Nigel allowed us to take a couple fabric samples home to decide which would match our walls and other furniture. We came back the next day and placed our order for our custom couch, I can not recommend them enough, the quality of the furniture and the pricing is exceptional. The furniture and home decor store which is upstairs of a warehouse building in Tacoma had very unique and beautiful home goods for sale! Some of the price tags could induce sticker shock especially for some Tacoma tastes but you can tell very easily that the quality of the products here are excellent. I ordered in May 2 chairs and a coffee table. Nothing shipped thru Sept. Radio silence from the owner. Finally I reached Nichol and the order was shipped and then an accident stopped the truck. The 2 chairs were fed exed. Fast forward to Nov w radio silence. Finally Nixhol reached out and credited me the $2400 for the coffee table. I haven't seen the credit yet, but I hv high hopes. This has nothing to do with Covid. When we canceled our order in November (less than 24 hours after we placed it), we should have had our money back in 2-5 business days. But, here we are 9 months later with two payments of $2k to show for it. I won't be satisfied until our money is fully refunded and then some. Customers are not payday loans. It is so light and bright from all the high windows wrapping around it that you see the true colors of the furniture and such. Nigel introduced himself and Sage Interiors then let us have our space to roam. When we didn't find the style of nightstands we wanted Nigel guided us through his computer catalog, no luck, we have a very specific style in mind. We stopped in their showroom which is a very cool warehouse and saw the Oak Slice dining table, we ordered it. After ordering that we went back the following week and also ordered 4 bedside tables. We were a little hesitant in doing this given a couple of the previous reviews. We were quoted shorter times on some of the items which ended up taking slightly longer than the original date, which was not a big deal. My husband and I took a random trip into the Sage showroom one Sunday afternoon. It is GORGEOUS. I would live there if I could. Anyway, we found a chair and ottoman that I just had to have by Gus, the Tallinn Chair & Ottoman. The gentleman that assisted us was great, but sadly is no longer at Sage. He shared that that day happened to be the last day of a sale, so of course we pulled the trigger. We were given a delivery window and waited patiently for our purchase. I received several emails re status of our delivery and when time was closer I also agreed to text message alerts. Sage is excellent at communicating! I really enjoyed my experience with Sage Interiors and the quality of the products - however, communication cadence and tone changes once you make your payment. At this price point, customer service should extend beyond the initial sale. I had no issues with shipping, but once I had additional questions about furniture for other rooms, my questions received delayed responses. By the time I had questions about my order and questions about scratches in my leather couch after delivery -- my emails went unanswered for more than week. The tone then changed to more of "what do you want" as opposed to "please let us know if we can help you." Part of me feels the delays were due to me being within the return phase - however I was never looking to return and only looking to resolve my concerns. My concerns were semi-resolved. I would likely shop here again but this was a sore point and left a negative impression on The otherwise positive experience. We visited tree in September and ordered 2 couches. The salesman we worked with was solid but here it is mid January and they don't even have an estimated date when our couches will be delivered. It is nearly 4 months now since we paid over $4000 and they don't have a date??? I would NOT recommend anybody give Tree your money. Go to Sheldons or Macy's, NOT TREE!!! (Update to original Post) Tree provided us a full refund yesterday. They also provided a loaner couch to use. I am disappointed with the original transaction not getting completed, but they did follow-through on their promise to refund me in full. read more

It pains. me to write this review as I had hoped our issue would be resolved, as Nicole had promised. We purchased an outdoor table last summer and by spring of this year, the table was peeling, in poor condition, and unusable. After several phone calls and following up, Sage did come pick up the table and offered to have their repair company look at it to see what they could do. After 2 months of repeated phone calls to get an update, I finally was able to get a hold of Nicole and she was very pleasant and felt bad about the table not being fixed. She said the manufacturer said there was nothing they could do and the repair company could not fix it. At that point, everything seemed great as she offered to credit us back the cost of the table towards a new table that she would help me pick out. That was 2 weeks ago. I have called multiple times, texted multiple times, and no response. I don't know what else to do besides write this review as it seems others have had to do as well. read more

We purchased our furniture in July and received delivery at the end of August. To be honest, we were worried regarding some reviews but with follow-up and communications on both sides, we are satisfied with our experience. What I can tell potential customers based on our experience is to be patient since Sage is a small business, and logistics is always an evolving part of any business. Nigel and Collette updated us every step of the way. Nigel explained that the furniture is sent from the manufacturer to North Carolina. From there, Sage has their own truck to pick up the orders (not a third-party trucking company where your furniture can be mishandled). As you can imagine, Sage would want to fill up their truck and not just pick up your one order. So there is a slight delay there but it is definitely worth the wait. We love our new pieces! It's nice that the owners, Nicole and Nigel, are there interacting with customers and they show genuine interest in what you're there for. Where else can you go and talk to an interior designer on the spot? Our sales person, James, was great to work with as well. We purchased a few items that will probably last a very long time. They were very upfront about the expected delivery time frame being uncertain. I'm sure this has to do with the pandemic. I will update as I receive our purchases just because there seems to be some negative reviews on here regarding communications/not receiving products. Money received is being used elsewhere! For those who have not received a refund or their order, keep calling and do not take their word. Verify what is being told to you. My sister's order was told it was a manufacture issue. When I called the manufacturer directly, the order was never processed because payment was not made. VERIFY every detail including looking at an email to confirm the order is being processed. This is so unfortunate because there were some amazing people working there. (gone now). He helped us out, getting anything priced that we asked about and was deeply knowledgeable about almost every item.
