I strongly recommend Marlon, proprietor of Regal Handyman Repairs. I hired Marlon to retile my bathroom floor, along with the walls within the bathtub/shower area. I also had him install a glass tub enclosure/door to replace the shower curtain. Water leakage from somewhere in this bathroom had damaged a portion of my dining room wall, below. The job included repair and repainting of this wall, plus making certain that the leak source was discovered and stopped, whether from plumbing or faulty grout/caulk. From his first visit to assess the job and prepare an estimate, Marlon was courteous and thorough. He showed up every day, worked long hours by himself, and answered all my questions clearly. I am a new reviewer so I hope this gets posted. A couple weeks ago Marlon repaired damage to my chimney facade caused by acrobat (wood destroying) ants. It's as simple as this...I had a company come spray the ants, that same day I contacted 10 companies (all from yelp) to get a repair estimate. Marlon returned my call and came out within a couple hours. I told him I wanted to get a couple more estimates before I made a decision. That's just how I roll. I waited 3 days and no one else returned my call. I told Marlon the job was his. He came a second time to measure and get a paint sample in order to buy materials. He asked what day worked for ME, did not deviate from the original estimate, kept my gate closed so my dog wouldn't get out, cleaned up after himself and my chimney looks like nothing ever happened to it. My husband and I trusted Marlon with works on our very first house. He took away the old bathtub and surround of our 70s townhouse to replace them with a new bathtub and drywalls that enabled us to do the tiling work ourselves and installing a one handle faucet after he redid some piping + opened up two of the kitchen walls on the dining and living rooms before redoing all electical wiring and piping connections in those walls and painting them in a color and texture matching the existing one that didn't need to be changed, all this for a very reasonable price. Since he's got experience in the different aspects of home renovation, is very nice, prompt to respond demands and keep his prices as low as he can, we already called him again to fix a water leak below the kitchen sink and flip our entry door sides. After a buyer's inspection, Marlon helped us with several types of repairs on a house we were selling. We only had one-day to do all the work so that we could close on time and Marlon and crew really came through. From simple tasks to complicated duct work in the attic, they had it covered. Just like the other reviewers here, I found Marlon to be fantastic! He upgraded my master bathroom and did a great job. Our bathroom was very, very old so we upgraded everything. We were going to go with one of the big box stores but we felt like we were getting the run around so we called a few other places. Marlon was the first to respond and the first to come to our home for the estimate. His rate was far less expensive than the big box store. We ordered all the fixtures and, when everything was received Marlon started working. He has a wonderful work ethic. There was a minor problem with the finished product (small water leak that was not his fault). When we called he came by the same day and repaired the problem at no additional charge.
