I just discovered ACE when I went in to purchase dirt that was on sale. I absolutely love this hardware store. There is a little bit of everything here from nuts and bolts ,garden supplies,housewares, BBQ items. soap and lotion and the best beef jerky. Everyone in the store is super helpful and they are definitely a community based retailer. The APP is a great tool but sometimes I like to go in and just wander around. Each Ace Hardware is owned by a person who needs a fat profit margin so they always cost more than Home Depot but they are convenient so if you're absolutely stuck and you need like one part, maybe go to Ace otherwise make the extra drive and save the money read more

Very good selection for a small store. Prices are generally higher than Home Depot or Lowes but the drive is much shorter. For buying a lot of items they do a better job than the big stores. Like fasteners and similar - you can buy them individually and the selection is actually better than the big stores. We just bought an electric chainsaw on sale and they were the cheapest. The staff is very helpful and you don't have to look around for 15 minutes. read more

My local store. Staff is super helpful/knowledgable (more than the orange store), and they usually have what I need in stock. It's often cheaper to buy from the orange or blue stores, or online. But I will make a point to buy here because neighborhood hardware stores are important. read more

This location 10 miles from my home but was closest one that website showed it had item I wanted in stock. I placed order and got confirmation. Went next day to pick up but was told item was being sent from another store and hadn't arrived yet. Just before I got home got call that item had just arrived. I like to support local businesses but told them - No thanks. Went on line and purchased with free delivery for same price. When I called ACE customer service was told the could not check my order and would have to call .com department. Have Ace store less than a mile from my house and have spent over $900 at that store in first 6 months of this year. Will not shop Ace again. read more

I first visited this hardware store in November to buy some magical goo that could remove wallpaper. (I know! Wallpaper!!) The staff was really helpful and what I remember most is that they have a TON of other cool stuff. Lawn décor, holiday décor, anything you could want to make your casa a bit more comfortable. My second trip was just the other day (11 months later) to return the very same items I had purchased....tacky? Perhaps, but I had forgot that I bought these items and upon move out of the "wallpaper house" I had never used them. There they sat unopened and right next to their friend, the receipt. I called the store and a nice gentleman told me "as long as you have the receipt, we will take it back" I know this alone does not a dream store make, BUT I think in this day and age, the small town customer service they gave me was a nice change! Again, on my visit I found a plethora of fun and exciting items. Halloween items on sale, cookware, garden hoses. I will be coming back again for certain items I may have otherwise got at Wal-Mart or the like-things such as topsoil and tools that will bring me in but the service will keep me coming back in! thanks ACE! The Ace Hardware is a really friendly shop. Whenever I am there, I am always approached by MULTIPLE employees who are more than happy to show me where all the things I need are located. The store is really neat and orderly. The ladies restroom is clean! However, I have recently discovered that the light bulbs at Lowe's is much much cheaper. We did get a wonderful deal at Aces for an air compressor. Make sure you shop around and get good prices! read more

What can I say other than why would anyone ever go to a big box hardware store when there is an ACE in town? To say I love the ACE in Granite Bay is an understatement. They run a tight ship with among the best customer service I have ever experienced --- anywhere! Initially, I thought the phenomenal service was just by chance, but then I caught the cashier whispering into a headset that a customer was headed over to a specific aisle and to provide assistance. I can find virtually everything I need in a fraction of the time it takes at Home Depot or Lowe's. And in the off chance they don't stock it, they are more than happy to order it for you quickly. The service, attention to detail and value are worth the visit. Do yourself a favor and make a trip to the ACE and discover what you've been missing at Home Depot and Lowe's. read more

I love this place! When I walk in, the help virtually run up to me and ask if I need anything. Also, the place has a fantastic selection of stuff. I love the nut and bolt section of the store. I highly suggest this store for the novice do-it yourself person. Forget the big box no service hardware stores. This store is the place to go. My only complaint is that the store does not accept a debit card w/out a Visa or MasterCard stamped on the card. read more

Although Ace Hardware's are smaller than the big box stores, the customer service cannot be beat! I have always been able to find a representative to answer questions, locate products on shelves or a particular part that is needed. Service and access to people is about as good as one can get. They have what I am looking for 90% of time and very convenient. I'd rather pay more and be out the door than to have to drive across town to big box stores and have no help. ACE often has what Home Depot and Lowes does not. And vice versa. For unique and small hardware....go to ACE. For big building projects, go to Home Depot,...for Decor go to Lowes. Have never been to a more helpful hardware store. They even greet you when you come in the door. Won't get that at Home Depot or Lowes. Are always willing to answer your questions. They always have specials going on and will save you money. Get an ace card to save even more. Easy parking here and there is a Dutch Bros coffee and donut shop in the same parking lot. John in Paint Department was outstanding! I struggled getting the right color for a dining room and took him two samples. With his knowledge he got the perfect color match for me and it was so fun working with him. I learned so much from him and this is my 4th renovation. I have to be honest. I only come here when I am in the area or I need a real hardware guy to describe a problem to fix. I came by the store the other day to pick up some rescreened patio sliders and needed to take care of some other stuff. The floor employee (and dear sir, I am sorry. Im terrible with names.) Professional, confident, skilled, and showed me to exactly what I needed for my "little Manhattan" home project. Im now a fan!! Funny, I had to visit Home Depot later that night for a product and it was empty and I couldn't find any help, except the Solar City Guy in the main aisle trying to sell me Solar to increase his monthly sales income. Came in here to pick up a few random things a couple weeks ago and all the employees were super helpful and were able to direct me to exactly what I needed to find very efficient staff a little on the higher price end but then again its a smaller store then say Home Depot or Lowes . The layout of this store isn't doing it any favors and often I find myself unable to find what I came in for. Customer service tries as best they can but it can be either really good or not there at all.
