I have driven by this place probably 200 times in my life and never realized it was a restaurant. When I discovered that it was, I had to try it as I have lived not far for a long time (and on the west side of town my entire life) and never knew it existed. It was great. Definitely has its own vibe. I love that they open at 10 and close when they sell out. Something about not being so rigid is refreshing to see. The woman working the counter was extremely nice (and may or may not have paid for my Cannoli for it being my first visit. Immediately you see that they have baked goods in the display. They also have other treats like pasta salad an soda. they also sell pasta sauce and fresh baked bread. I went with the Meatball sub with cheese peppers which was fantastic. It came with Lay's potato chips, and I had a can of coke with it. I also got a slice of the banana bread which didn't last long. This place was great. A hidden gem. Simple but delicious food. A local secret of simplicity and great food. You can't really beat a place like this, and I am glad I found it. Speaking of finding it, may I recommend some additional signage? I mean it when I say I have driven this section of Marshall hundred of times in my life and had not idea this place was even a restaurant. Parking is a little weird. Strictly went for a bakery item and must say it's an extremely small selection. They had a decent amount of cookies, one brownie and 1 cannoli I just got an oatmeal raisins cookie for 2.50. The cookie was quite dry and a little too fat for my liking. Best to try a sandwich. read more

Cute little mom and pop shop. With all that's going on in the world, gave me a nice homey feeling. There isn't any dining inside or outside, strictly cash and carry. It's so easy to call in and place your order, unlike some of the crazy online ordering set ups I've experienced using here lately. I had the Spicy Sausage calzone and believe me it was Spicy. I enjoy a kick but I'll be ordering the mild next time. Whew, I think my ears are still blowing smoke! Honestly, I had to pick the peppers off and it was still plenty spicy. The flavor was good and the calzone definitely hit the spot. Very humble and unassuming just the bread, sausage, peppers and a small serving is marinara. For a light bite after, I selected the Chocolate Chip cannoli. A pure delight with its light and flaky crust filled with tiny chips and whipped cream. The exact amount of sweet without being sugary. This is a drop in and take out place, definitely not for fine dining! But it's been around a long time and you'll notice has many good reviews. It's tucked away off of Marshall Street in Arvada very near the state emissions testing facility. It's not fancy at all but it does have a decent menu. We ordered a couple of sandwiches for lunch. Both came with chips and a pickle. Mine was the meatball sandwich. The other was a turkey sandwich. Both were decent enough. The meatball sandwich had plenty of meat although it was a bit bland and light on the sauce. Still it was enjoyable enough for me. The turkey sandwich seemed to be good too for the person eating it. Pricing was reasonable. All in all not bad at all! I'd say it's worth giving it a try if you're in the area. You can call ahead and place your order so it's ready when you get there! Italian sausage calzones are fantastic! Local Italian place which has been here for years, well before the transplant tidal wave. Big fan of this small business. They truly fit into a sandwich shop that you don't feel bad about spending your money at. I had the Italian and it tasted very good. It was the right portion when I ordered it with a soda and a cookie. Everything tasted fresh and made with quality bread. It isn't the best sandwich I've ever had but it's top 10. I will definitely be returning here to try some of the other hoogies that looked good. I had a very pleasant experience with the lady who worked at the register. It appeared that she took the order and then went into the back to make it. I thought this was pretty cool. The only unfortunate part about this place is there is no where to sit. An easy 4 stars for this local Italian bakery! This is a place that not even Yelp could help me find. A friend who lives in the area told me about it when I mentioned I like meatball sandwiches. Gargaro's has a very solid entry in the competition for best meatball sandwich. Homemade meatballs on homemade bread smothered with what I like to believe is homemade marinara and provolone. Soo good. Yeah, we came for the meatball sandwich, stayed to chat with a daughter of the family that owns/runs the bakery, and left with way more than we intended to. Like extra bread, some cookies, and other baked goods. Did we get some homemade sausage too? I think we did! They even have fresh pasta, although I can't vouch for it as I haven't tried it. We live in the area, like just up the block, from Gagraro's and have been wanting to stop for years. I am so glad we finally did it!!! This place is great and I'm pretty sure that this is going to be my go to bakery from now on. Like I said we stopped for bread and got it,but left with all kinds of goodies and all for under $10. Their cookies are big and tasty and only a $1 crazy good!
