Brunch + HomeGoods = retail therapy with a side of serotonin My best friend and I have a post-brunch tradition that we take very seriously: a trip to HomeGoods. It helps us walk off the food (kind of), and let's be real, who doesn't love the thrill of a fantastic HomeGoods find? This location is one of our favorites. It's big, clean, well stocked, and has a great mix of items, some reasonably priced, some a little "really??" but that's part of the adventure. The fun is in the hunt, and when you do find that perfect piece? Instant serotonin. Do we always need the stuff? Absolutely not. Does that stop us? Not even a little. Quick backstory for context: my best friend of 30 years and I have always had a thing, she's all about strawberries, I'm all about cherries. Finding anything with both (that isn't hideous) is a rare miracle. So imagine our joy when we stumbled upon a 2-pack of pool innertubes, one strawberry, one cherry. It was fate. We were practically squealing in the aisle! Every time we visit this store, we leave with something great, sometimes practical, sometimes just joyful. The staff is friendly and welcoming (shoutout to the cashier who admired our innertube find, we see you!). I'll absolutely be back! Especially since I've got a few rooms to redecorate soon. And you better believe this is where I'll be kicking off the makeover journey.

Love their pretty boxes. Looking for something to put my wedding cards into.

Such a fun place to shop and walk around looking at all of there items. So many things to see need to take your time. Never know what you might find.

Highly recommend this place to shop all things for Home Decors & Furnitures. HomeGoods is a godsend just like Hobby Lobby. Ahhhhh!!!! I literally spent almost 2hrs just browsing and second decisioning myself if I "need" it or if I "want" it that bad. Ahhhh! This is the worse decision skills I've ever encounter vs if I need to get gas or nahhhh! LMFAO! Pros: -Friendly Staff/Manager -Lots of variety on home decor/furniture/rugs/snacks -Lots of clearance items -You have the option of "pay" to hold if you are having doubts if furniture will/might fit at your home. -Trucks comes once a week to replenish what needs replenishing Cons: -No Military Discount, since it's already a discounted store. -Store Credit Card isn't worth it, if you plan having your first credit 'store' card. APR is above 30%, YIIIIIKES! Not worth to save a one time 10% off your whole purchase. Lol. Now the question is, will I be back? One hundred percent I shall be back... way better than Marshall's or TJ Maxx in terms of variety of what HomeGoods has to offer even though they fall in the same in umbrella corporations. Just the down side, HomeGoods doesn't offer clothing retail, just all things related to your home for decor. Namm sayinn... anyways, happy hunting for the best deals yelpers!!!!! Don't forget to check the clearance rack, it sure is worth the browse for your wants and possibly needs yo. Okayyy byeeeeee... :)

The staff has always been friendly and ready to help us with any questions we have, and they even have shopping carts at the front of the store! For those who have never been to an antique store before, it's set up into dozens of little square 3-walled rooms. Each one of those sections is usually ran by a vendor who is setting up their own stuff on consignment, and in charge of their own pricing. Because of that, prices are very volatile here. There was a vendor who was selling antiques for only a few dollars because he had so much and just wanted it all gone, while others are selling things for way more than they're worth (I'm looking at you vinyl vendors). I used to appraise records and one common mistake people make is they look up the record and assume the expensive one they see online is the exact same one they have. Only issue is that the value is determined by the pressing and they're looking at a rare one, not the one they have. There was a Star Wars record that goes for $200 online if it was original pressing. In Antique Trove is was being sold for $200, but it wasn't the original pressing and was warped. Nobody is paying for that. So prices can be dirt cheap or insanely overpriced depending on who the vendor is. What I can say about the inventory though is that all these vendors have such different products. Some are only selling vinyl, others had antique guns, furniture, masks, lamps, clothes, etc. It's easy to find something you'll enjoy. It does take a while to be rung up, because they have to manually input everything and record which vendor the items you bought are from, but the staff is friendly while doing it. Just don't expect them ring you up as fast as other retailers. My biggest gripe with antique trove is the back of it. Outside is a big backyard full of products that just feel...neglected. We've found some cool stuff that is covered in webs that are months old. How do I know they're months old? It's because we come here every few months and the same webs are out there. It's always the same exact products out there with the exception of a couple selling or a few more being added, but 99% of the inventory stays the same outside. It feels like a graveyard where those products go to die. I always feel sad walking around out there. On the bright side though, there is a vending machine right next to the door and I always grab myself a snack because I'm starving with how many hours we spend inside. The 3 giants of antique and thrift stores nearby would be Midway Antiques, Antique Trove, and Stardust Vintage Emporium. With Midway having closed a couple years ago, Antique Trove and Stardust are the two I visit the most. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Each space is curated by different sellers and has its own vibe and selection of items. Depending on what you're looking for you'll be able to browse and search through the spaces for hidden treasures. The prices range and you'll be able to find some similar pieces from different sellers at different prices. There's even an outdoor area that has signs, decorations and more. I ended up finding some beanie babies that I used to have as a kid for a good price and went home with three of them. While we were browsing the staff kept offering us baskets to carry the items we found, although some of the spaces were very close quarters and I decided it was easier to carry items instead of using the basket. You'll want to be careful not to knock anything down and to take a good look in each area so you don't miss anything.

It's in a fantastic location in Old Town Auburn -- close to parking and other cute shops and good restaurants. It's within 5 minutes of 80. The owners are very knowledgeable, friendly and customer focused. You always get a greeting, an offer of help and great advice on painting projects or gift items fresh from a buying trip. And it's also a Fusion mineral paint distributor with a great selection in-store, plus the option to purchase online. To help you learn how to get the most from your furniture paint purchase, they offer classes in the back of their beautiful store. I took a Painting 101 class with Mary, the owner, and she was a terrific teacher. Here's what I loved: FAIR PRICING: I had been looking for a class and saw them offered at $65 to $95, so her fee of $75 was very competitive. The difference was that I could use the class to paint my own item, if I liked, rather than just try techniques on wood boards, as some do. All supplies were included in the 3-hour class. APPROACHABLE STYLE: Answered questions patiently and thoroughly, demonstrated techniques and tricks, and offered advice while STILL asking your personal project preferences on color, wax use, distress level, etc. She was generous with her time and expertise -- which just makes me want to give her more business. This is exactly the kind of local, small business that you want to see thrive. It's a go-to stop for me -- whether shopping for a gift or doing a painting project.

A good portion of the store is dedicated to these specialty items right now. I did a quick loop and grabbed some World Market brand olives (they're great) along with some seasonal candies to use as small presents since I don't always get the chance to shop without my significant other. I decided not to go overboard this visit and went to the checkout. It was a Tuesday afternoon, but I think they must not have had enough employees in for the day because there was one poor employee at the register with a line of people. It looks like they have capacity for six check out stations but only had the one open. I ended up spending more time in line than I did shopping and made the mistake of picking up a couple more items near the checkout line without having a basket to hold them.
