I hired Granite Gallery to do an extensive remodel on my home...all new cabinets (2 bathrooms and kitchen), quartz countertops, convert 1 tub/shower to a walk-in shower, and new flooring throughout. Gary (the owner) came out to take measurements and I discussed with him and showed him the damage to some of my cabinets including the upstairs bathroom vanity. When he sent me the rendering, I asked for a change to the bathroom cabinets from just cabinet doors to a door and 2 small drawers. We agreed to the change via email. When they came to do demolition, they left the upstairs vanity intact so that I had running water in a sink somewhere in my house. I planned to keep my original sinks from the bathrooms and one of the toilets but they discarded the downstairs sink and the top of the tank from the toilet that I was going to keep. I did ask that they provide new sinks because it was an error on their part but I did go buy a 2nd new toilet myself. When they installed the new cabinets downstairs (kitchen and 1 bathroom), the bathroom vanity only had the cabinet doors without the 2 small drawers I had requested. I was confused but thought it must not have been doable in such a small space since my new cabinets were NOT custom. Work continued and eventually they were wrapping things up...or so I thought. They brought the quartz countertop for the upstairs vanity but there was no new vanity yet. I called Gary and he said it wasn't included in the original order but he said he'd get that ordered. It was 3 to 4 weeks later that they were finally coming out to install the vanity, countertop, etc. as well as finally install the door/drawer pulls on all my cabinets. I work from home but was very busy in meetings that day so only checked the work after they'd left. That is when I discovered that the layout I had requested WAS possible so the upstairs vanity had the cabinet and 2 small drawers. I had paid for this project with an upfront payment of more than half the cost of the project, a mid project payment, and then a "final" payment as things were beginning to wrap up but before I realized they didn't have my final cabinet. I was then contacted to pay 1 final invoice for the upstairs vanity and the knobs/pulls...both of these items were part of my original order. I tried to stop into The Granite Gallery showroom to speak to Gary in person but he was out so one of the girls had him email me in which he attached the original rendering of the cabinets and pointed out that only 1 bathroom vanity was ordered and I agreed to it. In my response, I attached the email conversation where I agreed to a different configuration. I had also let him know that they didn't cut a hole at the base of that upstairs vanity for the heat to vent out into the bathroom. After more than a week when I hadn't heard back, I reached out again via email and received an email from his assistant informing me that Gary was out so she was receiving his emails and answering. She said that Gary had decided to write off the upstairs cabinet and to enjoy my remodelled home. I sent a response that the heat vent still needed to be addressed and I have been ignored...no response. Overall, the workmanship was good and the foreman was very helpful but the lack of decent communication and follow through on The Granite Gallery's part was horrible and now I feel like I've been blown off because they screwed up on the cabinet layout and I have it in writing. I had a problem. A shower replacement had destroyed some tile that could not be replaced. It was custom tile. I had an old piece of tile that Granite Gallery was able to cut to size and bevel for me. That spent time over a couple of visits before we hit on this solution and then did the job for free. They have my full-throated support. Scott the sales person was informative and did a layout and estimate of our kitchen design was spot on and we never felt pressured. Max did the template and installation was very informative and quality minded. Travis did the final templating of our backsplash and he spent a good deal of time with us was not in any hurry and really helped us with our decision process with the material we had left to work with it was a real pleasure to work with him. Absolutely outstanding customer service and installation experience. I went into the showroom to see about getting a piece of remnant countertop for a small kitchenette that I was building in an apartment. Gary, Scott and Travis assisted me in selecting a piece, taking the measurements and scheduling an installation date. The price for the remnant and installation was easily $400 cheaper than anyone else in the Puget Sound area. Upon installation, Edgar (the installer) went above and beyond and installed the countertop and my undermount sink at no cost, even assisted with another bathroom countertop that I had purchased from a big box store. The work was very professional, friendly and fast. A+++ in my book, especially after dealing with other contractors (during my house build) that were anything but professional, friendly and fast. i ask myself why did i choose this place? Nice curb appeal... check... Locally owned.. check... pricing within reason.. check....cause i felt they were local.. i felt we might get our questions answered if any arose... So we went with them... Bad Bad bad choice.... Folks I have read negative reviews and always kinda thought the person writing review was partially at fault.... Maybe its my fault cause I ignored the warning signs.... First the salesman... Just talking to him I wasn't impressed.. Should of walk away after meeting him... but locally owned... We decided on a product.... But my sister in law... who has been in this countertop business on the east coast said don't get that ... so we changed to something else... The salesman more or lesss told us she didnt know what she was talking about... She had no interest in this project other than trying to guide us... should of left.... local business I will support..we pay half... about 4900.00 bucks... Thought that since we paid they would be more serious about us as a customer.... Nope.. The guy shows up to our templates.. knowledgeable guy.... in conversation he said i also work for other companies... ok should of asked more about that...I took as we should look for another installer... We decided after our first visit to include the bathrooms.... No problem... template person who measures was on vacation... But salesman says i will send another guy out... Great... No show ... no call... i call the next day and salesman says... he didnt show??? nope.... I'm thinking don't you people talk? He says he will be the Saturday.... ok.... Saturday roles around.. no one shows no calls.... i call Monday... Gal answers .. Salesman is off. i explain to her what happened... she says why did he say that? Our guy is on vacation and they dont do this on Saturdays ... im bewildered....I say ask him... I have no idea why he does this..Should of left there... then i call again, salesman says only talk to me... I say i try... but you two litteraly sit feet apart... talk to each other... a few days before install i stop by GG just to make sure we are on schedule... yes they say everything looks good... Fantastic.... I have a plumber scheduled everything is good... Day before I call yes looks good... day of install no show... I call... ohh sorry we had someone call in sick but Monday... ok cancel plumber... plumber says we charge cancelation fee..but will be there Monday.. ok I say Monday ... no show... Frustrated...call and want to cancel the entire job...Plumber says... I cant be on standby.... Ok pay him his cancellation fee.. Owner of GG calls ... tries to do the right thing and has two installers show up around 5 to at least get started... Great employees these two were... next day they did sow up around 10ish... again great employee's... started to feel good about the company... then they finished....Literally driving out the driveway... gal calls.. how did it go she asks... fantastic i say... These guys are great... then she asked for payment... i laughed to myself ... ill be in tomorrow... cause now i was doing plumbing and didnt have time... Anyways not 10 minutes goes by and salesman calls... how'd it go.. fine... do you want to pay the rest he says... i say talk to the gal sitting next to you she just called... Judge for yourself if you want to deal with this nonsense. We did pay this in full this day .... Just to show them how they should treat people. In construction jobs don't always go as planned, we had a slab back order which delayed our install, but granite gallery was very communicative and helpful in picking out our stone, backsplash, and designing our beautiful new kitchen. This is probably one of my most favorite reviews ever. If you're looking to replacing your countertop, vanity top, bathroom shower tiles, etc., put down the phone and run to Granite Gallery, stat. Still reading? I guess you really just want to check on reviews, huh? Alrighty then, here it is. I'll try to sum up to make it easy for you. You're welcome. PROS: Hats off to David B., who is one awesome guy. He was the one who coordinated everything for us. Apart from the material that we chose, it was the way David patiently dealt with all our concerns that made is go with GG. He answered all our questions without feeling rushed. Well, shopping for counters isn't like shopping for shoes. You can only do it a few times in your life so make it count. They have some lovely 3cm granite and quartz on Special. Lovely slabs starting at $53 installed for granite. $50 for remnants. Slab room and fabrication were done on site. No delivery charge to Lacey, not sure about other areas tho. They didn't charge extra for larger radius in corners. The other guys that we asked did. GG have 4 free edges that all look top notch. We were there for approval of template. We modified the shape of our overhang to a more rounded look (also at NO additional cost). Mark, the template guy and David did an amazing job on the new shape. They accommodated our time frame, completed the job before my husband leaves again for training. The demo and install guys, Travis and Javier were great. Our old dingy granite tile counters gave them quite a workout during the demo but these guys worked tirelessly and were very professional. They made sure that the cabinet bases were structurally sound, the new counters clean and literally sparkling and tidied up the spaces before they left. Travis, you magician. Sometimes I forget where you put that seam. #flawless The white quartz is really lovely. CONS: None, yet. We'll there was one tiny chip on the bottom of one edge that Javier fixed. It's not anybody's fault really. I just wanted to point it out that no install job can ever be perfect. Tiny chips can happen. SO you see... I'm a gal who won't settle but I am realistic. I paid attention to everything. It was my job to make sure NOTHING was missed. That is why I had all the questions to ask and a list beforehand so David, Mark and the install guys would know what I wanted and they definitely delivered. We went with a company that we felt confident and comfortable with since Day 1. We would't if we felt otherwise. Common sense, guys. After asking around, I was referred to them by a contractor/friend. I had been shopping around and getting quotes for kitchen countertops, and the minute I walked in to see their stuff and meet the staff, I ordered that same day. The customer service was amazing, Gary and Scott were so helpful through the process, Rhonda is so nice and answered so many of my questions, and the installation guys were so friendly and helpful. It's a pleasure to write this review. Granite Gallery/Tumwater installed a new quartz countertop in our kitchen, and in three bathrooms. The kitchen countertop was tricky and required a cut in the huge slab near the sink. The installation crew did a marvelous job both with demolition and installation. The seam is almost non-existent. Let's back up. My wife and I visited Granite Gallery's modern show room in August 2018. The granite selection is excellent. We did a lot of shopping around and Granite Gallery had the lowest prices in the area. Mike, one of the professional sales representatives was completely familiar with all their products. He patiently listened to our needs. (we changed our minds several times on what to consider purchasing) There was no hard sell. After making our selection, we decided on an undermount sink in the kitchen as well as the bathrooms. These were purchased at Granite Gallery since their prices were competitive and we figured there would be no surprises with the installation of sinks they were familiar installing. When it came time for the in-home measurements, Granite Gallery's representative was professional and used the latest computer aided laser measuring equipment to insure an accurately cut slab. Travis was more than helpful and suggested we also install a quartz window sill above the kitchen counter. The whole process was a pleasure. From Day 1 this company has shown gross incompetence. Its like they have been doing this for a month and are still trying to figure it out. First, they send a guy who has given his notice and quit, to measure and estimate the job, then they have no idea what the job entailed and so had to send out other people to do it all again. Multiple times. The guy who came out to demo had no paperwork and had no idea what was going on. Their paperwork does clearly state that you are not responsible for plumbing. I understand that. But don't make your clients guess about when plumbers need to be called and for what reason. We are not contractors. We hire you to correctly inform us what needs to be done. Once the decision was made about materials, I had to THREE TIMES reiterate in writing/email the details of the materials chosen because they kept getting it wrong. When I complained about their mistakes, no apology was ever made. What happened to "the customer is always right" credo? With your business, "the customer is always wrong, or we will try to make sure they think they are wrong when we screw up". Fortunately, I have emails to document our communication that illustrates when they were wrong, otherwise they would never admit it. When I pointed out concerns about poor quality work, I got defensive statements that it was not their job to fix the drywall damage caused by their employees when the original shower wall was removed. If they were proud of their work, they would fix what is wrong, not say to the customer, "fix it yourself, its not our job". Or "we'll fix it for $75 more dollars" When a customer is clearly as unhappy as I was throughout this entire process, an occasional apology or offering a crappy $75 piece of granite to fix an issue would have gone a long way to improve the situation. Then when the shower was completely installed, and the plumber I had to call came out to put in the shower head, there were no predrilled holes in the granite to fix the shower head to, and Granite Gallery tried to make the plumber drill the holes. Apparently that "wasn't their job" either? I can't believe that they are still in business with this kind of sloppy, inattention to detail and poor treatment of their customers. And I and my husband will happily share our terrible experiences with this company to anyone who will listen. If we can spare one family the aggravation that we have endured for the past 3 months, then we will be satisfied. read more

Wonderful! I shopped around and decided to go with Granite Gallery based on the recommendation of a friend. I was glad I chose the local company who stands behind their work. A lot of the line items that the box stores ding you for (like nicer edges and finishing) are included in the estimate. From day 1 when we were looking for color options to the last day of installation, Granite Gallery continued to amaze us. It started with the thoroughness of the office gals who helped us pick out and order our slab, to the owner coming out to help the template guy who had questions because of our unusual design, to the installers who worked tirelessly - paying attention to the smallest detail. Throughout the entire process, Granite Gallery continued to impress us with their professionalism. We highly recommend them. read more

Pros and cons with our experience. On the positive, we love majority of our quartz countertops. The installation team was stellar! Very professional, and respectful of our home. On the negative, Ashley in customer service misquoted sink cut out price more than a few times, giving a much lower price which helped us ultimately choose to go with them. After returning home from putting a deposit down the priced was doubled on the estimate. Called to discuss with Ashley, she had an "oh well, not my problem" attitude. Similar to a bait and switch. Once counters were installed, there is a noticeable blurry spot on the largest piece of counter, We were told quartz tends to have less issues being man made, knowing how much counters we were replacing, we felt this was safer to go with over granite, but that didn't work out. After receiving survey in the mail, voiced our concerns with owner Tim who called 10-24, no offer to fix anything, just a promise to call back on Friday the 26th. Haven't heard anything since. Its one thing if you're buying an inexpensive item, but when you're dropping thousands of dollars, then it's a bit more frustrating. read more

Would not recommend to anyone! The installers showed up and began demoing my kitchen without even covering up the hardwood floors that had been installed two months prior. I had to ask them not to drag my appliances across the floors. They seemed incompetent and careless in their work. Too many issues to even list. After emailing the owner with my concerns, I received a very dismissive email in return. Very disappointing for a local business. read more
