The sink on the downstairs kitchen that they installed started to leak. We thought it was the pipe upon further inspection we saw it was the actual sink ( stainless steel), it seems while installing it they cracked it and instead of getting a new sink that I paid for, the workers patched it. It is so stuck that instead of being able to unhook and release it, we tried to dissolve glue with everything we could find, now unfortunately, we are going to have to break the stone to be able to change out the sink. So there will be an expense that I shouldn't have to bear. As I said it took awhile but the glue finally gave. I will never give them my business nor will I recommend them. Shoddy work.

This Tacoma location really impressed me with the service they provided. We were asked multiple times while shopping if we needed any assistance and that was nice. We had plenty of space to work on our designs and make a plan as well. We worked with Ryan Mckechnie at the Pro Desk and he went above and beyond for us. He even stayed past the pro desk time to make sure we had the tile we wanted to leave with that day (and have the rest delivered). The guys for loading were gone so Ryan made sure he stayed and loaded it up for us. We were so impressed with his kindness and willingness to serve. This location has earned our business! We also worked with Sona in getting everything in our order ready for Ryan. She was fantastic and very helpful! Thank you so much Ryan! We appreciate you!! PS. I can't really express how much I regret the decision to refloor my house using Floor and Decor's…read moreservices. I had gotten a modestly higher quote from a smaller local company and I can't help but wonder how this whole project could have gone. A few things about my house- it is really old and that was going to complicate things no matter what. I suspect the previous owner DIY'ed a bunch of stuff, which also added some challenges. I have taken all of that into account, and this experience was still terrible. A few positives: I am a single homeowner so the financing options that a large company was able to provide really did help. There was no way I could afford this out pocket. The downstairs subfloors needed to be replaced as well, and now that's done. On to the rest. I used the contractor sent by Floor and Decor. This project took over a month to complete. My house is a bit more than 1200 square feet. Delays in manufacturing the stairs was cited as the main culprit, although I was originally quoted one week for that to be done. The flooring overall looks okay with some significant issues. There is a Murphy bed in one of the rooms. This is not a permanent fixture; it's basically Ikea furniture with the standard Ikea wall anchors. I was told that it could be moved, but at installation it was not. It is in a room downstairs, so not only was the flooring installed around it, the subfloor was as well. If that Murphy bed is ever needing to be removed, I will now be left having to deal with a significant hole in the floor several inches lower than the rest of the floor in the room. The stairs were really the worst part. Removing the carpet was super difficult (that whole previous owner DIY issue). It took most of the day to get it up, and removing it damaged the walls in some areas. When the stairs were installed (again, a month later) they were just put in with no finishes, chunks of plaster still missing. It looked absolutely horrible. That install happened while I was at work, so I came home to a total mess and saw the job had been marked as complete. I reached out to the contractor and did not receive a response. I then reached out to the store. The flooring designer had told me to email her with any issues. I sent the email to her attention and did not receive a response. After waiting a few days, I sent it again (it is a general department email) asking for anyone who could assist to respond. Still no answer. I finally looked up the store manager and emailed him directly. No response. All of this took place over the span of 2-3 weeks, I was conscientious of giving them time to respond, and was respectful in all of my communications, both to the store and the contractor. Nearly another month passed before the contractor texted me. I had to press, but he agreed to come plaster the damage. He did that while I was out of town, but my petsitter was able to let him in. She texted me afterwards to ask if anyone would be back, saying it still looked terrible. She was right. At this point I am just too frustrated to keep trying, so I'll have to finish it myself. The other challenge was all the little things they did not tell me they would not do. Caulking the baseboards, repainting, any finishes or touchups were left undone. When I asked along the way, I was told by the installer that they don't do that. It would have been great to know that up front. A fun extra issue: the trim the contractor chose is not wood, but plastic with a sticker on it. It's already damaged. TL;DR, work done was a huge challenge and looks unfinished. Product quality is subpar. The store offered zero support. I don't see myself using this company in the future, or recommending others to do so. I paid over $12k to have to finish the work myself.

Steve and I were quite impressed with the various knife selections for all of your kitchen needs. Very cool! We definitely have a place to keep in mind when we need to upgrade our knives for cooking. In additional to that there are seasonal spices and such here. There is quite a selection of local hot sauces from a brand I haven't seen before... so we will keep that in our minds for future reference also when our hot sauce stash needs to be replenished.

They have a lot of neat gadgets and kitchenware in various price points and a reasonably priced sharpening and repair service. The community is lucky to have them and I will definitely be back. They also were willing to sell me a knife that is part of their restaurant collection- quality blade from a respected manufacturer with a cheap unbranded handle because for a paring knife, who cares what the handle looks like? I will be back to get my knives sharpened and whenever I need new kitchen stuff or a housewarming present!

They went above and beyond helping understand how to fix my drain, finding online videos that showed how to remove the drain (a daunting task until you see it done), and even hooking me up with the right tool to do it and a replacement part that they had on hand. Their selection of kitchen faucets was impressive, and they had the one I wanted on hand at their warehouse down the street. I was able to head home same-day with the tools and fixtures to tackle two projects with confidence.

I wanted to find a great tiler…read morebecause I had a lot of tile work that needed to be done on our remodel and some of the tile had uneven edges and the kitchen tile had different shapes, so I needed someone who knew how to tile more than just basic tile. I asked an employee of the tile store if she knew of a great tile person and she immediately recommended Ivan. In fact, she told me that he was about to start a project on her house, so she really meant it. I called Ivan and he responded quickly. I immediately sensed that he knew what he was talking about and took great pride in his work which was important to me. Ivan and Sergei, who is also absolutely experienced and incredible, could not have done a better job! The tile was layed out perfectly, the grout lines are perfect and they cut the tiles so the pattern looks amazing throughout. Check out the photo I attached of the corner wall in my kitchen. The large fireplace really needed people with extensive expertise because it turned out that unbeknownst to me, those tiles also were not exactly even. Before this project, I hadn't realized that a lot of tiles aren't the same exact size even if you think they are, so you need someone who really knows how to handle that. Ivan and Sergei spent a lot of time with a laser light pointer to make sure everything lined up perfectly and the end result is fantastic! The fireplace with the little tiles was also challenging because the little tiles kept coming off the mesh backing they came on. Ivan figured out how to make them stick on their backing prior to applying them and the end result is perfect. They also did our bathroom for us including a glass shower nook and that too, came out perfect. In addition to all that, everyone at I & E is extremely professional, timely, great at communicating and friendly. They take great pride in their work and it shows. I'm very grateful for the amazing job they did. You won't be sorry if you hire them!

Hired I&E as a subcontractor to tile a shower. After 1 year the shower pan leaked through the…read morefloor and into the basement through the light fixture. I called Ivan, and he said he only has a 1 year warranty. We removed the shower pan tile and found he did not do proper water proofing and it leaked through the corner of the shower. Now I cannot ahold of him. How can you trust this company when there is no store to find them at and they don't return your calls. I'm now stuck with a demolished, leaking shower. Stay away from this company!
