Amazing specialist who know what they're doing. Went for an oil change; once you pull in, they have you get as close as they need your car to be and then approach to go over all the options for the oil change, making recommendations and such (based off the current state of your car) without making any kinds of up selling. You wait for their quick service, and if they catch something with your car that needs tending to, they WILL inform you and ask your permission first..after also informing you of the price! Very honest people, and are for the customers 100%. Best service I've ever had in having my oil changed! Yes, even after YEARS of my parents having made me, as a teen and woman change my own oil and maintenance checks, as a single mom on the go, not only was my car taken care of, but my son and I were treated like gold! Jon is a wonderful manager and he is extremely knowledgeable about the exact maintenance I need to regularly check between oil changes. Tyler greeted us, and I had expressed all of my concerns, along with needs and he was so sweet, kind, and helpful! He even came back in the office to inform me of a $3 difference! We have been taking our cars to Grease Monkey for several years now to take care of our regular oil changes, but this week the crew at GM went above & beyond. My son was driving down the highway that fronts this GM location when his clutch went out. The manager, Jon Janz, saw his car holding up traffic & ran across the street to check up on him, then summoned a posse of employees to come over, push the car to the GM location across several lanes of traffic & allowed us to keep the car there until we figured out where we were going to take it for service. Clutch replacement/repair isn't a service provided by Grease Monkey, but they provided us with the names/numbers of local shops they recommended & told us it was no problem to leave the car there overnight, if necessary, until we scheduled a tow. They've handled our oil changes & a brake job (little issue here, but they made it right as soon as they knew about it) - we're happy to continue to bring our business here. read more

For starters, I'm an idiot in regards to cars. I mention this because it means that if you tell me that my car needs something and I will just take your word for it. This has left me spending waaay more than I typically should on an oil change. I appreciated that they didn't try to upsell me on anything. I was able to get my oil changed (desperately needed) at a moment's notice and I thought they were quite nice! I hate when people try to get me to do the really fancy oil changes, but there wasn't any pressure here. I also had my engine light on and they offered to check it out for me. It ended up being my gas cap wasn't tight enough, and I really appreciated them going through the effort. They offer capri suns in the waiting room. WATCH OUT!!! These guys are grease balls, NOT grease monkeys! Went in for an oil change on my 1997 Maxima-not a car that you want to invest big money in, but it deserves fresh oil. IMMEDIATELY they try to up sell me with an air filter. I thought the one they were showing me was new, but it was mine. Then they wanted me to change out the transmission fluid. Finally they let me know that my rear brakes needed to be changed right away, and that they could do it while I wait. I declined, but made an appointment with my mechanic to do the job. He was booked out, so I didn't drive this car for 2 weeks. Finally it's time for my brakes to be replaced and my mechanic tells me that the rear brakes have 50% left on them, and the front brakes have 70%! No brake job needed. Grease Monkey Bothell is the worst nightmare for people that come in for a simple oil change and leave with a $600 bill! read more

Val-pak coupon for an oil change made me try this business. There is an advertised special on Brake Pad Replacement too. Hence, I also asked them to check on my front brakes. Advertised oil change price is for regular conventional oil only. I chose synthetic blend oil and the price came up very close to what I pay at the dealer. No real savings for me, there. I took their advice of replacing brake-pads and gave a nod to go ahead. They recommended changing rotors too, again I gave a nod. After sometime, the mechanic working on my car came back and mentioned I needed CALIPERS. Now, I was not sure, if the need was genuine or a routine up sell of related components. They showed that they cannot twist or turn something and calipers are a must at this point. Left with no other option, signed up for that one as well. When I drove-in, I expected the bill would be $50, ended up writing check for $600. No questions about the quality of work they have done. As I'm not equipped with sufficient knowledge related to automotive to judge them, I would give them the benefit of doubt. read more

Service was friendly, quick and professional. The price seemed a little steep $70 + but what are you ganna do? The waiting room is clean, had fresh coffee and my oil change was done pretty quickly. They suggested a new air filter (which i needed) so the price went up further but they honored the $9 coupon for checking in on yelp which was cool and brought the total price down a smidge. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I recently bought my car from a dealership and it's finally needed it's first oil change! The greeter told me they have to use synthetic oil which was $70 or elee it would void some sort of warrenty which sounded like utter BS to me. After calling my bf we decided to wait on it, came back the next week and was told something completely different! Regardless i got my oil changed, they pulled out my air filters and asked me if i would like to get new ones for $25 cause "debris" get caught in them, basically trying to upsale me. I'm not just a dumb mom who knows nothing about cars so i obviously turned them down cause my filters were still new! Less than a couple days later my heater was making a weird noises. Long story short took my car to the dealership cause it was still under warrenty, they checked it out and came to the conclusion that when grease monkey pulled out my air filter they must have dropped some of this "debris " down the shaft which got caught in the heater which is what was making weird noises. So thanks grease monkey for wasteing my time, and that of the techs at the dealers! Still unsure if this was unintentionally done cause i chose not to have the change my air filters. Oh and on top of everything my $45 oil change ended up being almost $60 because of some odd charges so yeah I'll be in soon to get my money back! read more

Something has happened to this place. I don't know. New management? The last few times I've gone in this year (in 3 different vehicles), something *always* goes wrong with the vehicle within a week. Charging for fluid replacements that (a) they said was included or (b) checking to find they actually didn't fill anything Super pushy sales trying to get you to buy air filters, windshield wipers or hire them for additional types of maintenance. Everything was great until I went to pay. My total for a basic oil change (good for up to 5,000 miles) was over $60, which was shocking to me. They had also tacked on a $5 'lower engine cover removal' charge that no one had informed me about. I drive a Ford Escape - nothing fancy. I felt that they should have known by looking at my car that there would be an extra fee and should have told me up front. The cashier refused to waive the fee. If I wasn't in a hurry, I would have asked to speak with a manager. Overall I felt very ripped off and deceived, and that's not the type of business I want to support. Even with the $9 yelp check-in discount, it was by far the most I have ever paid for an oil change. Find somewhere else to go! Basically, they don't do the work they charge you for. I had a full oil change a little more than a month ago and they said my radiator fluid was good down to -30 degrees. During last week's 18 degree weather, my heater core cracked and my floors are now extremely wet. I checked my radiator fluid myself and guest what, it is pure water. Come on! read more

I love this place. This is my second time here. First time was already impressive so I took my Audi A8 here today which I was turned away with from other places who were not able to replace the oil filter. Here there was no problem. The team does like a challenge and figured it out that the air filter assembly has to come out to get to the filter and they did an excellent job. Very competitive pricing, fast, clean. They do some basic checks for fluid and air pressure levels, clean windows and a few other things I can't remember. All for free and without any pressure up sales. I recently took my Toyota Tundra in for an oil, transfer case, and front & rear differential fluid change. A day later I discovered a leak in my driveway and returned to Grease Monkey to get it checked. The manager said it was a washer plug that needed to be replaced and it was taken care of. A week later I smelt burning oil coming from the engine. I opened up my front hood and discovered that the they had forgotten to put the oil filler cap back on. There was oil splatter all over the engine and I am not certain what the extent of the damage will be.... read more
