It has been a few years since we have dined here and it did not disappoint. First of all, the ambiance was beautiful on the patio. Our waitress was excellent and the food was delicious. The artichoke flatbread was a great appetizer to share. I had the branzino which was perfectly prepared and my husband had the mushroom lasagna which was hearty and delicious. A nice touch is that if you order cocktails or a glass of wine they waive your corkage fee. I like this restaurant in the winter but love it in the summer. read more

Our waitress Katie and busboy Dillon were fantastic and made our dinner experience wonderful. The New York Steak was perfectly done. I shared some of the Bolognese Bianca and it was terrific! We brought our own bottle of wine and they mentioned that if we ordered a round of drinks they waive the corkage fee! That was a novel concept that we thought was great!!! read more

We chose Grappa for a special meal and while the food was great we left feeling very disappointed. This restaurant has the potential to offer the very best experience and I have no idea if we just had an 'off night' or if our experience is the norm (although I have now read some reviews similar to ours on other food sites). AMBIANCE & DECOR - Beautiful view over the snow and fairy lights from our corner window table. Lovely lighting, warm decor, fireplace, generous size tables. FOOD - DELICIOUS - The flavors and textures were subtle and exquisite. The lobster ravioli was divine and the Branzino fish was one of the nicest fish dishes I have ever had. We all agreed that the chef was excellent. SERVICE - DISAPPOINTING - RUSHED and made to feel UNWELCOME It started at the front desk. The woman on the desk seemed inexperienced and slow. While we waited another group arrived. When it was our turn to check in a lady from the newly arrived group barged past us and took our turn. The reservation desk lady ignored this rude behavior and spent ages checking her in while we waited patiently. It seemed like she knew her and was giving her special treatment while we were ignored. When our turn came she treated us brusquely said in a gruff dismissive voice, with no eye contact, 'take a seat and your names will be called when we are ready for you'. It felt anonymous and unwelcoming and like we were in line for motor vehicle registration.... not an expensive restaurant. When we were finally seated our waiter introduced herself and she appeared more professional and experienced than the two ladies on the front desk. She was technically capable, knowledgeable about the menu, adept at reaching into the difficult to access corner table and clearly knew how to do her job. She was polite although her demeanor appeared a bit fake and not genuine. It seemed like she was in a hurry to get home and we felt that she was trying to rush us out of there. She cleared some of the antipasti plates while others in our group were still eating and made those still eating feel like they were too slow. We had barely finished the last bite of antipasti when the entrees were delivered. I prefer to have a few minutes to savor and digest one course before having the next plate literally thrust in my face. Once again with the entrees, as soon as a plate was finished it was whisked away, constantly interrupting our conversation and again making us all feel rushed. She removed one plate while my friend was still eating, and indeed his knife and fork were positioned to indicate that he was still eating and most of the food remained on the plate. He physically grabbed it back from her and she apologized. However she then hovered waiting for him to finish and he said that this ruined his enjoyment of that plate. When we finished the entrees she asked if we would like dessert and she looked disappointed when we said yes - clearly she wanted us to finish. While we were still eating our desserts the bill arrived. Our waiter did not ask if we like tea or coffee or another drink. She just plonked the bill on the table while we were still eating. The message was loud and clear ... she may as well have shouted "HURRY UP AND LEAVE" I was shocked by the rudeness of this service! This is not the way customers should be treated in a fine dining restaurant. Initially we thought that they may have another reservation for our table. However the restaurant was half empty with many other tables available and it appeared that she simply wanted to leave early. We were in and out (with 3 courses) in just over an hour. The special occasion meal we had planned to linger over and savor did not allow for any lingering or for much relaxed conversation. It felt like being on a conveyor belt where we were pesky customers who needed to be shunted through quickly so that the doors could be closed. Such a shame for a great chef to be compromised by such terrible service. read more

It was super crowded and we waited for half an hour pass out reservation time. Food was good but nothing spectacular. Portion was pretty large though. read more

This is a three story house with a warm and charming feel located right on Main St. I thought the hostess and servers were top notch. We were seated at the third floor and greeted right away. Drinks were brought and ample space and time given. We order different item including the mushroom soup, a seafood pasta, a chicken with red sauce pasta and flat bread pizza and the salmon. The soup was the best ever creamy, pieces of mushroom and topped with a truffle oil. My salmon was very good but at $42 it should be. The side of onions and some small medley or vegetable was an after thought. They should improve that. The seafood pasta had a smoky flavor. I was not a fan but my husband is not as picky and ate most of it. The lobster on top was good. The flat bread was ok. Would not really recommend but it is the cheapest thing on the menu for the budget conscientious. The other chicken pasta was good says our friend. I would recommend it. read more

The atmosphere is very cozy (especially the patio during the summer), but the hostesses are snotty and inexperienced. The food is great (osso bucco is my go to) but VERY overpriced (as is the wine list). Many of the restaurants in Park City are pricey, as all ski-towns are, however, Grappa is not worth it. read more

The restaurant's ambiance is warm and friendly. We were immediately offered drinks and our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The Branzino was fantastic, not a bone to be found; the lobster ravioli was delicious; the mushroom soup delectable. The strawberry soda arrived with whip cream which was a bit of a surprise and probably should have been dessert. The focaccia served with dipping sauce also terrific. A wonderful meal. Easy parking right across the street. read more

Been in PC 48hrs and so far my dining and bar experiences have been sub par, Tupelo and Flanagans. After seeing alot of 3-3.5 star reviews I was beginning to think that was standard for PC, I was pleased to have a 5 star experience at Grappa and am wondering why it only has 3.5 on yelp. Everything was excellent, service ambiance, food, pricing and view. Really a great find, Thanks Grappa and our waiter Steven for a great dining experience in PC, will definitely be back and recommend Grappa to our friends and families read more

This was the worst overpriced food and service in Park City. Our party of 8 with 2 younger kids waited 15 mins for bread and water. Our waitress forgot to put in two appetizers and really could care less. She was getting her 20% so didnt bother. The signature osso bucco was fatty and underwhelming. When we pointed out our lack of appetizers to our server, she brought dessert which was as bad as the osso bucco. Skip this place as there are too many other fabulous, less expensive places to go! read more

Over rated and prices are ridiculous. I feel $25 for corkage is over the top. Food was fine but I felt not worth the cost.

I can't put my finger on exactly what is wrong with the food at Grappa. It seems like the chef makes attempts to take traditional Italian dishes and put some sort of fusion spin on them - I just can't figure out what the fusion is. I recently had the "lasagna." It was totally weird. It was spiral and had no sauce, was stuffed with mushrooms and then was drenched in some sort of broth. Our waiter kept telling me, "It sounds really strange, but it's the best thing on the menu," so I ordered it. It was flavorless and difficult to eat as there was no sauce or cheese to hold it together. And if that was the best thing on the menu, this restaurant is in serious trouble. Fortunately, my husband ordered the filet and it was to die for. I give Grappa 2 stars and not 1 because the ambiance is really lovely, but ti doesn't make up for the strange menu items or the high prices for flavorless food. read more

Great service but food was awful. Adding insult to injury was that everything was incredibly overpriced. That was our first and last time at Grappa. There's too many other great options on Main St to give it a second chance. read more

We arrived at Grappa after a busy, wonderful day seeing great films. When we arrived, we were told it was an $85 price dice menu- totally didn't want to spend that much money, but where could we go without a res tonight?! We stayed- terribly slow service combined with a ridiculously expensive menu! And the price fixe didn't include dessert! Huge disappointment! read more

Have been to Grappa a dozen+ times..it's heading downhill: overpriced, lukewarm food, poor/inattentive service & $25 corkage fee..you would think Bill White is going out of business and he could if this continues! read more

Nobody in their right mind would call Grappa's food terrible. It is consistently solid, sometimes extraordinary. But, tonight, the poor service and the mediocre food left me cold. It was local's night - Monday night - and the restaurant was packed. Clearly, they had not anticipated such a crowd as they were seriously understaffed. We ordered a bottle of nice wine and the waitress dropped it off without opening it, saying she would be right back. In the mean time, our salads were served. Mine came dripping in dressing when I ordered it on the side and we had to request the standard bread service. In general, not a great idea to get your salad before you even have your drinks. The correct salad took another ten minutes to arrive. My entree was the special pasta - linguine -style noodles with pesto and vegetables. There was very little pesto on the noodles and the vegetables were sparse. It felt like Grappa was "cheaping out" since it was locals night. To be fair, however, my husband truly enjoyed his mushroom lasagna. He would have enjoyed it more if they didn't try to rush us and take it away before he was finished. The chocolate mousse for dessert was solid. In general, the food and service felt rushed and half-hearted. Not the experience I expect from Grappa (or from a $200 meal). read more

We had a wonderful dinner at Grappa on our last night in Park City. Our meal was fantastic. Our server, Quincy was spot on with her recommendations for wine, dinner and dessert. We will definitely be back! read more

We had the absolute worst waiter TWICE in a row. Vowed to never eat at Grappa again. We will not. Have eaten here 10+ times and the last two were just horrible dining experiences. Food was great but the waiter was an absolute jerk. read more

Food was not up to expectations and very overpriced. I went with a group of 5; we all ordered different items and no one was impressed with the quality of food. The service and the wine list though was good. read more

Faux Italian. Overpriced and inauthentic. The antipasto was served with raisins, grapes and Brie cheese. The bolognese was bland. The Osso bucco was tasteless and overpriced. Wine samples cost 25 cents. The service was so quick it was like eating in a diner. Won't be back or recommending to friends and family. read more

We had an awful dining experience at Grappa last week. The service was very poor and the value for what you get is not worth it. It took our waiter 20 minutes to approach our table and another 25 minutes for him to deliver our martinis (I could see them sitting on the bar.) The burrata fondue is not a fondue at all, seeing as how it had no cheese, just tomato sauce. After seeing all of the other tables with a bread basket, I inquired about bread. Our waiter delivered it after our entrees came. Pasta entrees were good but not enough to redeem the awful service. $160 meal for two left me very disappointed and wishing I had spent my time and money at any of the other great Park City restaurants. Grappa used to be the best restaurant experience in Park City but is has seriously gone downhill over the years. Spend your money at any other place on Main Street for better service, better food, and a better value. read more

Food was great but the waiter thought we wouldn't review the check carefully (we were a party of seven with a decent bar bill) so he tacked on an extra $100 in bar charges. Go and enjoy but beware when the check comes. read more

I want to first mention that this restaurant is not closed. This is my first review on yelp. I read the reviews often. I felt I needed to write one about grappa. Our party of six was looking forward to an Italian dinner at Grappa. The setting was comfort and the decor was very warm. We had a a 600.00 dinner we all left hungry and very disappointed. We ordered the chicken piccata which was chicken Parmesan without the sauce, but the noodles were good. The pork and the risotto were flavorless. the most disappointing meal was the cannelloni. This was prepared like a deep fried taquito. The server took this meal off the bill because it was hardly eaten. We liked the server at first, but we were disappointed that he didn't ask any of us about our half eaten meals. He obviously could see that none of us enjoyed them. We had reservations for a sister restaurant tonight but cancelled due to our bad experience. read more

Way overpriced and very underwhelmed. Great atmosphere, but they gouge you for mediocre food. I've had better at Olive Garden. Flavorless lasagna in some odd mushroom broth, dessert was a sliver of tiramisu and they charged twenty five dollars for the corkage fee on a bottle of wine that we brought in. We split a salad and dessert, each had an entree, coffee and got dinged for 150. Had much better and paid much less. The menu on line was not the prices on the menu handed to me. Great server and view, but eat elsewhere. Won't be back. read more

Went here on a Saturday night. It's a pricey place, so don't go very often; but I found a 2 for 1 coupon in the local paper, so we went. Food was wonderful; Service was great! Cheapest bottle of wine was $36. Entree's were $30 to $45 or so (don't believe the internet that showed all entree's were $27) I wish we could go more often. Highly Recommended. read more

Recently we visited Park City, Utah from San Diego, Ca. and made the rounds of Bill White restaurants which we recommend. However, Grappa is the oldest and still the flagship in our book. The romantic interior and truly delicious food still amaze us after so many years of enjoying this restaurant. We asked the waiter for a wine selection and he brought a reasonably priced wine that was the perfect pairing for the fish we had selected. The staff gave great service with so sense of being rushed. The timing of the courses spoke volumes about the professional approach to dining that characterizes Grappa. STELLAR! read more

We just finished dinner on New Year's Eve. The food was excellent but I was never so rushed at a restaurant especially not for a holiday meal. Bill White has 5 high end restaurants in Park City. He has built quite the reputation over the years. It's time to assess the product. The ambiance of a French country home is great. We waited 30 minutes for our wine. Actually the waiter came to our table to take our food order and didn't nonrealize we didn't have it. I asked for the wine, after I asked for the bread. The Caesar salads were tasteless. My horseradish encrusted salmon came out over cooked, then it came out raw the second time. This was a $43 entree!! The other two entrees were very good...Osso Busco and boulognese. Naturally my entree was free and there was a peace offering of dessert. We won't go back when the entrees range from $50 to $43. What makes this story worse is the last two times at Bill White's Wahso restaurant have not been good either. It is only recent that these bad experiences have occurred. Goodbye Bill White. read more

Enjoyed our dinner at Grappa....food yummy service really great. HOWEVER......one spoiler........couldn't help noticing place is dirty.......dusty chandeliers, tapestries ,carpet....the holiday decorations would be ok if they were fluffed up a bit. They looks as though they had been taken out of storage and with little thought or care just tossed up. Busy season just starting....you would think a deep clean would have been done in advance. Won't go back until place is spruced up. Do not care to look at dirt while dinning. read more

I'm from Chicago so maybe my standards are a bit high when it comes to dining out. However, this was the most mediocre meal I have ever had. I am not offended by high priced menu items but what this establishment tries to pass off as high quality is laughable. Is it possible that we didn't order the right things? Could it be that we dined on a Thursday? Maybe the problem was that we arrived on the tail end of one of those diner caravans that hit the 8 restaurants in P.C. It was obvious that the group was drinking more dinner than eating- not that there's anything wrong with that! But maybe standards were lowered?? I can only hope that something went wrong that night. Menu is limited and don't even think of altering an item...you don't want mushrooms on that- too bad... you don't like olives- oh well. Also, I would like someone to explain to the kitchen that onions are not a food group! You can't serve a 6 oz. salmon filet on a bed of half cooked onions and believe that you deserve $38. Onions overpowered the pasta as well. I never had anything against onions until Grappa. The only reason for the second star is because our service was wonderful! Our server was warm, inviting and very professional. The host was very welcoming also. If I ever find myself at Grappa again for some crazy reason, I guess I'll suck it up, open my wallet and get the $52 piece of meat. Sadly, the only thing high end about Grappa are its prices. Truly a disappointing evening for all. The walk to the car was like a walk of shame without the hangover. I felt violated. For me.... "Grappa is Crappa" read more

We had a very attentive server, food was excellent... Duck confit risotto was delicious. The homemade cookies dessert wasn't worth it.

I dined at Grappa last night with a fairly large corporate group. My meal, Osso Bucco, was delicious but my experience was marred by the temperature of the restaurant and the indifference and inattention of the waitstaff. Our group was seated inside on the top floor and it was hot! When my husband asked our server if something could be done about the temperature she responded, "Go to a restaurant with air conditioning." I understand that air conditioning isn't common in Park City, but some windows could have been opened for some cross ventilation. Once our meals were served, our server disappeared and water was non existent at our table. I couldn't wait until the meal was over so I could leave the restaurant and escape to the cooler outside air. read more

Beyond disappointing. Although highly touted by local 5 star hotels, Grappa could not have been more overrated. The seating is abysmal, unless you are a group of 10+. So, those of you going with 2, 3, or 4, you will find you are placed near several groups of large groups. As a result, you will not have the type of experience where you can hear each other talk, and you will be trying to share conversation over the loud groups near by. We could not eat fast enough and get out of there the other night, and we had already asked to have a different table, so they placed us in exactly the same environment with second table--there was no where to go to escape the noise. Food--one meal was divine; mine was substandard. It was one of their two fish specials and if my total weight of red snapper was 2 oz. I would be surprised. When leaving, I saw other snapper plates waiting to be served, they were larger and maybe 4 oz. of snapper managed to make it to the plate. Thumbs down, and we will not even consider giving it a second chance. read more
