I stopped at the edge of their property with my father because my uncle lives behind the store, and his chain link fence is the only way to get our RV that he gave us into his yard to power our slide out because he forgot to secure the water heater he installed, and the room it is in is only accessible when it is extended as it obstructs the door otherwise. My Uncle ended up taking longer than we expected since he was on his way from Montana, and an extremely bitter old man (a Darren, or male Karen) came out of the store with the mouth of a sailor, called the cops and trespassed us so he could have us arrested if we tried to put the trailer in the yard to get the RV safe for others while we travel. I understand the trespassing because we did stay overnight, but the most concerning thing was when we expressed to him that the water heater could fall and bust through the window since it was small enough, where it could potentially kill someone on the freeway for example, he explicitly said that he didn't care if anyone died, even though his problem was specifically with us and not some innocent driver going from A to B, and then actively worked to prevent us from securing the unit for some disgusting and obscene reason any mentally stable individual would find disturbing, because those types of views aren't acceptable *anywhere* in society let alone a place of business. Only an incredibly malicious and sick individual who does not value another human being's life does something like that, especially considering we weren't actually bothering anyone or damaging property, just trying to to make things safer for others driving near us. Fortunately when it came falling, the bunk it was on stopped it right at the window, and as you can see in the included picture how close it actually came to exiting the vehicle in transit because it was on it's side when we stopped, not upright. So that man's actions ultimately could have indirectly resulted in the loss of another's life, and he openly expressed that he didn't care. So before you spend any money here, decide on whether or not you want to support a business that employs a disgusting individual like that. I sure wouldn't. If I could give zero stars, I would, so I'll simply do it verbally right here: I didn't actually rate them 1 star, so just pretend that it's zero, and I'd advise anyone who views life as sacred to avoid shopping here at any cost, because it's hard to justify playing an active part in making the road more dangerous by preventing someone from accessing their only option to ensure the safety of others in transit. If that man truly cared about the safety of others, he'd have let us do what we needed to secure it and make sure it couldn't potentially cause others harm. Truly despicable behavior, and from someone at that age you'd expect more professionalism. read more

If you are in need of a salesperson with great experience and knowledge seek out Matt McKenna as he is the one who helped us through out entire process. He helped pick the floors, instantly knew that prices of the floors and compared the type of wood floors and even carpet we were looking at. Very customer oriented and even worked on his days off to get things moving through the ordering process and scheduling the work to be completed. After selecting wood floor for our master bedroom, we had a person come out and take measurements. Matt was able to quickly identify one of the measurements seems strange so he personally came out to our house (that same night) to retake the measurements himself to ensure for accuracy. This saved us a huge headache of having to replace the sub-flooring (due to lack of experience on the original person taking measurements). After the measurements were taken, the price was adjusted which saved around $600+ for simply that one room. Where some may get mad that the measurements were taken incorrectly the person out doing the measurements seemed fairly new to the job, though he was very nice, I also understand mistakes happen. The problem was identified and resolved prior to work even starting so that makes me happy. The installers came in two waves. One wave to install the wood floor to our master bedroom, then the following day to replace the carpet in our other two bedrooms. The workers were different on the two days, yet they all did outstanding work. The wood floor looks amazing. The carpet also is a huge improvement over the previous carpet. So again... If you are looking to get work done, seek out Matt McKenna. If he isn't there that day (current days off are Wed & Thurs at time of this review) simply pick up his card at the front desk. I was doing a major re-design in our church. I visited the Great Floors on Martin Way in Lacey, Wa. to find just the right carpet for our alter area. We had just purchased new padded chairs for our worship area and I needed something that would pull the wall color and the chair color together and compiment the whole area. I worked with Daniel Rothwell, who spent lots of time with me going over all the commercial grade carpet samples. We narrowed it down to one "perfect" carpet!!! Then Daniel came out to measure the area and give us a price. When he noticed that the alter area has different angles at the corners, he quickly informed me that the carpet we had chosen would not look good for that area. The carpet had a definite pattern which, when folded at the angles, would not work well at all. I so appreciate his quick and very honest opinion!! We managed to find another carpet that would work equally as well. I had them install the same carpet in two other rooms in the church as well as the alter area, and it met with rave reviews from the congregation!! Daniel had his installers do it all in one day and we could not be happier with the whole process. We couldn't be happier with our experience with the Lacey Great Floors and Tim. Our daughter would still be waiting for carpet if we hadn't worked with Tim. We definitely recommend working with him for all your flooring needs. When our daughter bought her house in Tacoma recently we gifted her with new carpet throughout their house. While trying to get the best deal on nice carpet and installation, we went to multiple stores in Tacoma including Great Floors. Everything seemed to be progressing with the carpet purchase until our daughter got a call from the Tacoma store saying that the carpet was out of stock and asking whether they still wanted to go ahead with ordering it. The biggest problem with that was that they couldn't even give them an estimated restock date on the carpet. After hearing that my husband went in to the Lacey store where we had previously had limited experience with Tim. We assumed that we would end up having to change carpets, but Tim was able to work magic and get the carpet they wanted installed within a week. The carpet we chose was from their Best Value wall. Although the overall cost was the lowest of anything we looked at, the carpet and install are both of the highest quality of any carpet we have ever had. Awesome experience purchasing laminate flooring at the Lacey store with Tim, my sales rep, & Vlad, my installer. Faster installation & fairly priced in comparison to competitors. BEAUTIFUL results! Tim was incredibly patient helping me pick just the right color despite me being wish-washy, changing my mind several times, even while he was placing orders on the phone that I changed. He truly aspired to make me 100% satisfied. One of my goals was to mask dog hairs which he memorably proved in the store would work by placing a dog hair from my shirt on to the sample flooring where it completely disappeared, LOL. Vlad & his upstanding crew are kind, respectful, & committed to high quality installation, not high speed with shoddy results. Beware though, I was surprised by the high amount of sawdust in the house generated by removal of old hardwood & cutting of the new laminate. A day or so later you will need to thoroughly dust & wipe surfaces. It's no big deal and totally worth it, but don't clean house beforehand. Tim is totally committed to customer satisfaction with complete attention so I recommend setting up an appointment BEFORE going to the store. Highly recommended. read more

We had a good experience with Great Floors. We asked Tim to point us to some bullet-proof laminate. We took home a sample that WE were convinced would look great in our home. NOT! Too dark and too much contrast with the wood trim. We went back, taking a sample of our wood moulding and worked with Tim. He lead us to the perfect floor, and it looks beautiful. Next, the installers.......Vlad and his crew tackled our whole house. They were very polite, professional and respectful but also joked around with us, and we loved having them in our home. The floor is great. The plumber, Zach, came in to reset the commodes. He brought 2 wax seals for each toilet. YES, it takes 2, using only one likely ends up with leaks. He was done with all 3 in a half hour. Because we opted for the furniture moving and the removal & replacement of the moulding & commodes in this whole-house job, all we had to do was pack up the light stuff. So, thanks Tim, Vlad & crew and Zach. We appreciated your knowledge and professionalism. The house is light and airy with this new floor. We recently completed a remodel of our home. The project took several months and many stages to complete. We had several different projects completed by Great Floors including luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout the house, newly tiled shower, kitchen and bathroom back splashes and a wall of ledger stone surrounding our new gas fireplace. My wife and I were very pleased with our experience at Great Floors. We generally prefer local small businesses to big box stores, and we did receive good attention and sales support from each of the three stores we worked with. But when we compared their final quotes on exactly the same products and installation, the price difference of over 15% from Great Floors was too big to ignore. Don the salesman was very attentive and knowledgeable, Mike the retired Navy diver who did the measurements was very professional, Mike the service dispatch guy was very flexible about timing, and I think it would be hard to top the installation team of John and Travis. John and Travis did everything that YouTube had told me to look out for: they doubled up the tack strips, added extra nails, were very careful about alignment of patterns and seams, were super careful about protecting doors and woodwork, and the work they did on our staircase is just wonderful. read more

I had an exceptional experience with Great Floors. I worked with Keith and Jeff to find new flooring for EVERY room in my home. Both men were very helpful and honest in communicating pricing, warranties, what I needed - and what I didn't need. Things could not have gone better. Thank you very much, Keith and Jeff. Installation was fast and very well done. 3 installers spent the better part of a day installing carpets and vinyls throughout my home. The attention to detail by my installer (Joe Sandas) was such a relief. He and his 2 adult sons were great. I'm very pleased with my product choices. The vinyl I went with looks like real distressed (wide plank) wood (Newport Sandalwood by Mannington - Gold Grade). The carpet is Shaw / Tuftex - On Point in Gilt color. The carpet pad I went with was the Victorious 10lb pad. These would all be considered a step up from what you would consider "mid-range". An excellent experience. read more

I have experienced excellent service twice now with Great Floors. Matt McKenna stands out as an exceptional sales rep. I was looking at a huge amount of laborous prep work for a large room just to install wood look sheet vinyl (sheet vinyl is pretty easy, it's the leveling prep work that is the monster). I was tackling this 400 sg ft job alone and I was dreading it. I went in to Great Foors to get samples of sheet vinyl. Matt greeted me at the door with a smile. Without feeling pressured at all Matt showed me several styles of sheet vinyl and then.....Matt showed me Flexible Vinyl Planks. Minimal prep work!! I am absolutely stunned by how super easy the install was. The quality and beauty of the product rivals any hard wood floor in my opinion. And I installed it all by myself!! We contacted Great Floors about getting some flooring for a small area in our home. We went into the store in June and the sales associate, Bob, indicated he would look into it and place an order for us. Approximately 6 weeks went by and we never heard from Bob on whether or not the order was placed so we called him. Turns out, Bob had never actually placed the order. We then placed the order and were told it would be in store in approximately 4 days and that we'd receive a phone call once it was ready to be picked up. We never received a call so we called the store again. Turns out our product had been sitting in the warehouse for over two weeks and all we got was a response that "he thought he had called". Terrible customer service. We would have not used them after waiting the first time but they were the only store that had the product we needed. read more

Hello everyone, Quite honestly, if there were 10 stars available, that is what you'd see above. I needed a very oddly sized and small piece of carpet for a quite unusual use. I tried Lowes and Home Depot and was told they could not help. Then I called Great Floors. The receptionist was polite and helpful and got me through to the assistant manager, who said he'd be happy to help me. When he was unable to be at the store, due to a family emergency, his manager Pat stepped in and made sure everything got done, just as I had requested, totally on time. The guys in the warehouse were really nice about helping me load up the rug AND even fished out a piece of heavy plastic from recycling so I could keep the rug dry through delivery on this sopping wet day. There's an older person here that's supposedly the owner, and has the most unfriendly demeanor I've ever seen in a professional environment, and I also heard him swearing his bum off while on the clock, which isn't a good look for the Great Floors brand. Shop elsewhere and save yourselves the inevitable headache involved in dealing that guy. The only thing he seems good at is driving customers off by being offensive, and costing his company profit they woulda otherwise gotten. The reviews on Google seem paid for under the table by him, because the Yelp rating doesn't match up, which is pretty suspect if you ask me. Don't believe me? I've made two orders for carpet with Great Floors and both experiences have been very exceptional. Tim B finalized the sales both times for me and always gave me a fair deal and was wonderful to work with. He took our budget and lifestyle into consideration when helping us select a carpet and made sure to point out the pros and cons of each one we were interested in. Delivery and installation always happened when they said it would and each project was completed in less than one full day. Now our bedrooms look so much better than they did before. I searched 5 different stores to find just he right vinyl plank flooring to go in my new home. I finally found the perfect flooring at Great Floors in Lacey. I was very disappointed when they would not be able to get the flooring for 2 months and on my timeline, that would not work. Bob Jr. was terrific! He came out to the house, measured, talked to me about product, and calmed my nerves as I waited the few days for the laminate flooring I'd picked out to arrive. He told me the flooring would be received on a Tuesday, and it was indeed received on a Tuesday. The flooring was installed the next day. It Looks Beautiful! I picked out TAS flooring laminate--really lovely! The two installers Vlad and Vasiliy were knowledgeable, nice, friendly, and did an awesome job! After shopping at several stores for carpets, I concluded that Great Floors offered the best selection. Travis, the sales person was helpful, provided an estimate quickly, and responded promptly to my follow up questions. Eugene, the estimator, was meticulous. He spent about an hour drawing sketches of each room and making suggestions to keep my costs low. The square footage he calculated was 25% less that the square footage calculated by a competitor. Consequently, the cost estimate was about 25% less. The three installers were conscientious and did a good job. I am very pleased with the result and am happy to recommend this store. I particularly want to mention Matt who worked with us with patience and honesty and listened to our needs without trying to steer us in any particular direction. I recently purchased a home with shockingly bright orange-ish/cranberry carpet that I chose to replace with water resistant laminate. After getting 2 other bids, I met with Tim at Great Floors who patiently guided me through various designs, prices and product content. The installers were exemplary! They were professional, courteous, efficient and my new floors are more beautiful and functional than expected.
