I've seen Antique Trove many times, driving east on 80, usually heading to some other type of adventure. I finally had a chance to stop in and wow, it is impressive! It's hands down the best antique store I've visited in both the bay and Sacramento areas. It is packed with unique finds and well laid out with named aisles. Almost the entire back wall is filled with a mid century modern vendor. The selection of color glass, kitschy housewares and unique art blew me away. The prices were really reasonable and some vendors had some sales and markdowns. They make it clear which vendors will accept offers. Staff was available though out the floor to assist. That is smart, as this place is the size of a small grocery store. Visiting Antique Trove is an experience for sure. There are restrooms up front, a good size patio outside with additional items for sale and just a ton of treasures to browse through. I spent about an hour there and could have easily spent more had I not been late for lunch and hangry. That's another thing-don't come hungry thinking it's a quick trip-you'll be there a while! Lots of parking and easily found off the freeway, Antitque Trove is a must stop for anyone interested in vintage shopping. read more

We had so much fun exploring Antique Trove. There's plenty of parking available and stepping inside the building is like wandering through a museum with time capsules that (for a price) you can take home with you. Each space is curated by different sellers and has its own vibe and selection of items. Depending on what you're looking for you'll be able to browse and search through the spaces for hidden treasures. The prices range and you'll be able to find some similar pieces from different sellers at different prices. There's even an outdoor area that has signs, decorations and more. I ended up finding some beanie babies that I used to have as a kid for a good price and went home with three of them. While we were browsing the staff kept offering us baskets to carry the items we found, although some of the spaces were very close quarters and I decided it was easier to carry items instead of using the basket. You'll want to be careful not to knock anything down and to take a good look in each area so you don't miss anything. read more

This shop is amazing in its size and variety. Some of the sellers have priced their wares fairly and others, well, they're kinda crazy. They do have staff that wanders the floor in case you have questions. We did find a couple of crystal items that we liked and that were priced extremely well. When we were paying for the two items we expressed concern about getting them home safely (had to fly home). The cashier assured us it wasn't a problem and then wrapped them extremely well in bubble wrap. read more

I've been coming to antique trove for years with my mom and other friends, and I'm very happy every time I visit. It usually takes us about 3 hours to walk through the entire store. The staff has always been friendly and ready to help us with any questions we have, and they even have shopping carts at the front of the store! For those who have never been to an antique store before, it's set up into dozens of little square 3-walled rooms. Each one of those sections is usually ran by a vendor who is setting up their own stuff on consignment, and in charge of their own pricing. Because of that, prices are very volatile here. There was a vendor who was selling antiques for only a few dollars because he had so much and just wanted it all gone, while others are selling things for way more than they're worth (I'm looking at you vinyl vendors). I used to appraise records and one common mistake people make is they look up the record and assume the expensive one they see online is the exact same one they have. Only issue is that the value is determined by the pressing and they're looking at a rare one, not the one they have. There was a Star Wars record that goes for $200 online if it was original pressing. In Antique Trove is was being sold for $200, but it wasn't the original pressing and was warped. Nobody is paying for that. So prices can be dirt cheap or insanely overpriced depending on who the vendor is. What I can say about the inventory though is that all these vendors have such different products. Some are only selling vinyl, others had antique guns, furniture, masks, lamps, clothes, etc. It's easy to find something you'll enjoy. It does take a while to be rung up, because they have to manually input everything and record which vendor the items you bought are from, but the staff is friendly while doing it. Just don't expect them ring you up as fast as other retailers. My biggest gripe with antique trove is the back of it. Outside is a big backyard full of products that just feel...neglected. We've found some cool stuff that is covered in webs that are months old. How do I know they're months old? It's because we come here every few months and the same webs are out there. It's always the same exact products out there with the exception of a couple selling or a few more being added, but 99% of the inventory stays the same outside. It feels like a graveyard where those products go to die. I always feel sad walking around out there. On the bright side though, there is a vending machine right next to the door and I always grab myself a snack because I'm starving with how many hours we spend inside. The 3 giants of antique and thrift stores nearby would be Midway Antiques, Antique Trove, and Stardust Vintage Emporium. With Midway having closed a couple years ago, Antique Trove and Stardust are the two I visit the most. I highly recommend checking this place out. read more

Found an IKEA lamp for $300, a plastic "Tiffany" light that I bought from Home Depot for $140 (I bought it for $40 new) .... There's lots to look at but there are a lot of fake antiques and/ot people charging about twice what items are actually worth. read more

Spent the afternoon meandering thru the antique. The booths are stocked with seasonal things for Halloween and autumn decor; as well as loads of antiques, of course! But this time I was looking for spring bunnies ; the hydrangea petal rabbits which I knew was a long shot this time of year. I saw the Halloween/harvest Joe Spencer pumpkin heads which I may decide to go back and buy. The outside garden things looked a bit worn and rusted and felt they were a bit overpriced when you did find the price tag. So many were faded from the elements. The staff was friendly. read more

This is one the largest and my favorite antique stores in the Sacramento area. There's lots of free, unlimited parking in the large parking lot out front. The Antique Trove is a local business that's been here for years, dozens of vendors, and lots of space. Walking in can be overwhelming, but you're sure to find something from jewelry to toys to clothes to dishes to furniture amongst all the treasures! There's even more vendors in the back, outdoor patio. From what I saw, I'm not sure if there are changing rooms to try on clothes, but there are bathrooms. If you are interested in an item locked up in a booth, you'll need to find an employee to open for you but the service has always been friendly and easy to find walking down the aisles. I moved to Sacramento with almost no furniture and decided to try here before a place like IKEA. I am so glad I did! This place is HUGE and there is so much selection of furniture sprinkled throughout. I was able to get a beautiful dresser for under 300 dollars, along with a beautiful nightstand, and gorgeous sewing table. The staff is helpful and they load it for you (if you sign a waiver! Just happened by this place while In the area. Lots of Stalls, Good selection, very well organized for the most part, clean, most everything had a price Tag on it which is appreciated. The prices here were very high up to unreasonable. A plastic dollar tree type skull listed for $33.00 dollars in one stall. I do Understand pricing at vintage/antique malls But many items were over priced and just as many outrageously over priced. We did research on many of The Items and found our assessment was correct. Not every stall Was like this but unfortunately the majority were. If an item interested you and you wanted to make an offer they did not accept that unless The item was priced over a certain amount. This isn't the first time I bought something from the antiques trove which was packaged and labeled wrong. I bought a queen duvet from dealer 802 and when I brought it home it was barely a twin size. Ow I'm stuck with a $25 duvet that I can't use - beware buyers - if something is neatly tied in a ribbon you need to INSIST that you open it and look for yourself. It's going to be hard to say this because I enjoyed walking the aisles of antiques trove but because of dealer 802 I won't be back. read more

Last time I was there she was very rude and she made me feel uncomfortable for looking around. I love this store. I'm not a big collector of antiques, but I do enjoy finding the occasional great piece that I simply MUST have. This is a consignment shop. The sellers have already done the footwork & found the wares, so you're going to pay more for them. As someone who doesn't have the time nor inclination to scour any and all garage sales & thrift stores hoping to find The One Cool Thing, I don't mind the slightly higher price tag. And the markups aren't huge. I like knowing the seller has already checked for dings, cracks, and chips before offering it up for sale. They are putting up items in great condition! It can be overwhelming to shop here due to the amount of stuff so maybe come in, go get lunch, then come back. LOL. Some of the sellers will take deals, but not all. Some are FIRM in their pricing, so if you are told by a staffer that someone won't haggle, accept it and move on. They know who will make deals & who won't. I DO wish they would turn the music DOWN in here. It's SO loud. It varies--love songs from the 70's, yacht rock, etc., but I don't want it blasting in my ears while I shop. The other day they were cranking out Afternoon Delight by Starland Vocal Band. *shudder* I'd rather listen to my own thoughts, thanks. Service here is helpful & friendly. Over the weekend I found something I've been looking for a very long time and as I carried it, someone offered to take it to the register. YES, please!! This is by far the best antique mall in the Sacramento area. I spent nearly 4 hours here to make sure I got see everything, including the awesome outdoor area too. The staff helped me numerous times to get items out of cases or to help me get a price worked out with a booth vendor. Every interaction I had with their staff was friendly and helpful. It's worth the trip for sure. This is the largest antique mall I've ever seen. It's clean, well lit, easy to navigate. They have lots of very helpful employees roaming about to assist. 5 stars because it is well organized and clean. This antique store is really big. There is a really big outdoor area in the back as well. I was looking for a concrete bird bath and pyrex. Found a couple of bird baths but they were cracked and had seen better days. Found 2 sellers that had loads of pyrex in every style and color. All great quality. Lucky for me I'm pretty thrifty so I couldn't see paying the inflated prices for a couple of items I wanted. Not like I need them. I really didn't see any deals, so to speak. This place has the worst employees ever!! Me and my friends just came into this store and we were just looking around and checking out the stuff they had (possibly buying). We didn't break anything, we were responsible of what we touched. We also were checking out the furniture and everything was going well. Some lady told us to get up from the furniture and we kindly said sorry and got off, even though there was no sign whatsoever anything about "no sitting". Some old man (possibly employee) was following after us for a good amount of time and some other old man with a checkered shirt (possibly manager) came up to us and saying that we were horsing around and that he was planning on calling the cops. We took a day trip to Sacramento and when we were talking to one of the locals, they mentioned that this antique store was the best. We decided to make the 15 minute trip out to Roseville, not really sure what to expect. Im so glad we did!! This was the best antique shop we've ever been to. like others have said, it's pretty big so plan to be there an 1.5 to 2 hours or more. There is something here for everyone.
