To start with I've been coming here for years, since before they moved to new location. I sent my 19 year old daughter up there to get the oil changed on now her 2002 Camry before a trip and she walked away with a $76 bill (which was more than she budgeted) - mostly my fault as the prior time I was in I had used the high miles synthetic blend - she didn't know to ask for the regular cheaper oil. I recently took my K3500 diesel pickup in there for oil and it was only $62. The manager called me to explain the bill, thanks John - I will keep going back as they are a good local business. Now if only it was a little cheaper... Try to find coupons if you can as it will bring the price down for those families that service multiple cars there. read more

Do NOT visit Bothell Grease Monkey-they have the worst level of customer service imaginable. Went in to get my battery replaced. Left with my radio/Bluetooth & front console not working at all. Everything was fully functioning prior to my service. The Manger was completely unapologetic & unwilling to to rectify the problem. Treated me like an idiot which I do not appreciate. Now I'll have to pay $500 to get this fixed at my dealership. Spoke to their GM-he & owner are unwilling to fix the mistake THEY caused. They also lied to me saying my car was due for an oil change (they said every 5500 miles) when in fact the dealership informed me that it's due every 10k! While this location is convenient do not go here-their customer service is terrible and they will not fix their mistakes. read more

I wish I had discovered this place as soon as I moved to Washington State. These guys did such a great job with my little car, despite the fact that I took it in for an oil change during a Seahawk's Playoff Game...initially there was one other car, but after those people left, I was the only car there...it's like people were watching the game, or something. In addition, I wasn't met with any attitude such as, why aren't you watching the game? Conveniently located across from Safeway grocery store, and they have a comfy lobby to sit in, with a large TV. I'll definitely be back for loyalty points. Anyway, they took a lot of time with my car, and I was able to watch the entire process, so I know that it was done right. I explained to them, before they even looked at my vehicle for the oil change, that my car was having an engine revving issue, which was supposedly fixed 10 days ago (though not). They explained that they had a service that would help with the issue, Fuel system cleaning, which was $69.99 addt to the oil change***I really appreciate how they were able to take the time to show me what was needed and **I saw with my own eyes the valve that was clogged with grime. Then I saw them also do all of the work, so it was like *total transparency* I didn't feel that they were talking down to me as a "clueless female," instead I felt like I was actually treated with respect. Great service and very fast. The waiting room was there I clean and there were lots of toys for our daughter as well as complementary juice and water which made it very easy for her to sit still while we were waiting. The service is steller, they quoted us 19.99 for an air filter but it turned out to be 24.99 but they honored the price they quoted. We will defenetly by back. read more

I've been coming to this place for years, due to being so close to my office. They have always been great, last time I went they even changed out my front left blinker light with Orange Bulb because it was out, they ran across the street to auto parts store because they didn't have the exact bulb in stock for me. pricing is similar to other Oil change shops, but you can always get coupons to lower the price. A couple of months ago, after receiving the most appalling service at Sears Auto in Lynnwood, my husband stopped in at this location, on his long commute home, since he remembered how awesome they were previously, when we lived closer. He needed a brake job, and a belt changed, and entered this location on the off-chance they could help him. They didn't know the hell he'd gone through already at Sears, and he didn't bore them with the gory details, but they got to work on his truck, had it all fixed, lickity-split, and all for a price that was literally HUNDREDS less than Sears. In addition, he didn't need half of the things he'd been told he needed, they looked at him aghast when he asked them "are you SURE?" When he came home and told me how amazing his experience was, the pair of us were almost in tears! They had no clue, but hopefully now will, how happy they made us, and what a godsend they were! They were just a good bunch of guys, doing a normal, good days work. Thank you!!!! I have been going to this Grease Monkey for at least 7 years and these guys are great! Great service and they always honor the coupon rate, even if I forget it at home. I always bring my own oil with me and they never have any problems with that. They also don't try to sell me things or services that I don't need. I am a very discerning car guy. Grease Monkey has been very good to me for all of my 8 years residing in Bothell. I have a work van with a thousand grease fittings that need particular attention, regularly. If I ever need anything, I drop in and have them look at my vehicles, and they give me honest, objective advice. It is the best lube place in the area. They do clean, competent work. A little on the expensive side, but such a positive experience! My boys all loved the complimentary chewing gum and juice boxes, and I loved that they were happy while we waited. It was quick and professional. I only wish I had known ahead of time that they were going to vacuum my car (it was included in the oil change) - I would have cleared out our junk so it was possible to vacuum! They told me that the air filters needed to be replaced. I told them I have them in the trunk and I can replace them myself. They told me they would install my air filters I had for no charge since they would have to do the work anyways. Appreciate the great customer experience! I'll be coming back. read more

I recently went here to get my oil changed. I have never been to grease moneky, I usually go to Penzoil. The thing I like about grease monkey is that they dont pressure you AT ALL. They told me my radiator fluid needed changing, but I could wait till a couple more visits. They also helped me figure out why my check engine light was on. LOVE this place and will be going back. I typically go to my full service mechanic even for my oil changes but he has been so busy that I have not been able to get an appointment. So to Yelp I went and was pleased to read so many great service experiences from many different customers. I filled in the Yelp $9 off contact us, asking for an appointment the next morning and Al responded promptly confirming the time with a "We will see you then!" Nice!!! Pulled up to smiling John, picked the oil, listened to additional services offered but did not feel pressured. Sat in the extra clean waiting room and in 15 minutes-DONE! James finished by reviewing my transaction at the register and I shared my yelp search that brought me to them. I complimented him on their terrific reviews which he so appreciated. James said, we try really hard and he is right...thinking it wise to come back again where my business experience is great and appreciated, plus $9 off was nice too! read more

Not helpful or friendly place. This is the 2nd time I've come here and they've quoted me a different price without notifying me first. I thought maybe since I lived walking distance to them I would try them again but I was wrong. They told me when I dropped off my car it would be $74.99 when I went up to pay after 45 minutes of waiting they said it was $109. The cashier was condescending and rude when we tried to explain this was not our fault they made a mistake. The cashier then said he would fix this "great injustice " this time and went on to say why the guy that quoted me was wrong, like we should've known better! I will not be going back there again. Pretty good oil change place. They are not too tough on extra services. Make sure you know what services you have had done and at what mileage. Thus won't bug you about it. We bring our own filter with anti-drainback valves. Their filters do NOT have anti-drainback valves. Look it up. They have synthetic and they do Mercedes e class filters. I can usually find a 7 to 9 dollar coupon. Waiting on mornings is usually short. Can walk to Safeway or Country Village of you play Ingress. Clean store, free WiFi and drinks, water and juice. read more

I was very impressed with how quickly they serviced my car. It was done in twenty minutes as promised. One customer's car took a little longer and he was given a $10 discount without even asking for it. The staff was very friendly.
