Pet sitting doesn't get better than this. When we moved to the area, we were in need of last minute pet sitting due to a sudden need to go back to our previous home. Of the multiple pet sitters we contacted, Erica from Fur Your Pets was the most prompt to respond and most personable, and was the start of repeated great pet sitting service. Over the last year and a half, we went from requesting in-home visits to take care of 3 cats, to in-home full day care (pet-sitting and house-sitting combined) for 3 cats and 2 dogs - one being a super rambunctious rottweiler. We did a "trial" weekend stay in preparation for a longer trip, and Erica did a fantastic job of taking care of everyone, even the rottweiler, which we were a bit worried about. Our pets love Erica and being able to stay in a familiar environment while we are traveling really shows. Our dogs get excited when she comes over, and when her visit ends, we come back to relaxed and perfectly normal (maybe a little disappointed to see us rather than Erica?) family. Our pets with prior pet sitters and kennels exhibited a bit of stress and anxiety after we came back, so this is a really great change for them. I am so happy that I found Fur Your Pets! Erica & Cody are amazing with the dogs and are incredible with the little extras they provide all in the name of customer service. My wife and I first came upon Fur Your Pets because we wanted our dogs to stay in our home while we went on vacation. One of our dogs is 14 yrs. old and we did not want to stress him by having him boarded for a week. After extensive research of all of the area dog sitters, not only were Fur Your Pets the best priced but they supplied the most services! They will stay with the dogs almost the whole day with several walks, short potty breaks, play-time in the house, feedings, and more. The older dog has special needs and he has to wear a doggie diaper and Cody & Erica didn't flinch when I told them that it needs to be changed a couple times a day. They also will do the little things around the house. For example, they will water your plants, pick up the mail, and bring out the garbage. Fur Your Pets was such a wonderful service we booked them to dog sit for another week within the same month. Not only are they my go-to dog sitters, they now walk the dogs 3 days a week. For the 30 minute visit, they still change the old man's diaper, change the wee-wee pad, walk the two younger ones, change the water AND give them their afternoon treat. Other places tried to nickel and dime us by saying we could pay extra to read them a bedtime story or pay extra so they could hang out during the day with other dogs at "daycare." Erica and Cody would NEVER dream of charging for such asinine, trivial tasks. They go above and beyond because they love what they do and it shows. The dogs now wait at the door starting at noon because they know one of the two Fur Your Pet partners are going to give them a fun time. The best thing I can say about Erica, Cody, and their business is we think of them as family -- and my wife hasn't even met Erica. Erica takes such amazing care of our two dogs and cat and, in doing so, reduces the worry from my wife while out of town. Everybody will be well taken care of -- not just in, feed, and out they go. They spend time with each pet and everybody is happier when we return. Case in point: Before Erica, our oldest dog, Sophie, suffered from separation anxiety (she's now 14.5 years old) and would, at times, poop (a polite way of saying this) all over the carpets ... so much so we had to replace. Erica has worked with us according to Sophie's needs ... sometimes that's morning and evening visits with short walks, sometimes it's staying over at Erica's (we call it Camp Erica), and even once during a long absence she stayed at our house. Every time we've returned home Sophie, as well as Lucy and Olive (the cat), is happy, relaxed, and nothing in the house is messed up. Erica even waters plants for us, brings in packages, and has been known to do the dishes. And after each visit -- this is the real treat for my wife -- Erica or Cody sends a quick photo collage from their phones of the pets at home, in the backyard, on a walk. This does wonders for us. Another point: Sophie has a pill routine, which we leave in detailed instructions. Nothing too perplexing but time consuming and easy to forget. Erica and Cody make sure all pills are taken and nothing is missed. We've used them a bunch of times and they always accommodate us. I can't say much more -- except welcome to the family. By the way: Fur Your Pets uses Venmo, which makes it super convenient to pay our bill. Erica also leaves a detailed schedule of when they arrived and what they did for each visit. read more
