I find treasure every time! The prices are awesome, especially compared to goodwill. They have vintage NWT Coach bags in perfect condition! MCM furniture for a steal! Staff are the best and always friendly. Also a bonus is they are a non profit so when I drop off my donations I get a receipt for my taxes. I just pull around back and they unload my car. I don't even have to get out. They're not ultra picky like goodwill either. They don't turn you away for a lightbulb or a bottle of lotion. They take it and are grateful! My sister and I shopped with this store. She left to put one of the items in the car and the attendant changed the price on an item to a higher price from what it was originally. Why are you charging 12% sales tax? Carmichael's total sales tax rate is 7.75%. You don't write down the tax on your receipt. I had to do the math. And yes, I did include the $1 service fee for using credit/debit, which is actually prohibited by Visa/Mastercard. Considering you are a run by a non-profit, (The Free Will Foundation) I doubt you are paying the sales tax you are collecting. So shoppers, if you think you are getting a nice deal, please look at your receipt and notice that you are paying more than you should. read more

My fiancé and I were regular customers here for over a year, shopping weekly and donating several times. We consistently supported this store and usually had positive interactions. On December 23rd, my fiancé brought a cast-iron pot to the counter because it had no tag and simply asked about the price. The employee working that day accused him of removing the tag himself, claimed he had done this before, and said he had been a problem in the past. This was completely false. When my fiancé calmly tried to explain that there must be some confusion, he was asked to leave. Being accused of dishonesty without evidence was upsetting and unacceptable, especially after being loyal customers who supported the store with both purchases and donations. Businesses should value their customers and treat them with basic respect and fairness. Because of this experience, we no longer feel comfortable shopping here, which is a huge bummer. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses how customers are treated. (I never leave reviews) read more

Respectfully, if you have a mother and 5 year old shopping in your store that urgently asks to use the bathoom, please don't deny them. Especially considering we've been to this thrift store in the past and I've personally used the bathroom before (with permission) even though it was "employee's only" but this time we had to urgently drop our shopping trip to rush home for a bathroom elsewhere because the cashier said too many customers have made issues in the bathroom in the past. I really enjoy coming to this location even though it is out of my way. They have good second hand items, for a decent price. I was able to get a chips/dip bowl for $5 it says $9 on the tag but the day I went it happened to be a day where all pink tagged items were 50% off. I didn't know till I got to the register. Only thing that sucks is the $1 fee when you're using a card to pay. If you come here it's better to have cash just as a heads up. read more

First off the outside of the building looks like a strip club (black w/pink trim). Terrible curb appeal. Worst of all this store is a scam!! Be alert!! If you want to pay 12.75% in taxes/fake fees including $1 to use a credit card, then this is the overpriced thrift store for you. It's illegal to overcharge on sales tax & then attempt to charge a living wage fee of 4%, no one is required to pay that BS, it's optional & they try to sneak it in (also shouldn't be allowed). They misrepresented sales tax at 8.75% when it's 7.75%. When we called out the nasty worker behind counter for the many fraudulent practices they tried to pull she wasn't too pleased. Me and my sister went here and we found decent stuff fair prices for the brands / quality at check out me and my sister paid 100$ afterwards we did the math and the total came out to 90.67. There was a sign saying no cash and they then informed us the service fee was a dollar and somehow the total jumped $10. Customer service was very poor. read more

I live about 1 minute from this thrift store. We just moved to Carmichael so I wanted to check it out but the PRICES ARE CRAZY HIGH. The prices in my opinion are not justifiable. The good: Decent rotation of interesting items. I find things here I seldom see at other stores. The staff is always friendly, welcoming and ready to help. The bad: Prices have noticeably gone up. I'm a big thrifter and always have to check out new places. I had gone back in late April or May 2022 which was only a month or two after they had opened. All the inventory in there was great. You can tell that it isn't like a Goodwill where they just take anything. It gives off Freestyle Clothing Exchange vibes, where they actually pick and choose what they take. I saw antique furniture, guns, clothes, German Stein Mugs, sewing supplies, and much more. However, I only bought clothes. I bought a 21 pilots belt, these super comfy and flowy rainbow pants, neon orange pants, a military slip dress, and much more. Staff was very friendly but the guy who was ringing us up took a good 20 minutes for our dozen items. They manually write down the receipt and do the math so it takes a little bit longer than your normal store. They also seem to like talking with you about the items, life, the business and much more. A great place for an extrovert but as someone whose introverted, I much more prefer the grab my items and go method that many other businesses use. With all that being said, I will be coming back because there are so many great and unique clothes to find. read more

This place has been open for about 3 weeks now! There's plenty of parking in the parking lot. There's such a variety of items here. Plenty of home decor, kitchen items, and lots of clothes. I found some cute cowgirl boots here. Lots of sequins clothing sold here. I've been wanting a Harley Davidson shirt and found one here for $34. There's definitely quality pieces here, I highly recommend checking it out if you have some time to kill. read more

This thrift store has a large variety of clothes that aren't all crammed together which makes it easier to look through. There are men's, women's, shoes, bags, jewelry, a small section for kids and toys, and a big section for furniture. I found some nice dresses for maternity (one with the original store tag still on it!). While it is just a little bit more pricey than goodwill or the other big chain thrift stores, there were more finds for me and therefore more high yield. I bought 4 dresses and came out to about $40. The clothes were also in great condition. There were also some gorgeous furniture in good condition, from dressers, to vintage chairs, to bookshelves. Will definitely come back to browse! read more

I was passing by on my way to an appointment and their sign caught my eye. On the way home I stopped in and was pleasantly surprised by their eclectic collection of clothing, home decor, and dishes. Today I went home with a striped scarf and a pair of jeans that are in great condition, but also nicely worn in and fit like a glove! In this age of fast fashion it's so nice to find a place so welcoming and so well organized with quality pieces at super bargain prices. Everything was pretty organized for a thrift store so finding clothes was easy, though it's hard to find tops that fit me right so I won't hold 'em to that lol.
