Absolutely amazing customer service and unbeatable selection and pricing! I am a house flipper so I've made the rounds at supply stores and Floor and Decor is always our go-to for LVP and Tile. They cannot be beat! This Tacoma location really impressed me with the service they provided. We were asked multiple times while shopping if we needed any assistance and that was nice. We had plenty of space to work on our designs and make a plan as well. We worked with Ryan Mckechnie at the Pro Desk and he went above and beyond for us. He even stayed past the pro desk time to make sure we had the tile we wanted to leave with that day (and have the rest delivered). The guys for loading were gone so Ryan made sure he stayed and loaded it up for us. We were so impressed with his kindness and willingness to serve. This location has earned our business! We also worked with Sona in getting everything in our order ready for Ryan. She was fantastic and very helpful! Thank you so much Ryan! We appreciate you!! PS. I can't really express how much I regret the decision to refloor my house using Floor and Decor's services. I had gotten a modestly higher quote from a smaller local company and I can't help but wonder how this whole project could have gone. A few things about my house- it is really old and that was going to complicate things no matter what. I suspect the previous owner DIY'ed a bunch of stuff, which also added some challenges. I have taken all of that into account, and this experience was still terrible. A few positives: I am a single homeowner so the financing options that a large company was able to provide really did help. There was no way I could afford this out pocket. The downstairs subfloors needed to be replaced as well, and now that's done. On to the rest. I used the contractor sent by Floor and Decor. This project took over a month to complete. My house is a bit more than 1200 square feet. Delays in manufacturing the stairs was cited as the main culprit, although I was originally quoted one week for that to be done. The flooring overall looks okay with some significant issues. There is a Murphy bed in one of the rooms. This is not a permanent fixture; it's basically Ikea furniture with the standard Ikea wall anchors. I was told that it could be moved, but at installation it was not. It is in a room downstairs, so not only was the flooring installed around it, the subfloor was as well. If that Murphy bed is ever needing to be removed, I will now be left having to deal with a significant hole in the floor several inches lower than the rest of the floor in the room. The stairs were really the worst part. Removing the carpet was super difficult (that whole previous owner DIY issue). It took most of the day to get it up, and removing it damaged the walls in some areas. When the stairs were installed (again, a month later) they were just put in with no finishes, chunks of plaster still missing. It looked absolutely horrible. That install happened while I was at work, so I came home to a total mess and saw the job had been marked as complete. I reached out to the contractor and did not receive a response. I then reached out to the store. The flooring designer had told me to email her with any issues. I sent the email to her attention and did not receive a response. After waiting a few days, I sent it again (it is a general department email) asking for anyone who could assist to respond. Still no answer. I finally looked up the store manager and emailed him directly. No response. All of this took place over the span of 2-3 weeks, I was conscientious of giving them time to respond, and was respectful in all of my communications, both to the store and the contractor. Nearly another month passed before the contractor texted me. I had to press, but he agreed to come plaster the damage. He did that while I was out of town, but my petsitter was able to let him in. She texted me afterwards to ask if anyone would be back, saying it still looked terrible. She was right. At this point I am just too frustrated to keep trying, so I'll have to finish it myself. The other challenge was all the little things they did not tell me they would not do. Caulking the baseboards, repainting, any finishes or touchups were left undone. When I asked along the way, I was told by the installer that they don't do that. It would have been great to know that up front. A fun extra issue: the trim the contractor chose is not wood, but plastic with a sticker on it. It's already damaged. TL;DR, work done was a huge challenge and looks unfinished. Product quality is subpar. The store offered zero support. I don't see myself using this company in the future, or recommending others to do so. The store is quite large and very well maintained. It's clean, brightly lit, and laid out well. There's a lot to look at and I thought they offered a nice variety of items. They accept returns which I thought was super in case we don't use all the items. Jay was super helpful. He was knowledgeable and was great at putting pieces and colors together to create a full look. read more

Rough start with being pushed out of two isles by impatient workers collecting items with a forklift. It wasn't busy and there was no need to delay me and my family when we were shopping for shower tile. We were on a time crunch and budgeted for enough time however, due to the delays from the forklift we had to leave. I brought up the issue to the manager and all they said was that they could radio the guys and reopen the issues. We had a 5 & 6yr old with us and the clock expired. They ended up providing a discount when we needed to return a week later to look again and purchase everything we needed. read more

I don't get what the negative reviews are all about. I needed about 800 ft2 of LVP for a downstairs remodel. Originally I was going to get a LifeProof product from Home Depot, but at checkout I saw the wear layer was only 6mil on the color I liked, so I thought I'd better check out F&D. They had a similar looking product with a 22mil wear layer and was even less expensive! I bought 36 boxes (including the "just in case" extra 10%) and floor pad. I ended up with 3 extra boxes, which I was able to return no problem. My flooring was a standard stock item, so maybe that's why I had such an easy time with the return vs others. The selection is just phenomenal, the store is clean, and ordering & pickup was a breeze. All said, I'll always look here first for flooring and tile rather than Home Depot or Lowes. read more

I wanted a precut Island counter. The only size in stock was 112 x 26. I found out that MSI has several sizes, including the 98 x 36 size and their vendor, Floor & Decor could order jet. I called and spoke to a woman who said she was a manager. She said they won't order, they don't do special orders, even though they clearly have the ability to do so. She could not give me a reason why and when I asked for their corporate number, she told me I could look it up. Wow. Really poor customer service. read more

Prices were very competitive with all other retailers. The only lower prices were when using a Lowes credit card for the 5% off. Free design services were very handy. The designer even helped load your cart with samples or the final products and pre load the sales slip for a super quick check out. Return process was so simple once you are in their system. We used them for countertops as well. The countertop schedulers were very helpful and communicated well. The installers were professional and all computer measured and drawn. From template to install was 2 weeks. Install of two bathroom vanities and four sinks took one hour. Cost was 30% less than our other two quotes. read more

I would not recommend shopping here if you need any kind of assistance or are considering having the tile delivered. The selection was solid, the prices reasonable. Customer service was terrible. No one would answer the phone. Items that show in stock on line are not necessarily in stock. Went to the store, finally found the tile I wanted based on the display. Got it all rung up....looked behind the display and the tile wasn't even close. The associate who was attempting to help me said it was the wrong display. They hadn't had a chance to change it when they ran out. Sigh...... The associate I was working with couldn't answer any of my questions. She walked around like a zombie barely able to keep up with me. She googled questions that I asked her. She had no idea what she was doing or talking about. She asked another associate for help and he knew less than she did. Once I finally got my order placed trying to have it delivered was a nightmare. Again, no one answered the phone (this time I was calling the Everette location). They couldn't find my product, took them 4 days to find it in the store. Once they found it I kept getting different answers on when it was being shipped. One said it was shipped, another said it wasn't. I called the freight company, they knew nothing about it. It's been two weeks since I paid for the tile and shipping and I have no idea where it is or when it will be delivered. So much for having the bathroom done in time for Christmas. Bottom line - if you know tile and can take it home with you this place has a nice selection and fair pricing. If you have any questions at all...this isn't the place for you. read more

We had two serious product issues, contacted them, spoke to managers, gave them all of the info and sent emails, as they requested, and got zero response to our calls and emails. I purchased 800 sqft of hardwood flooring from this location. Before making this huge investment I purchased 3 samples and took them home to make sure it was the perfect color. It has a lot of variation but the overall tone was perfect. I used those samples to choose my paint colors and order my cabinetry....another huge investment. When the flooring arrived it was a completely different tone. So I went back into the store to see what went wrong. Even the store clerk said it was a completely different tone. But the manager could care less and I was told the sample and there entire display wall of it must be an older version and there's nothing they can do. This is beyond frustrating and completely wrong. Basically it is a bait and switch for a $10,000 investment. They need to make it right. read more

The only reason I would have to go back to Floor & No More is to use the bathroom. This worthless place is a glorified tile remnant clearinghouse. Before you get your heart set on anything, make sure they have enough. If you need 100 tiles, most likely they will only have 50. The joke is on you if you think Floor & No More is going to help you collect all the tiles you need. You have to look around at other stores and pull together the amount you need. If you need to have it shipped YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING. They don't have their own trucks, so there is nothing being moved between the stores. I tried to have $350 worth of tile shipped to me, and the shipping was going to cost $290. Don't bother calling the Tacoma store - they wont answer the phone - ever. But there are usually 2-3 people crowded around a register by the front door doing nothing. Then there are dye lots considerations. We found one box with the same dye lot in Portland. They shipped it. It arrived with 8 of 13 precious tiles broken. Don't waste your time here. read more

Do NOT purchase from this company. We purchased flooring and they recommended we buy more than we need and just return what we do not use. Before returning the unused flooring, we called and after looking up our account they said bring it down and we will give you store credit. After driving almost an hour to return it, we were told all returns are controlled by a third party company and our return was denied. I asked why my return would be denied and the staff claimed they have no control over the third party company that just says yes or no in their computer. They said if I call the company the next business day I can get it cleared it. After calling the third party company, I was told I would have to file a dispute. They will convince you to pay for more than you need and then refuse to let you return it. I will never shop here again. read more

I've made two very large purchases from here and I'm very happy with the service I received for both. Originally I ordered a product at the Tacoma location, but Tukwila either had more in stock or could get the difference faster, I can't remember, so we picked it up in Tukwila. I was so worried it wouldn't be there and ready like it should have been (it's quite the drive and I had to borrow a friends truck) but it was thankfully ready. Fast forward a bit and I needed to return some of it. I called in on a weekend and was told that the manager Makinzie would be back in on Tuesday and she would be able to better answer my questions. (I had some confusion about return timelines, not having the original credit card anymore, could we just do a credit toward the new product I needed to order, etc. I over think everything so it was probably less of a big deal than I thought it was). Makinzie was very sweet and great to work with, she said I could use the return credit toward other product no problem, that would actually be easier than issuing a store credit. My fiancé and I went in last night after work with the flooring to return and to pick out what we needed. Makinzie set us up with Lisa, one of the designers there so she could help us pick back splash material for our kitchen. If you aren't a chatty person and just want to get in and out, maybe you wouldn't be as fond of Lisa as I was, but I thought she was fantastic. She took us through their wall tile section, answered questions and asked some of her own to get kind of feel for what we were looking for. We had a sample of our countertop that we purchased somewhere else, and a few (not good) pictures of the cabinet and wall colors. She took us to a few simple tiles that she thought would compliment them, then roamed with us as we held the counter sample up to some other miscellaneous options. She also showed us a range of sizes in case we wanted lots of grout lines and shapes versus minimal grout lines and bigger pieces. I didn't understand how the large ones could be used as a back splash, so she took some off of the pallet and made a visual for me. We ended up purchasing her first recommendation, not because she pushed us, but because after looking at TONS of others, we really thought it was simple enough where it didn't distract from the counters, but also wasn't just blah, plain either. It was perfect. The color of the tile pulls one of the accent colors from the counter and makes it more bold. Before we made the final decision we were wondering how many of this tile would be stacked between the counter and the bottom of the cabinets (aesthetically we wanted to make sure it wouldn't look funky) she took a stack and we went to her desk, she laid them out how they would be up the wall and measured for us to have a better idea. Then she helped us pick grout to match. I had some questions on how the mortar and grout would be done since my fiancé has a general idea but I definitely don't. She was able to answer those questions as well. It definitely helps to have measurements before you go in, she did calculations on a calculator to make sure we got the correct amount (plus 10% over in case we break anything or make a mistake). I have no doubt that if we need to return some we won't have an issue. Sorry to write a novel but I feel like for someone who hasn't done grout/tile/whatever before, some of this could be helpful to them too. As far as other reviewers not liking the cashiers, we did purchase a sample on our first visit before ordering what we actually needed at a later date, and the sample did seem kind of confusing to the cashier, but at the same time, Tacoma had just opened so they were likely still learning. I feel like Floor and Decor is likely having trouble hiring and keeping employees just like every other business is right now, especially for what is generally paid for an entry level position, which is what a cashier is. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but my opinion is I'd rather have a new cashier but have a knowledgeable designer/manager should the need arise to talk with them, which is exactly what I got. read more

Only a total of about 6 customers in the store and all of the associates were just standing atound talking. Plenty if them made eye contact with me but did not say hello or acknowledge me. If this is how they are going to treat people shopping there imagine if you have an issue with the product and need customer support. Plenty of better spots around to get flooring. read more

We are building a house and purchased all of our flooring and tile from the Tacoma Floor & Decor. We really liked their setup and large selection. The large floor displays gave us confidence in our choices. However, every single thing since that day has been a huge disappointment. We worked with a designer who seemed to struggle with measurements and such. I gave her the benefit of the doubt initially, but we have had to return to the store for more tile because her calculations were off. We live an hour away, so this is not convenient. I am worried we will be short on our vinyl flooring once we start laying. Also, we have never done flooring of any kind, so we did not know that underlayment was required for our flooring, and no one at F&D bothered to tell us that. Now we have the sub contractor wondering where our underlayment is. We went to the Tacoma store, and they didn't have any 300 ft rolls in stock, and wanted to charge us an extra $300 to get the equivalent in 100 ft rolls (their lack costs me MORE?). So we ordered 8 rolls on 2/23. We were told they'd be there the next day. It's 2/28, and they still aren't in. Out of desperation, we started calling nearby stores. We found enough rolls at the Everett store. We were told they don't do shipping between stores, and shipping to our home would cost $175. I ended up talking to someone I thought was very helpful, who told me he could have 8 rolls FedExd to us same day on Monday 2/28 for $95, (plus an extra $10 per roll price increase from what we were charged in Tacoma. Why?) but when I received the tracking confirmation, the receipt delivery is 3/5, and not even close to the same day delivery promised. We called the Tacoma store this morning. After the phone rang and rang, the person who picked up heard our problem, said she'd research our first order status and call us back in 5 minutes. That was hours ago and we still haven't heard from her. So now we have no option of getting the supplies in time to start our flooring install which will result in a potential weeks long delay due to subs needing to get to other jobs to make money. I have been appalled at the terrible customer service of this company, and the little effort made to keep customers happy and returning. I will never go back, and I advise you don't purchase from them. read more
