My wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we stumbled upon Sage Interiors while we were out looking for a new sofa for our home; Nigel greeted us and was very pleasant without being over bearing or pushy. The styles and variety of furniture they had in their showroom were extensive and well made. Nigel allowed us to take a couple fabric samples home to decide which would match our walls and other furniture. We came back the next day and placed our order for our custom couch, I can not recommend them enough, the quality of the furniture and the pricing is exceptional. We will absolutely be back to purchase more items for around our home. read more

Sage is a nice furniture store in the middle of Tacoma. They carry a ton of nice furniture, but their prices are really high. Great big showroom and many options to choose from for all your household need. read more

every time we wander in, we come out with something beautiful and a perfect fit. Tacoma is beyond blessed to have them here.

Ordered a beautiful sofa that I've wanted for a long time online. I was charged for the piece, and no shipping information was provided. I reached out immediately via phone, text , and email, and have been reaching out daily, going on 5 days with zero response from this "white glove, customer centric" business. I just opened a dispute with my credit card company. As a business owner myself, poor communication always leads to more problems, and makes you seem untrustworthy. read more

Steve and I recently went to TREE and fell in love with the place! The furniture and home decor store which is upstairs of a warehouse building in Tacoma had very unique and beautiful home goods for sale! Some of the price tags could induce sticker shock especially for some Tacoma tastes but you can tell very easily that the quality of the products here are excellent. The staff here is very friendly and approachable and will happily answer any questions you may have. read more

It's now been 9 months since we ordered a table, sofa, and oversized chair from Tree at the tune of 13k. Nicole has paid us back $4k since my first Yelp review. Hardly impressive business practices. This has nothing to do with Covid. When we canceled our order in November (less than 24 hours after we placed it), we should have had our money back in 2-5 business days. But, here we are 9 months later with two payments of $2k to show for it. I won't be satisfied until our money is fully refunded and then some. Customers are not payday loans. Tacoma beware. read more

I ordered in May 2 chairs and a coffee table. Nothing shipped thru Sept. Radio silence from the owner. Finally I reached Nichol and the order was shipped and then an accident stopped the truck. The 2 chairs were fed exed. Fast forward to Nov w radio silence. Finally Nixhol reached out and credited me the $2400 for the coffee table. I haven't seen the credit yet, but I hv high hopes. Order at your own risk. The merchandise is original and unique. read more

From the moment we walked into Sage interiors, we instantly new it was going to be our all time favorite furniture gallery! Everything is displayed so beautifully, you want to take it home exactly as is. Fabulous customer service, products were available, and fantastically there was an opening to ship the same week! Thank you Sage Interiors! Teri B read more

Strolled into Sage on a Sunday afternoon, having spent the Saturday before viewing all the chain furniture stores in Tukwila. Thought we'd give it a shot. We had been in several months before just to look. So, Nigel helped us. Hung back while we explored. Gave us some advice on how to buy a couch [you sit on one for like 10 minutes - f***ing brilliant]. And we bought one. It arrived ahead of schedule. We will come back for the next item. And the couch is wonderful. read more

We recently moved to the area from Southern California and after looking for a dining table (we wanted solid wood) we found Sage. We stopped in their showroom which is a very cool warehouse and saw the Oak Slice dining table, we ordered it. After ordering that we went back the following week and also ordered 4 bedside tables. We were a little hesitant in doing this given a couple of the previous reviews. We were quoted shorter times on some of the items which ended up taking slightly longer than the original date, which was not a big deal. We received all of our items in 8 weeks which I believe is the norm right now from any retailer. Overall we are 110% satisfied with our purchase and we'll order from Sage in the future. read more

We were on a hunt for nightstands and stumbled upon Sage Interiors in the old Tacoma Armory building. What a cool place to show home furnishings. It is so light and bright from all the high windows wrapping around it that you see the true colors of the furniture and such. Nigel introduced himself and Sage Interiors then let us have our space to roam. When we didn't find the style of nightstands we wanted Nigel guided us through his computer catalog, no luck, we have a very specific style in mind. The "WIN" came when we decided to have a last look around before leaving. We came across a round coffee table set that is now sitting in our home. Thanks Sage we will be back! Tom & Tina read more

My husband and I took a random trip into the Sage showroom one Sunday afternoon. It is GORGEOUS. I would live there if I could. Anyway, we found a chair and ottoman that I just had to have by Gus, the Tallinn Chair & Ottoman. The gentleman that assisted us was great, but sadly is no longer at Sage. He shared that that day happened to be the last day of a sale, so of course we pulled the trigger. We were given a delivery window and waited patiently for our purchase. I received several emails re status of our delivery and when time was closer I also agreed to text message alerts. Sage is excellent at communicating! The delivery was on time and insanely fast and easy. I can't recommend them enough. Beautiful pieces, great service...what's not to love?! read more

We we're looking for an expandable, dining room table that was modern and unique. We went to Sage because they have so many beautiful, well made pieces of furniture. We found the perfect table! Gorgeous teak that expands to 118". The Sage associates were so helpful and made the purchase quick and painless! We highly recommend Sage as a place to remember if you are looking for something unique and impressive! K Baerny read more

Our visit to tree was nothing shy of amazing. We walked in with our kids and we're immediately greeted at the entrance BY Nigel who introduced us to James and even brought the kids coloring books and colored pencils to keep them occupied during our visit. James was efficient, easy to work with and had a great vibe. He helped us with our purchase and the process was extremely seamless. We walked out thinking, THAT WAS EASY! The space is gorgeous and very luxe looking but inviting at the same time. I fell in love as soon as I walked in. So much, that I want to work here! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE. read more

I really enjoyed my experience with Sage Interiors and the quality of the products - however, communication cadence and tone changes once you make your payment. At this price point, customer service should extend beyond the initial sale. I had no issues with shipping, but once I had additional questions about furniture for other rooms, my questions received delayed responses. By the time I had questions about my order and questions about scratches in my leather couch after delivery -- my emails went unanswered for more than week. The tone then changed to more of "what do you want" as opposed to "please let us know if we can help you." Part of me feels the delays were due to me being within the return phase - however I was never looking to return and only looking to resolve my concerns. My concerns were semi-resolved. I would likely shop here again but this was a sore point and left a negative impression on The otherwise positive experience. When you spend thousands of dollars in one trip at a business, I would expect customer retention to be stellar Throughout all aspects of the process. read more

We visited tree in September and ordered 2 couches. The salesman we worked with was solid but here it is mid January and they don't even have an estimated date when our couches will be delivered. It is nearly 4 months now since we paid over $4000 and they don't have a date??? I would NOT recommend anybody give Tree your money. Go to Sheldons or Macy's, NOT TREE!!! (Update to original Post) Tree provided us a full refund yesterday. They also provided a loaner couch to use. I am disappointed with the original transaction not getting completed, but they did follow-through on their promise to refund me in full. read more

It pains. me to write this review as I had hoped our issue would be resolved, as Nicole had promised. We purchased an outdoor table last summer and by spring of this year, the table was peeling, in poor condition, and unusable. After several phone calls and following up, Sage did come pick up the table and offered to have their repair company look at it to see what they could do. After 2 months of repeated phone calls to get an update, I finally was able to get a hold of Nicole and she was very pleasant and felt bad about the table not being fixed. She said the manufacturer said there was nothing they could do and the repair company could not fix it. At that point, everything seemed great as she offered to credit us back the cost of the table towards a new table that she would help me pick out. That was 2 weeks ago. I have called multiple times, texted multiple times, and no response. I don't know what else to do besides write this review as it seems others have had to do as well. read more

I couldn't be happier with my new living room set from Sage interiors. My wife and I had to get the couch to match the chairs we wanted. The quality of the items is something of a rarity now a days. We are very satisfied with our experience purchasing furniture from Sage and would recommend them. We were looking for solid wood furniture with a modern yet organic aesthetic, and found Sage in Tacoma. We found exactly what we were looking for and purchased the oak slice dining table and 4 bedside tables from the same Ethnicraft collection. We were also happy to support a local business. We purchased our furniture in July and received delivery at the end of August. To be honest, we were worried regarding some reviews but with follow-up and communications on both sides, we are satisfied with our experience. What I can tell potential customers based on our experience is to be patient since Sage is a small business, and logistics is always an evolving part of any business. Nigel and Collette updated us every step of the way. Nigel explained that the furniture is sent from the manufacturer to North Carolina. From there, Sage has their own truck to pick up the orders (not a third-party trucking company where your furniture can be mishandled). As you can imagine, Sage would want to fill up their truck and not just pick up your one order. So there is a slight delay there but it is definitely worth the wait. We love our new pieces! They will go with any home we will have (we move a lot). read more

Sage has been incredible with helping us design and furnish our home. We are extremely happy with the services that have been provided (shout out to Emma, Nicole, and Nigel)! We absolutely love the stunning pieces that we have ordered so far. It is a challenging time as far as delivery of goods and they have gone above and beyond to research availability and lead times. As well as ensuring we receive our items as quickly as possible given the circumstances. We have been very, very happy and will continue to use Sage as we add the finishing touches to our home. read more

If you're looking for quality products, Tree is where you need to go. Their showroom is absolutely stunning and welcoming. It's nice that the owners, Nicole and Nigel, are there interacting with customers and they show genuine interest in what you're there for. Where else can you go and talk to an interior designer on the spot? Our sales person, James, was great to work with as well. We purchased a few items that will probably last a very long time. They were very upfront about the expected delivery time frame being uncertain. I'm sure this has to do with the pandemic. I will update as I receive our purchases just because there seems to be some negative reviews on here regarding communications/not receiving products. Our experience so far was great and the customer service has been outstanding. I hope your company thrives and stays in our community for a very long time! read more

4 orders, 4 family members, all with the same results. The one star reviews are accurate. Order done, order paid for, order never received or received incorrectly. Money received is being used elsewhere! For those who have not received a refund or their order, keep calling and do not take their word. Verify what is being told to you. My sister's order was told it was a manufacture issue. When I called the manufacturer directly, the order was never processed because payment was not made. VERIFY every detail including looking at an email to confirm the order is being processed. This is so unfortunate because there were some amazing people working there. (gone now). Such a beautiful store and so sad this is the outcome! read more

We had a similar situation to those on here who've experienced lack of follow up on their order inquiries since the COVID crisis. It is of course unnerving when you can't get ahold of a firm that has several thousand of you dollars. I'm happy to report however, Nicole and Nigel did just recently get in touch and came through in a major way. I believe that they are simply overwhelmed in a way that lots of small businesses are right now. I encouraged Nicole to follow up with clients on here who are having issues, even if just to simply acknowledge the inquiry. She was very apologetic and just didn't understand the extent to which the negative experiences were building up anxiety for customers. read more

Tree has some absolutely amazing pieces for so many different interior tastes. James was so attentive and helpful! He helped us out, getting anything priced that we asked about and was deeply knowledgeable about almost every item. I bought a sofa here and he knew everything from what fabrics are best for wear, the cushion build materials and ins and outs of the warranties. Tree's prices are a little on the pricey side, but everything from the actual pieces, to the customer service and the white glove delivery is absolutely top notch! I will be back time and time again. We absolutely love TREE. From the moment you walk in you will be blown away by how beautiful and inspiring the space is. Not only are the furniture pieces gorgeous and one of a kind, but the building itself is just breathtaking. Beware!!! The owner of this business is a scam artist!!! My husband and I paid cash for a dining table and chairs in November. We were told they would arrive in January, then March. I finally reached out to the manufacturer in N.C. My order had been placed but never paid for, so it was eventually cancelled. So Nicole Wakely (owner) has basically pocketed my $7,000 and has never paid the vendor for my table and chairs. Her employees and vendors have been unable to reach her for months. Save yourself some heartache and DO NOT order from this place! read more

I first wandered into TREE 18 months ago in need of furnishings for a small apartment. When you enter their Tacoma store you know instantly that this place is different - full of beautiful wood products like you've never seen before. I bought couches, a bed, lamps and tables including a beautiful hand carved piece, and chairs. I worked with Philemon who has a rare eye for beauty and harmony. I had to wait - many of their products are hand made, one of a kind, and travel long distances! They don't have a giant warehouse with a bunch of cheap mass-produced junk. Waiting was worth it! I have a great space that fits me and no one has seen anything like these pieces. If you are looking for something beautiful and unique, visit Tree. read more

I haven't been into the store yet, because I ordered a table via the phone, however because the team was so friendly I will definitely visit in person.
