They took amazing care of him through the years and maintained his many medications when he started to slow down. He was placed with dogs who were at his speed and I loved getting to watch him on the webcams. We later adopted a new dog, who is very selective of who he likes...they were so patient with getting to know him and introducing him to camp. Now he loves it and pulls us through the door as soon as we arrive. We love that we can trust he's in safe hands and know he's having a blast. The owner, Julia is always quick to respond to my emails, which was super helpful when I was extremely busy trying to do literally five things at the same time. While our kitties were there, she sent us reports in text with photos of our kitties. It was really nice to know/see that our kitties were being taken care of. We looked at the same reports again and again since we missed our kitties so much. :) Julia seems to be very knowledgeable about cat behaviors and gave us good advice when we picked them up. Since everything went so smoothly, we actually came back again for cat daycare three days after the boarding. When we picked them up, it was before their pick-up/drop-off hours, but Julia was so nice and flexible; she let us pick them up early. Their website was easy to use. You can enter your pet's information into the system in advance uploading vaccination records and make reservations for day care/boarding. I would definitely recommend Second Home Boarding!!

One of the main reasons why I love this place so much is being able book a reservation only a few days prior to that date and therefore not having to worry and plan months in advance to get a spot for boarding like at some other places.

My dog had some hesitation at first but is always happy to arrive there now. The place looks clean and the staff is very professional. The only thing I don't like is that they don't allow the dogs to play after they get a bath. I get it but I also figure she will be cleanER...but that's me and I know it probably creates problems with other people. Overall a super nice staff that seem to genuinely love the pups they work with! Not cheap - but as with most things, you get what you pay for.

Of the multiple pet sitters we contacted, Erica from Fur Your Pets was the most prompt to respond and most personable, and was the start of repeated great pet sitting service. Over the last year and a half, we went from requesting in-home visits to take care of 3 cats, to in-home full day care (pet-sitting and house-sitting combined) for 3 cats and 2 dogs - one being a super rambunctious rottweiler. We did a "trial" weekend stay in preparation for a longer trip, and Erica did a fantastic job of taking care of everyone, even the rottweiler, which we were a bit worried about. Our pets love Erica and being able to stay in a familiar environment while we are traveling really shows. Our dogs get excited when she comes over, and when her visit ends, we come back to relaxed and perfectly normal (maybe a little disappointed to see us rather than Erica?) family. Our pets with prior pet sitters and kennels exhibited a bit of stress and anxiety after we came back, so this is a really great change for them. I can't say enough about how well Fur Your Pets takes care of our pets and home. To the amount of play time and cuddling time they get, to the prompt communications and numerous pet photos we receive, and the patience Erica displays when things go as unintended with our home, we are able to leave our pets in trusted hands, and are always confident that selecting Fur Your Pets for pet sitting was the best choice we made to ensure the well-being of our pets.
