Who's driving the bus? This was our 2nd visit in about a year. 1st time was pretty good so we came back for the French Toast brunch. It was cold, as was the bacon, and though I asked for no eggs, I was charged full price. My wife had a Portobello sandwich and liked it. When our food arrived, the girl said oh, I forgot your butter and syrup. We said, "OK, can you bring some silverware and napkins and something we can clean the table with?". We had already been searching for napkins only to find none because many of the tables weren't clean. The girl responded "I have to go continue making sandwiches." I assumed this meant I wasn't getting butter, syrup, napkins, or silverware. I approached the counter and grabbed some plastic utensils and nicely asked for the other items. Another girl went to restock the empty napkin holder and asked me how many I wanted. Seemed odd not to just hand me several. Maybe they're rationing them. The coffee dispenser ran out during my pour. Oh well, at least I got half a cup with my cold breakfast on a dirty table. The place wasn't slammed, although they do serve the coffee shop next door also. There was only 1 person ahead of us, and one behind. I'd say there were about 6-7 people working there, the majority were confused incompetent teenage girls. There didn't really seem to be anyone in charge. This place needs adult supervision. The owner/manager needs to up their game. Our breakfast was $30, and we tipped 20% for self service. Having family in the food service business, I understand the difficulty of staffing and operating during a pandemic. Given that, and our 1st experience being a good one, I can't give more than 2 stars. I might try it again, but if my experience isn't better, I'll likely move along and find something that is. read more

We had the Baja chipotle turkey and the Aimee's Southwest Melt sandwiches. Both we're excellent. We also bought some Honey Whole Wheat and Three Cheese Sourdough bread and Green Chile cheese rolls. All of the breads were wonderful. A lot of other menu items and breads I'd like to try. Limited seating inside, a few 2 person tables outside. I've loved Great Harvest Bread since I was a kid getting free breadsticks. As an adult, I love grabbing a loaf of the Cinnamon Swirl Bread or the Everything Bread to have slices for breakfast. Breakfast sandwiches with on Green Chile English Muffins are where it's at too. This location has friendly staff who make tasty breakfast sandwiches or sandwiches for lunch. I like going to get some work done there, but it's primarily a place that families come to have breakfast or lunch and chat. They've got a lot of room in the dining room & I've been there when tables are full. I wonder if they've ever thought to add more tables. Also, the wifi is free, but it's also wide open. I tend to prefer at least a password that everyone has to ask for, but that said, I've worked on a table outside when they were closed. :) Accessibility: There's one step from the parking lot to the side walk, but I believe the grocery store next door has a curbcut to that same sidewalk. Once you're on the side walk, no stairs to the front door, no stairs between the door & the bathrooms, and large, individual bathrooms. read more

My wife and I stop by somewhat regularly to get a sandwich or a loaf of bread and we love their products. The staff is usually friendly and welcoming. Well, not today. We walked in at around 4:40 (location closes at 5) and no one greeted us, and after grabbing a couple of loaves to purchase, none of the 4 staff members seemed interested in tending to the register. We stood there for a couple of minutes, made eye contact with two employees (young lady and a college age looking guy) and still nothing. He just kept sipping on his coke. We decided to walk out and save ourselves $16. Not good business practice when your staff has mentally clocked out with 20mins to go. read more

Came here at the end of the day 2/2021 and was very disappointed to see 3 employees working behind the counter wearing zero masks. Not incorrectly under the nose or as a chin strap, but nowhere to be found on their face. There is still a mask mandate so it's very disturbing to think they're preparing food and breathing on my food with who knows what Covid germs. Not sure I feel comfortable returning to this business given their noncompliance with appropriate Covid guidelines. read more

I have always loved their bread, so when my son had his league swim meet, I thought I'd try lunch. I ordered our sandwiches and picked them up when they called my name, I thought. I did not realize until I got home that I had the wrong order. I called the store and they said I could come back, but it was 20 minutes away and I didn't have time. The young lady in the phone asked another young lady working there and she essentially said it was my fault for taking someone else's order! I did not receive a refund and ended up throwing away the food! I emailed the store and got no response. I'm very disappointed in the poor customer service. I was visiting Novo Coffee just next door the other day (have I mentioned that their Espresso roast is a killer bean?) when I saw a sign in the window of Great Harvest. The sign stated that they "over baked" their Cinnamon Chip Bread and they were selling it at half price. I wasn't sure if that meant they cooked it too long or made too many. So, I sauntered in and popped the question. Come to find out they made too many so I snapped up a loaf for $3 after trying a HUGE chunk of it offered by the purveyor of this great establishment. Everyone was very friendly and the bread is super! The bread is slightly sweet with chunks of cinnamon chips flecked throughout the dough. My favorite way to eat it is toasted with peanut butter. If you just toast it and spread with butter it will take you back to your youth when you used to eat cinnamon sugar toast. I highly recommend that you try this bread! read more

Tried Arvada for first and last time - wow what a difference - while standing in line lady tell customers she is slicing bread and she wants all the bread now because she doesn't want slice multiple times because she has to to keep washing her hands - ok strike #1 - I asked if we could get sandwiches - gruffly told No it was after 3pm, time on clock 3:10 - seriously !!? - strike #2. (No issues getting sandwiches anytime in Boulder.) Asked if they had Oregon Herb Bread - told not at this location - been my favorite for 25 years - strike #3. We buy a lot of bread here, you can read every ingredient on the wrapper and know what it is. It's also delicious. Another great point is they are next to my favorite coffee shop and they make amazing breakfast sandwiches. Any bread or biscuit they will put egg, breakfast meat red onion and tomato on, and you can eat it there or next door in the coffee shop, there is a door that connects the two shops from inside. I'm glad this business is here. The staff are always super friendly too. Highly recommend. read more

While there breads are great and I love getting the Extreme Cinnachip and the regular Cinnachip for French toast, they are a bread store that will not cut the loaf for you....even if you ask. Never heard of a bread store that refuses to cut the bread for you, that's kind of what you do and there for, doesn't make sense. How has it taken me so long to come here on a regular basis?! I was drawn (and still currently addicted to) their Cinnamon Chip loaf - so yummy! And I also can get a local peanut butter (among other really great local products) there! Great rewards program; just tried their honey whole wheat (buy one loaf get a honey whole wheat free!) and it's amazing! My new go-to for kids sandwiches - and toast for me! My only complaint is after our family enjoyed almost half of their delicious Cherry Almond Swirl Loaf I noticed there was artificial flavor (almond) in it! Such a bummer! You'd think being situated between two awesome business that are health and natural ingredient conscious (Two Rivers Craft Coffee and Natural Grocers) they would be operating with similar standards. Love this place! Use to go to Great Harvest back home in NC and was so excited to find one after moving out here. Stopping in for a breakfast sandwich and picking up a loaf of bread has become a weekly ritual. Staff is always friendly and bread is always fresh. I love that this Great Harvest is situated right next to Vitamin Cottage and Novo Coffee shop. I like to stop into Great Harvest before embarking on a long grocery shopping excursion. Each day they have a different variety of specialty breads to sample. If you happen to get lucky and come in on the day that they're making their cinnamon apple (can't remember the exact name) bread, then you'll be in heaven. It's one of the best things you'll ever put in your mouth! The staff is always friendly and helpful and the bread is always very fresh. You'll find a rack with all of the daily breads and on the other side of the shop you can find buns, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and other goodies. Because a slice of Great Harvest bread is dense - and a meal in itself... I don't tend to buy their buns since it's just too much once I actually put something between the bun! I stick with their breads which are loaded with whole grains, nuts, and fruits (the specialty ones). Great Harvest is closed on Sunday, so make sure you plan accordingly! They also prefer that you use cash on small purchases... so bring a few bucks. read more

Excellent bread. Love the Kansas crunch. The unfortunate part is that it is expensive. Nothing wrong with that for sure, but $5+ for a loaf of bread is a lot. One other thing that makes me not so happy about it is that in some of their breads they use high fructose corn syrup. Why? I don't buy products with HFCS in them.
