I really was excited to go into the place to actually see items I've researched online on BUILD.com…read more(which is a GREAT site !! ). I was very disappointed and mad that there wasn't any attention to my questions and inquiries about the certain products I've picked and they kept directing me to other products that were either, wrong finish, and wasn't offered in my finish, wrong type of product (I require ADA compatibility)..... and so on. I realize they can't carry EVERYTHING in stock , but at least HELP w/ products that are compatible w/ what I've chosen..... and fake it ..... show you care ( ? ). We are paying for your salary, and or commissions. If you like what's available on BUILD.com ...... I recommend doing your research on additional sites, then if you really need to feel it up close..... call local hardware store. It's been at least 5 years, I had them put counters on my upstairs and downstairs kitchen. The job…read morewas done and I had no issues that were obvious. The sink on the downstairs kitchen that they installed started to leak. We thought it was the pipe upon further inspection we saw it was the actual sink ( stainless steel), it seems while installing it they cracked it and instead of getting a new sink that I paid for, the workers patched it. It is so stuck that instead of being able to unhook and release it, we tried to dissolve glue with everything we could find, now unfortunately, we are going to have to break the stone to be able to change out the sink. So there will be an expense that I shouldn't have to bear. As I said it took awhile but the glue finally gave. I will never give them my business nor will I recommend them. Shoddy work.

We absolutely love our countertops! I didn't read reviews before we decided to go to L&D and I'm…read moreglad I didn't. They were recommended by the company that made our cabinets. I don't know what other people expected from L&D but from my experience they were knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating. Other stone suppliers wanted to put a seam at the center of my sink because it's a long run but L&D didn't do that. The one seam I have in my kitchen is minimal and not noticeable unless you look for it. Customers need to keep in mind that you can't always get what you want with natural stone. If it break they aren't going to want to pay for an additional slap. I recommend L&D. My advice is to take a breath and shop around. We have a beautiful updated kitchen and we literally saved thousands and got the same aesthetic we would have gotten from other more expensive companies.

I can't really express how much I regret the decision to refloor my house using Floor and Decor's…read moreservices. I had gotten a modestly higher quote from a smaller local company and I can't help but wonder how this whole project could have gone. A few things about my house- it is really old and that was going to complicate things no matter what. I suspect the previous owner DIY'ed a bunch of stuff, which also added some challenges. I have taken all of that into account, and this experience was still terrible. A few positives: I am a single homeowner so the financing options that a large company was able to provide really did help. There was no way I could afford this out pocket. The downstairs subfloors needed to be replaced as well, and now that's done. On to the rest. I used the contractor sent by Floor and Decor. This project took over a month to complete. My house is a bit more than 1200 square feet. Delays in manufacturing the stairs was cited as the main culprit, although I was originally quoted one week for that to be done. The flooring overall looks okay with some significant issues. There is a Murphy bed in one of the rooms. This is not a permanent fixture; it's basically Ikea furniture with the standard Ikea wall anchors. I was told that it could be moved, but at installation it was not. It is in a room downstairs, so not only was the flooring installed around it, the subfloor was as well. If that Murphy bed is ever needing to be removed, I will now be left having to deal with a significant hole in the floor several inches lower than the rest of the floor in the room. The stairs were really the worst part. Removing the carpet was super difficult (that whole previous owner DIY issue). It took most of the day to get it up, and removing it damaged the walls in some areas. When the stairs were installed (again, a month later) they were just put in with no finishes, chunks of plaster still missing. It looked absolutely horrible. That install happened while I was at work, so I came home to a total mess and saw the job had been marked as complete. I reached out to the contractor and did not receive a response. I then reached out to the store. The flooring designer had told me to email her with any issues. I sent the email to her attention and did not receive a response. After waiting a few days, I sent it again (it is a general department email) asking for anyone who could assist to respond. Still no answer. I finally looked up the store manager and emailed him directly. No response. All of this took place over the span of 2-3 weeks, I was conscientious of giving them time to respond, and was respectful in all of my communications, both to the store and the contractor. Nearly another month passed before the contractor texted me. I had to press, but he agreed to come plaster the damage. He did that while I was out of town, but my petsitter was able to let him in. She texted me afterwards to ask if anyone would be back, saying it still looked terrible. She was right. At this point I am just too frustrated to keep trying, so I'll have to finish it myself. The other challenge was all the little things they did not tell me they would not do. Caulking the baseboards, repainting, any finishes or touchups were left undone. When I asked along the way, I was told by the installer that they don't do that. It would have been great to know that up front. A fun extra issue: the trim the contractor chose is not wood, but plastic with a sticker on it. It's already damaged. TL;DR, work done was a huge challenge and looks unfinished. Product quality is subpar. The store offered zero support. I don't see myself using this company in the future, or recommending others to do so. I paid over $12k to have to finish the work myself.

This Tacoma location really impressed me with the service they provided. We were asked multiple times while shopping if we needed any assistance and that was nice. We had plenty of space to work on our designs and make a plan as well. We worked with Ryan Mckechnie at the Pro Desk and he went above and beyond for us. He even stayed past the pro desk time to make sure we had the tile we wanted to leave with that day (and have the rest delivered). The guys for loading were gone so Ryan made sure he stayed and loaded it up for us. We were so impressed with his kindness and willingness to serve. This location has earned our business! We also worked with Sona in getting everything in our order ready for Ryan. She was fantastic and very helpful! Thank you so much Ryan! We appreciate you!! PS. There is a wireless charger for phones at the pro desk. That's a fun perk! Oh! And the bathrooms are actually clean!

I will be recommending I & E tile Services to all my friends! I wanted to find a great tiler…read morebecause I had a lot of tile work that needed to be done on our remodel and some of the tile had uneven edges and the kitchen tile had different shapes, so I needed someone who knew how to tile more than just basic tile. I asked an employee of the tile store if she knew of a great tile person and she immediately recommended Ivan. In fact, she told me that he was about to start a project on her house, so she really meant it. I called Ivan and he responded quickly. I immediately sensed that he knew what he was talking about and took great pride in his work which was important to me. Ivan and Sergei, who is also absolutely experienced and incredible, could not have done a better job! The tile was layed out perfectly, the grout lines are perfect and they cut the tiles so the pattern looks amazing throughout. Check out the photo I attached of the corner wall in my kitchen. The large fireplace really needed people with extensive expertise because it turned out that unbeknownst to me, those tiles also were not exactly even. Before this project, I hadn't realized that a lot of tiles aren't the same exact size even if you think they are, so you need someone who really knows how to handle that. Ivan and Sergei spent a lot of time with a laser light pointer to make sure everything lined up perfectly and the end result is fantastic! The fireplace with the little tiles was also challenging because the little tiles kept coming off the mesh backing they came on. Ivan figured out how to make them stick on their backing prior to applying them and the end result is perfect. They also did our bathroom for us including a glass shower nook and that too, came out perfect. In addition to all that, everyone at I & E is extremely professional, timely, great at communicating and friendly. They take great pride in their work and it shows. I'm very grateful for the amazing job they did. You won't be sorry if you hire them!
