When we took a tour (just call, and they will let you take a look at the facility before hand) of Paws Landing, we immediately felt great! We had our puppy for an half day "evaluation" with Durenda, which also made us feel at ease. She is marvelous!!! When we picked her up from that, she went over everything she did, and how she thought our puppy would do. They had her in a small yard first and let our puppy feel safe before they had her with the other dogs. I really like too, how they have the dogs separated into "small dogs", " large dogs" and "very active dogs". She has a great team working with her, watching over them, and most importantly taking care of them all day. They will always send you a text and email to confirm your reservation, which is great. They go inside and outside to play all day. If they go "all day" they will get a 2-hour rest, so they get a break from all the fun! But, believe me, when you pick your dog, they will be tired when they get home, which is "good thing"! Pam will send you pictures later via text of your dog, which is great to see at the end of the day. Now, that my dog has gone for awhile, she gets excited when we get there, and she is excited to see Pam and her team when I drop her off. After boarding her this time (we've been customers there for years), we were told she displayed behaviors such as growling and was no longer welcome to return. What I find most concerning is that this facility also promotes dog training services, yet there was no effort to discuss what may have triggered her behavior, offer recommendations, suggest training options, or work with us on a plan for future success. Instead, we were simply told not to bring her back. I fully understand that any boarding facility has the right to make decisions based on safety concerns. However, anxious and fearful behaviors are not uncommon in boarding environments, and I expected a business that offers training services to have a more knowledgeable and supportive approach. As pet owners, we trust boarding facilities to care for our dogs during what can already be a stressful experience. Rather than feeling supported, we left feeling judged and dismissed. If your dog struggles with anxiety or fear in unfamiliar situations, I would encourage you to ask detailed questions about how those behaviors are assessed and managed before booking. We'll gladly be taking our business elsewhere and won't be back with our current dog or any future dogs.

Their location is quite a drive for me and it's pretty expensive. For example, the last daycare visit was $84. It's 49.50 for a REPS day, then I added $20 so she could play in the splash pool, and finally, I pay $12 for her to have a lunchtime Kong. You also don't get photos unless you pay $20 for a Facebook updates pics. I didn't pay for that and therefore got no pics of her at the Splash Park and incidentally, she was not in any photos with other dogs who played (and had a ball judging by the photos on the FB page) in the water that day & who's pawrents did pay for the FB update. I'm happy to pay for my dog to have fun but the way she was apparently separated out because I didn't pay, obviously disappointed me. So, needless to say, I'm looking for another daycare that is perhaps a little closer.

We have used them for years for boarding when we went away on vacation, but recently we had my father-in-law move in with us while he was on hospice. Winston was not a big fan of his nurse, so we put him in daycare at Happy Tails. It was the best thing that ever happened to Winston. They were patient, kind, and always loving towards him. He loves going there and jumps into the car when you tell him where he's going. We will be forever grateful for the peace of mind that Happy Tails gave us during a very tough time in our lives.

Our dogs have never been boarded so I was worried about their behavior or being around the unknown humans. Megan, the owner, made them feel right at home. This isn't your typical boarding facility where dogs are in a kennel all day with a couple of play times. They can play or sleep all day with other dogs until bed time. Your dog is given the best type of socialization with other dogs of similar size and energy. Along with the solicitation, you get to learn valuable lessons on how to train and prepare your dog to be the best pet around. What makes this place better than the rest is the property. After touring multiple day cares in Austin, you soon learn that they all give the dogs a box the size of a bedroom to try and get their energy out. HP takes it to the next level with a massive field with toys and obstacles that they can run until they're tired. Our pup would come back each week, and instantly pass out. One word of advice, if you have a dog like ours, be prepared for a bath when you get home, because they will come home dirty. This is definitely not the place if you are trying to keep your dog clean. That being said, it is worth the bath.

When we returned, our pup was happy and healthy. We now bring him for daycare once a week. He is SO excited when we drop him off in the morning and is happy and tired when we pick him up. Highly recommend Action Pack! UPDATE: this was supposed to be posted 10 yrs ago! I rarely use Yelp and only hopped on today to find a technician and saw this in the drafts. Well for 10 yrs we've been bringing our now 65-pound "Tibby" here for weekly daycare, birthday parties back in the day, and periodic boarding, and Tibby is still squeals when we turn into the driveway! Action Pack went above and beyond to help our family during a recent medical emergency. We were out…read moreof the state when a family member suffered a sudden medical emergency and no one was was available to care for his dog. Even though Action Pack was moments away from closing that evening, the employees stayed long enough to allow a family friend time to retrieve the dog from the home and bring to Action Pack. Action Pack was extremely accommodating throughout this entire ordeal - finding space for the dog and allowing him to be dropped off for an undetermined amount of time, even going into a holiday weekend. Unbeknownst to us, at the time of drop off, this dog had a severe flea infestation. The staff at Action Pack treated the situation professionally and compassionately. Not only did Action Pack completely eliminate the fleas, but they continued to care for him in the days afterwards- giving him multiple oatmeal baths and ointment to help provide relief for the skin irritation. By the time we got back to Texas and were able to pick up the dog, he was 100% back to his happy and healthy self. We are extremely grateful to Action Pack for helping us during this hectic and stressful time and have no doubt that the dog was well cared for throughout. We also appreciate the professional and courteous manner in which we were treated upon pickup. Action Pack is absolutely, hands down, the best boarding facility we have ever worked with.
