My daughter has recently gotten me into "thrifting." It's something fun to do as a mother/daughter bonding experience! She told me about this spot so I checked it out. Like the name of this store says, everything is a dollar. You can't get anything for a dollar these days. Not even things at the Dollar Store! Honestly I don't know how these people make money. The first time I came here I found some brand new white denim pants with the price tags on it for, you guessed it, a dollar. The last trip I found some nice work from home pants in excellent condition. I'm going to start donating here, even though it isn't a tax write off. This is definitely not your average thrift store. Family owned and they take pride in their business! Super clean, smells so good, organization is incredible, great music and positive vibes. They have an expensive weekly prize if you spend $25 or more :) Parking is always available. Unbelievable value $1 for everything. Great place for thrifting on a budget! Dollar Thrift is always accepting donations, so there's always new stuff coming in. When I visited, there was a mountain of bags to be sorted through and hung up. The shop itself is on the smaller side, but I was able to leave with pants, shorts, jewelry, and picture frames. For every 10 items you donate, you get store credit, which I think is an awesome system. I look forward to dropping off some clothes and picking up so new ones. There are no dressing rooms but if something doesn't fit, it was only $1! And you can bring it back to redonate. read more

I have to say this is the best thrift store! I have been a customer for a year now. After being recommended by yelp, I had to give it a try being the avid thrift shopper that I am. It is by far, the best place to thrift shop in the area. Everything is $1! No joke. It beats all the other thrift stores, hands down! They do a great job at filling in the floor with new items as you shop so if you circle around again, you'll find a few more new items. Just a little bit disappointed I drove the extra miles to donate my clothes to support a small business only to be told they can't take half of my donations... I called before I drove over to make sure it was ok and was told it was fine. Had to drop off rest to goodwill but probably won't be doing that again. read more

Me and my boyfriend have become regulars after seeing a video of this shop on tiktok, lived in Sacramento for a few years and never heard of it until then, I have to say it is one of my absolute favorite places to shop. So many hidden gems in the store, everyday throughout the day they put more clothing out, for myself I've found multiple vans shoes and shirts, a beautiful y2k Bebe dress, a sick Metallica t shirt, lots of Nike, American eagle, guess and coach heels, multiple purses, bass pro hats, I can go on and on. You could go to the mall and buy a vans shirt for $40, or you can buy a whole new wardrobe here and support your community, the two lovely women running this store. Saw this place on my TikTok and I'm only in Davis so it wasn't too far of a drive. I honestly was sure I wasn't going to find anything and the whole $1 idea wasn't real. With thrift stores now a days some people scam and overprice. But once I got their,everything really was a $1! The workers were super nice and happy to see customers. Yes, they don't do dressing rooms which is a slight bummer but they have mirrors. If you put clothes up to your chest and look at the size you can tell what will fit and what won't. The product: This place is such a hidden gem! In a time when thrift stores are capitalizing on their trendiness and drastically increasing prices on items donated to them, Dollar Thrift remains accessible to all. I've had so much luck with vintage items here, too- stuff that'd otherwise cost $$$. Make sure you dig through all the crevices; you never know what treasures await! The staff: The owner is really engaging and kind, and goes out of her way to welcome all patrons. The other staff member is also very kind and helpful, too. I've not yet met anyone other than them, but, if anyone else works there, I'm sure they're also wonderful. Extra recommendation: Definitely pay attention to the daily specials. I looked up this place on Google and was surprised at the positive reviews. I assumed the whole $1 everything was too good to be true. I go in with my mom and we are greeted by the employees and even some customers. This place has the same vibe as hanging out with friends. While the age difference between me and everyone else was clear, I never felt like I wasn't included and noticed. There is something in the store for everyone.
