Years ago I would come here. I stopped coming because I was not happy with the food. Today I came and was very happy.with my food. I got the lunch size with extra sauce and extra spicy. Very hot and delicious. I will be back.

Great and quick service. But the fried chicken wings are sometimes stale and may give you a stomach ache depending on the day smh.

The broth was impossibly milky and deeply flavorful -- the kind that stops you mid-bite. The ambiance and service were a complete and welcome surprise. We were visiting Charleston from St. Pete, and having traveled to many countries around the world, I rarely feel compelled to write reviews. But this place moved me. They could easily hold their own as a full-service, five-star ramen restaurant on every level -- price, value, quantity, and the overall experience. The whole nine yards. Highly recommend.

Strangely, mine was brought to me packaged for takeout; I don't know why their in-house ordering would default to that but maybe I hit a wrong button? Maybe some room for process improvement there, but they didn't give me any trouble about transitioning to a dine-in bowl. Their vegetable ramen is promised with a citrus note and there were discernible little bits of yuzu in it. The tofu it comes with is marinated in something sweeter, which wasn't my favorite flavor combination but is typical to the cuisine. I found the flavor improved with tableside spices; they have both a black pepper mix and a house chili powder. The portion size was not huge, and even adding extra inari on the side just satisfied my cravings, and this was after I'd had breakfast. There were some Japanese-speaking people dining there who seemed to be slurping approvingly. I could imagine having had a better experience, but the quality of broth and noodles was worth coming for me.

The Fresh Spring Rolls were divine and packed full of fresh ingredients... The rice paper was nice and flexible, not dried out like other places sometimes make them. The Shrimp Noodle Soup was HUGE, even when split! And VERY good! The Pad See Ew with Fish sauce versus Oyster sauce made it GF. Their noodles are the widest I've seen and BOY were they delish!!! The fried rice was prepared hot and fresh...combo was a nice touch and quite yummy! They added a cute little shop up front for neat Asian food and gift items to go. Love the family owned feel. Located at the south end of the Aldi-anchored shopping center on Johnnie Dodds Blvd, there's always plenty of free parking. The menu is large with lots of options for sharing. There's a full bar, but hub always goes for the Sapporo. We started with yummy Spring rolls wrapped in clear rice paper stuffed with sprouts, lettuce, rice noodles, shrimp and pork. We both enjoyed the creamy peanut dipping sauce. Our stir fry dishes ... his, with beef and mine, with pork, were fabulous. The huge portions, loaded with lots of protein, tender celery, bell peppers, snow peas, basil leaves, mushrooms and scallions were gently kissed with fish and oyster sauces and arrived at our table, quickly. The meal came with a more than ample side of brown rice. Preparation can be from no added spice to five star Thai spice. I'm at a two ... hub, a four. At this visit, eggplant was a special so of course, I did not hesitate to add my favorite vegetable to the dish. Prices are fair. Service is always spot on with Kim, often stopping by our table to top off our water. If it's been a while, go back ... if you haven't been, go!
