can be a terrifying experience. You just want your pet to be happy, well taken care of, and come out of the experience unscathed in every way possible. I'm sure you've heard/read horror stories and just cross your fingers you don't become another one. Living walking distance from Camp Bow Wow and having passed the place tons of times, we decided to give Camp Bow Wow a shot because we will be going out of town for a while. Upon checking their web site, we saw that they give free tours as well as do interviews with the pet prior to the actual boarding (which they said was mandatory...but not a bad idea anyway). This consists of bringing your pet for a minimum of 3 hrs and can go throughout the day. So we decided to go take a tour of the facility and called them on the spot. They quickly answered and said we could go in anytime. Upon arriving to the area, it was a bit hard to find because it looks like a desolate parking lot with a cluster of nondescript commercial buildings. But when we found it, we immediately liked what we saw. Once inside the building, it is a big contrast to the bland exterior. The frint desk receptionist was nice and inviting and was more than happy to answer any questiosn we had. She took us for a very brief tour of the inside where the animals are crated. The crates are individualized and were much bigger than I had expected. For our little runt, the crate is like a studio apt! There are even fleece elevated cots that the animals can sleep on which was a nice touch. She even showed us the temperature controlled suites (for more $$$). A great thign about those suites is that they have a camera so you can use the web app to watch your precious pet remotely! Super cool! Then there is both an indoor and outdoor recreation area that the animals can hang out and play. So far, we really like the place, the staff, and the prices. The next step for us is to bring our little brat for his interview soon to see if how he acts. I will do a follow up review after we use the boarding service. For now I must keep the rating as 5 stars, let;s see if this changes or not ;)

when i was looking at the cameras for my dog i noticed one person who was dragging and yelling at the dogs. when i look late i saw the same chick dragging another dog. She got some major anger management probs. it seems like some of them dont even like dogs bc of how mad they look. i dont trust these ppl with my dog and idk how anyone thinks this is exceptable

Before I was able to schedule the appointment they made sure she had her Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP vaccinations. Since she's 16 and her vet has discontinued her Distemper vaccinations, they were very accommodating and just required a letter from the veterinarian explaining that exception and then they had a really easy and thorough portal to setup a profile and upload those documents, so I the future if I want to use their boarding she'll be all ready as far as vet records go (and it's easy to update in the future). We were happy to see that Megan greeted is and would be doing the grooming since she was the one who we met at NUZZL and did a great job with the nail trim a few weeks earlier. I was told it would be about 2 to 3 hours at most and got a text message at 2 hr 15 minutes saying she was ready to be picked up. Right on time!! There was no rush for me to get her, since she was in a kennel. When I arrived I got a tour of the boarding facilities which looked great and a rundown of how they schedule the day for the pups playtime and walks. It's nice to know they are so close to my house if I need a place in the future. Then my pup Kieli was brought out from the back and her hair was so shiny and I gave her a quick back rub and no hair came flying off. And she usually sheds like crazy!!! Great job and they took care of my pup well twice now.

I urge owners to reconsider using Mud Puppies…read more My dogs have been boarding here for a few years, and recently, they vaccinated one of my dogs for Bordetella without my permission or knowledge. My dog was already vaccinated, and had recent veterinary records uploaded, but they made a mistake which I didn't find out about until they tried to charge me for it. They cited an undated note in their files from a previous visit, but had no real way of confirming how it happened, or how to ensure it wouldn't happen again. The mistake was concerning. The reaction to it, or lack thereof, was even more concerning. I've asked to have a manager call me, which hasn't happened, and there is no urgency, or sense of concern from the staff. If they're able to brush off a mistake like that, what else is happening without owner knowledge? In my recent visit there were other smaller concerns, and lack of attention to detail, and I no longer feel confident in the staff.

Can I give them ten stars?! I won't lie, part of me kind of doesn't want to write this or say…read moreanything because I don't want to have to fight for my baby to have a great place to stay, but also as a truly psycho pet parent...I know, I'll own it... this place made my heart so happy. This was my third or fourth (can't even remember the others were so traumatizing) doggy daycare to visit. This is the only one that didn't instantly hit me in the face with the smell of urine or wet dog...eww. Also, this one has amazing staff members that actually seem happy in their jobs, not just hating their lives and overwhelmed by dogs. BHV takes a completely different approach to daycare than the others I saw. They keep the dogs in play groups of no more than 8-10 dogs. Others literally got as high as 40! I had a baby anxiety attack just watching it on the monitors. They let the play groups go outside and run around for around 20 minutes and play really hard, then that group goes back to their individual dog set up, which is NOT a crate! It's this precious little white picket fence area where the fence is 4-5 feet tall...pending height of the animals (they have a room for big dogs and a room for small dogs). You bring your baby's bed, stuffed toys, snacks, whatever they need, they provide water bowls, food bowls, etc. There is a big screen TV in all of the rooms where your dog will be resting for some background noise so that they aren't freaked out by every new sound. If you use the normal space with the picket fences, your babies can still see their friends "across the way" so they know they're not alone. During the approximately 1 hr to 1.5 hrs that your dog will be in the white picket fence area resting, there is one staff member coming around a few times to let each dog out to run down the hall and say "hi" to all of it's friends and get a little energy out, if it wants. You can also actually board your animal here over night...they have many levels of quite nice spaces (a couple suites are nicer than my bedroom LOL). This review is not about that, as we only use them for daycare. My dog and others that I've witnessed get so excited when pulling into the parking lot. Drop offs have become "mom, get outta my way, love you bye, I have friends to see". They post pics of the dogs throughout the day on social media so you can see your baby having fun. My husband and I have quickly fallen in love with this place, the lovely "hoos" that run it and even the fellow parents. It just seems like everyone loves being a part of this place. I have zero guilt about leaving my kid here, as I know she is having tons of fun and comes home a tired baby.
