In the past, we have had challenges with contractors cutting corners on quality, taking way longer than expected and continually raising the price. I wanted to find a great tiler…read morebecause I had a lot of tile work that needed to be done on our remodel and some of the tile had uneven edges and the kitchen tile had different shapes, so I needed someone who knew how to tile more than just basic tile. I asked an employee of the tile store if she knew of a great tile person and she immediately recommended Ivan. In fact, she told me that he was about to start a project on her house, so she really meant it. I called Ivan and he responded quickly. I immediately sensed that he knew what he was talking about and took great pride in his work which was important to me. Ivan and Sergei, who is also absolutely experienced and incredible, could not have done a better job! The tile was layed out perfectly, the grout lines are perfect and they cut the tiles so the pattern looks amazing throughout. Check out the photo I attached of the corner wall in my kitchen. The large fireplace really needed people with extensive expertise because it turned out that unbeknownst to me, those tiles also were not exactly even. Before this project, I hadn't realized that a lot of tiles aren't the same exact size even if you think they are, so you need someone who really knows how to handle that. Ivan and Sergei spent a lot of time with a laser light pointer to make sure everything lined up perfectly and the end result is fantastic! The fireplace with the little tiles was also challenging because the little tiles kept coming off the mesh backing they came on. Ivan figured out how to make them stick on their backing prior to applying them and the end result is perfect. They also did our bathroom for us including a glass shower nook and that too, came out perfect. In addition to all that, everyone at I & E is extremely professional, timely, great at communicating and friendly. They take great pride in their work and it shows. I'm very grateful for the amazing job they did. You won't be sorry if you hire them!

Hired I&E as a subcontractor to tile a shower. After 1 year the shower pan leaked through the…read morefloor and into the basement through the light fixture. I called Ivan, and he said he only has a 1 year warranty. We removed the shower pan tile and found he did not do proper water proofing and it leaked through the corner of the shower. Now I cannot ahold of him. How can you trust this company when there is no store to find them at and they don't return your calls. I'm now stuck with a demolished, leaking shower. Stay away from this company!

I hired LCC, not because they were cheaper (they actually weren't) than the quote from Lowe's &…read moreHome Depot, but simply because they were able to schedule my granite countertop install within a week. The other guys were out 3-4 weeks, so I decided to hire LCC. I shouldn't have been so antsy! A portion of my granite looks terrible and I am very disappointed in their response to my complaint. Apparently we had a miscommunication; Winnie (the sales person) insists that she communicated to me that the grain direction would be different at the seam, but Obviously, I did not understand what was going to happen. As you can see in my pictures, a small piece had to be cut next to my stove. It was cut off the end of a larger piece and turned the opposite way, with the grain turned 90 degrees. I'm shocked that they would install such poor craftsmanship (obviously to save money). If I would've understood what was going to happen, I would've chose a different granite that didn't have such a strong directional grain. Winnie said she would give me a discount on another slab, but I'd still be liable for $400! This is unacceptable, and shotty work, at best! To top it off, the installers were messy & didn't clean everything up in my driveway. They should've had a tarp underneath the saws to collect the dust. I have to pressure wash my driveway to get rid of the sediment. I've posted pictures of their mess as well. I wouldn't recommend this company, they're clearly more interested in cutting corners than producing a quality looking project.

Paul talked me through how to diagnose the issue over the phone to see if the issue was with the fridge or with the circuit itself. Upon finding out that the issue was with the fridge, Paul advised me to contact an appliance tech instead of charging me to come out in person to do the diagnosis. I was very disappointed and mad that there wasn't any attention to my questions and inquiries about the certain products I've picked and they kept directing me to other products that were either, wrong finish, and wasn't offered in my finish, wrong type of product (I require ADA compatibility)..... and so on. I realize they can't carry EVERYTHING in stock , but at least HELP w/ products that are compatible w/ what I've chosen..... and fake it ..... show you care ( ? ). We are paying for your salary, and or commissions. If you like what's available on BUILD.com ...... I recommend doing your research on additional sites, then if you really need to feel it up close..... call local hardware store. Seems like these reps just want to collect a paycheck and not help out unless your a fancy designer spending for a client, and not $50 + for a shower head.
