I am very grateful to have found Grateful Ted's Carpet and Tile Cleaning! I have two dogs, one is a rambunctious one-year old rescue "puppy". In addition to the usual puppy accidents, she ate an entire Razzleberry pie which had been cooling on the counter while we were away. Needless to say, our carpets were stained and stinky. I had little faith that they could be cleaned and deodorized to an acceptable degree ever again. I called Grateful Ted after reading all his 5-star reviews. He came for a tile grout cleaning and it went so well I immediately booked a service to have the grout sealed and to have some carpets cleaned, which also went well. Ted is an owner/operator one man show, you will not get a worker fresh off of a 1 day training program like how it is at many big companies. I have to say this THE best, most thorough cleaning I've ever had! I wish I had before and after pictures. I have 10-year-old cream colored carpets and have had numerous roommates and cats over the years. I have them professionally cleaned every 6 months but they were beginning to look pretty hopeless. I waited to write this review thinking the stains would come back like they usually do - but they haven't! Ted's equipment is really different than what I have ever seen - the vacuum head is smaller and can get into tight spaces and it uses this seriously powerful suction with hot water to PULL the dirt out. There were stains I had worked on many times that are gone! Ted gave all the high traffic areas extra love and then asked if I wanted my baseboards cleaned. Hell yes! They were covered with dust. He sprayed them down and quickly used the hose to suck up all the dirt that came off so not only did my baseboards get clean, but all along the edges of the carpet too. No one has ever offered this - I always end up with clean carpets and dirty edges. I also had Ted clean the tile in the kitchen. At first, it really didn't look any different and he explained how grout is mixed with cement and cement stains. About 2 hours after he left they looked brand new! The grout was just wet. Grateful Ted's came out today and cleaned my carpets. Ted did a great job! First we walked around and he showed me all the things on my carpet (for example, the accidents from my cat that I had suspected), and explained that he would have no problem taking care of them. He got straight to work. My carpets look TERRIFIC! They hadn't been cleaned in a very long time (I'm too embarrassed to admit the time!), and they now look healthy. Just recently purchased a new home (Brohn) and the builder did a poor job of cleaning before close date. I had small specs of paint throughout my lower floor tile and paint also in areas on the carpet upstairs. Ted came to my home the day I called for a quote, infact he was there within 2 hours. Ted did such a great job! We'd had our carpets done about 6 months ago by the cheapest company I could find on the internet... and no surprise, we weren't impressed. Ted was at our house for hours working hard! He did such a good job cleaning our couches (we have three pets and two kids so this is no small job lol)! He has this amazing deodorizing spray that really removed the dirty dog smell. He showed me the carpets after he'd done a little section and you could visibly see the difference. He also removed some stains from both the carpet and couch that I wasn't sure if he'd be able to get out. Not only did he do a great job on the carpets, he was kind and personable. (My kid spent about half an hour meowing at him and he was not deterred lol!) It also feels good to support a local company! Super reasonable prices, especially for the work he puts in.
