Can only speak to the pumpkin chocolate chip loaf, which was fresh! It just was too sweet for me, very spice forward, and too dense. I generally like my breads a bit fluffier and less sweet.

Picked up some sandwiches for lunch after spending a couple of hours next door at the Keiki Republic Kahala. I've been to the Kailua location several times and their bread is freshly made, as well as the bakery goods. They offer free slices of their Cinnamon Chip bread to kids, while available, which is great for them to munch on while waiting for the sandwiches to be made. The sandwiches are all made to order, so they do take a while, but they're all delicious. I had wanted to get the Turkey Pesto sandwich but they were out, so opted for the Classic sandwich with chicken and Swiss. We also ordered the grilled cheese for baby, and another Classic with roast beef, and a Cubano. They were all excellent. It's a nice place to grab lunch, but be prepared to wait a bit unless you order ahead.

I purchased a surprise bag and got a pumpkin chocolate chip bread. A blue berry scone and a Ube muffin with coconut, please try it. If you like Ube and coconut. I didn't get to try the bread which I was hoping to get in my surprise bag. I usually get my bread at Whole Foods or the bread shop. Unfortunately the surprise bag is something that is about to get old so they sell them at a discount. I probably won't do this again since it is like day old pastries and not bread. I know it can be anything but I was disappointed because I didn't get to try their bread. I would say it was average only because I wouldn't purchase what I got that day.

After we did our shopping at Costco going on way home I said let's go get great harvest bread sandwich I haven't been here in awhile so we ordered the ham and provolone cheese sandwich on sour dough. It was good lots of meat cheese and veggies even cut in half too. I also went overboard buying scone, monkey bread, cinnamon roll will try um tonight. Will be back again. Haven't been here in awhile so when giving my phone number i was still in their system.

My wife mentioned Great Harvest Bread after leaving Costco Hawaii Kai. I was thinking about sandwiches. So her suggestion was right on. Today we ordered number of items. The ham sandwich was my choice. You have a choice of breads. I picked sourdough. For the cheese choice I picked provolone. Lettuce and tomato included. It was well worth price. Friendly service and a clean uncluttered display area. Enjoy

I don't eat as much bread as I used to but was in the area so walked in to see what they had. Bought a loaf of pumpkin chocolate chip bread and a round of cinnamon chip bread. The cinnamon chip bread was okay but too big and ended up giving away part of it. But I loved the pumpkin chocolate chip bread so much I've gone back several times. It's really delicious! They have a schedule of when they make certain breads but I've been lucky enough to hit it when they have this bread in stock. I've been to Great Harvest bakeries on the mainland, especially in Minneapolis and they carry different breads. I liked a sunflower seed bread and some giant chocolate chip cookies, but I've not seen them here at this bakery. But as long as they keep baking the pumpkin chocolate bread, I'm good.

Great Harvest has been in this location for so very many years. I think of it as the place you go to after fasting and taking a blood test to save you from a drop in blood sugar. My favorite item is the pumpkin chocolate chip muffin. No matter the season they will always have pumpkin. Great Harvest does specials for holidays such as an April Fools treat. I picked up a colorful blue muffin that tasted warm, fluffy, banana chocolate flavored. Delicious! Love the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for an energy pick me up. Warm and fresh out of the oven. Scones with a dab of jam changes flavors frequently. There's always something different to sample. The staff are very nice and more traditional in service. Please take your time and don't rush the process.

And you're going to need that for your day jaunting across Waikiki in your new seal-print bathing suit. So ditch that Moko Loko and grab yourself a beautiful sandwich from Sprout, you'll feel a lot better about your trip to Hawaii. I love that Sprout has vegetable-forward options even in their meat-based sandwiches. The pesto chicken salad was loaded with beautiful green goodies which made this treat as aesthetically pleasing as it was delectable. They're also slapping down some of the best local Hawaiian ingredients into these here sanguines. The pesto itself was mac-nut based, which was intriguing. I'll be honest, I couldn't taste the difference between that and a pine nut pesto, but it was friggin delish pesto either way. The only downside I can think of is that the bread here lands somewhere between "ok" and "good". I've never had a bread quite like it, but it reminds me of a mix between an artisanal white bread, and a painini bread that you would find in Italy. It got the job done, but I feel like it could be upgraded. Sprout is worth a visit before or after your beach trip. The surrounding neighborhood is also a lively area with tons of fun restaurants and shopping.

Then I responded I want everything it supposed to come with. I thought I heard him say a second thing but wasn't sure and I was looking closer to the menu. I didn't realize you can add items to the sandwich for free. The worker then hands me the sandwich wrapped ready to go. I then said oh sorry can you add peppers, cucumbers and Italian vinaigrette. He did not look happy. I apologized saying sorry it was my first time. He said it was cool. Well proceed to pay. And he said have a nice day and I said thanks and left. Sandwich tasted amazing! Big portion! The wheat bread was so soft and light. Refreshing from all the vegetables. And moist from the vinaigrette. Although peppers were missing. Total for just the and sandwich was $13.40. So I actually waited a while (one of the cars had four orders) since everything is cooked to order. Parking is okay, while it seems crowded at times people visiting the market are in and out quickly so there were times when there were many space and other times just one or two. The food was very good. We ordered the Teri beef steak (rib eye). There was enough meat for two meals in my plate. The greens are nice (not romaine or ice berg). I believe they put a mustard based dressing at the bottom and then the greens so at first glance it looks like they forgot the dressing. But they put a lot of it. The meat reminded me of my mother's barbecue meat that she made when I was little. Nostalgic. I also like the desserts in the market.
