Due to pandemic, I found most places were only doing virtual trainings which didn't satisfy me, as this is my first dog. Luckily, I got in contact with CDT, referral from a friend who heard from a friend that they were awesome. From the first phone call (sorry can't remember who took it), they answered all my questions and addressed my worries when it came to getting the proper training. One of their trainers, Maxine, was able to fit us in her schedule on short notice. After that first private session, we learned so much! Skylar recently completed a 7 day board and train with Maxine and came back less nippy, almost potty trained and now showing default behaviors like sit anytime a human or dog walks by. We have a follow up with Maxine in a few weeks and can't wait! Aside from these private sessions, the owner runs a puppy support group on Facebook which is SO extremely helpful. Her instagram is very active, with tips every single day that help me in between sessions. Maxine was also super helpful in recommending a safe doggie daycare that uses the positive reinforcement approach. So thankful to have found CDT!

We were out…read moreof the state when a family member suffered a sudden medical emergency and no one was was available to care for his dog. Even though Action Pack was moments away from closing that evening, the employees stayed long enough to allow a family friend time to retrieve the dog from the home and bring to Action Pack. Action Pack was extremely accommodating throughout this entire ordeal - finding space for the dog and allowing him to be dropped off for an undetermined amount of time, even going into a holiday weekend. Unbeknownst to us, at the time of drop off, this dog had a severe flea infestation. The staff at Action Pack treated the situation professionally and compassionately. Not only did Action Pack completely eliminate the fleas, but they continued to care for him in the days afterwards- giving him multiple oatmeal baths and ointment to help provide relief for the skin irritation. By the time we got back to Texas and were able to pick up the dog, he was 100% back to his happy and healthy self. We are extremely grateful to Action Pack for helping us during this hectic and stressful time and have no doubt that the dog was well cared for throughout. We also appreciate the professional and courteous manner in which we were treated upon pickup. Action Pack is absolutely, hands down, the best boarding facility we have ever worked with.

Even though my little one was nervous on day 1, the staff was so attentive and made my dog feel comfortable. She did so much better on day 2 and the staff let me know every step of the way. I highly recommend action pack. Their appointment system/website is great as well, making appointments easy, while also keeping me updated on her daily report card. Also, my little one doesn't smell terrible when I pick her up from daycare. Try them out you won't regret it.

I'll admit, I was initially hesitant about spending so much money on training, but looking back, it has been one of the best investments I've made for my dog. The amount of training, support, and resources you get is incredible, and we have gotten SO much use out of our membership! We originally signed up because my dog was pulling on walks, but these classes have opened up a whole new world for both of us! What I love most is how hands-on their approach is. The training starts with a full day where they work one-on-one with your dog, and then they bring you in to teach you everything they've worked on so you can continue building those skills together. From there, you have the opportunity to attend ongoing group classes and private training sessions. My dog and I would come in once, sometimes even twice a week! The amount of time and attention they dedicate to both you and your dog is truly incredible. Taz has been our trainer since the very beginning, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her! She genuinely listens to your concerns, understands what you want to work on, and helps you achieve those goals. You can tell how passionate and knowledgeable the trainers are, and the way they work with dogs is amazing to watch. What started as simply wanting my dog to stop pulling on walks turned into an experience that has strengthened our bond and given us so much more confidence together. If you're hesitant because of the price, I completely understand because I was too! But the value you get, especially with the ongoing classes and support, makes it worth every penny. We absolutely love it here, and I couldn't recommend Taz and the entire team more!!

We just went through their program with our second dog. Both rambunctious pits. She is coming along. The collar is a vibration to get her attention. I can set it to whatever is needed. This is not the collar that actually gives the dog a shock. If you realize the training is for the owner really. We have to be consistent. She is much better behaved now, but still needs some work. We have owned a lot of dogs through the years. If you work with your dog consistently then they will learn. Our trainer is Ashley and I really appreciate her knowledge and how she communicates. There are no miracle dog trainers. If the owner is not doing the work and consistent, then you are wasting your money.

There are plenty of training areas outdoors, space to run around, as well as a splash pad pool area for pups to swim and play. Training classes were both hybrid indoors and outdoors and Briana is truly amazing at what she does. She has the best approach when it comes to training your dog and I love how thorough and informative she is. Almost every session you attend, at some point you have to demonstrate in front of the class things that you've been working on with your dog. What I love about Briana is if you do something incorrectly she does not make you feel bad, she simply corrects, redirects and then compliments once it's done right. Luna loved going to "school" and learning new things as well as playing with other dogs after the training classes were over with for the day. These classes were so important and really helped us better understand her and furthermore I think she loved wanting to learn as well. We have seen such improvement in her demeanor and behavior and will continue to reinforce what we've learned at Dog Joy. We hope to sign Luna up for more classes in the future.

I have known Ally for around 5-6 years and she has taken care of our German Sheppard over the years and has given the same love, attention and affection to our dog that she shows her own pups. I would trust Ally with my dog's life, no hesitation. She is very in-tune with pet behavior and notices abnormalities quickly. She provides some of the best experiences for pups, taking them to beautiful open spaces to run around, on nice hikes or bodies of water, as well as good socialization. WARNING: Your dog may love Ally more than you after being in her care! Not only is Ally more than capable of taking care of all of your dog's needs, but she is one of the most pleasant and fun people to be around. I have been the lucky one knowing Ally all these years and would recommend her to anyone!

Since moving to a regular 9-5 non-business owner, I wanted pet care for our dogs during the day. I also wanted in-home pet sitting and overnight care for our dogs so as not to disrupt their routine of having us in the home. I love, love, love Susan and Dan (the owners) and their entire scheduling staff as well as their "Pet Gals and Pet Guys". When our baby was due, Susan and the entire Pet Gal team went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us plan for her arrival. There is nothing like feeling relieved that your home and pets will be well taken care of during one of the biggest life events. They really did go way above and beyond for us, adjusting to an ever changing situation as well as helping to make sure we had coverage in case something didn't go to plan. They even sent us a wonderful, thoughtful welcome home gift when we arrived home with our new human addition. I can't say enough good things about this company. Our favorite sitters are Jason and Claudia - my dogs LOVE them. They also leave the most wonderful updates and our home is always left better than when we left it. Pre-pandemic we counted on them to care for our pets during the day, and post-vaccine, they are able to care for them during travel time. The Pet Gal team members are all properly insured, trained, and you can trust them to show up, no matter what. You may not get the same sitter each time, but you will get the same care and attention each time. I am so thankful we're clients of The Pet Gal - they are truly a wonderful company.
