This place is actually really nice inside! Great deals on furniture and paintings! There's sculptures, glassware, dishware, etc too! Found some great glass and pottery pieces! It's quiet in there and a chill atmosphere. The shopkeeper seems nice too. I will be back again for a third time and more! read more

Upscale Consignment Furniture - Rollin Karg sculpture - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - Sacramento, California

A good place if you like very traditional furniture and want an old fashioned look. The few modern pieces I saw were priced higher than I would have valued. Won't be going back. read more

The gentleman was very helpful and they had a large selection of furniture with fairly reasonable prices. They also had delivery options for an additional fee, which is helpful. read more

I went to this store looking for a new sofa (new to me) my son and I walked the entire store spending approximately 30 minutes there. The "clerk" aka the man behind the counter acknowledged us twice. I attempted to discuss a tv stand and delivery with him yet he was on the phone & did not come over to help. We used the restroom there as we were leaving, and he says to us from across the show room "can I help you with anything other than using my restroom"? I said we had just walked the whole store and his response was "hum" My son and I looked at each other with total confusion. What a terrible thing to say to us as well it was totally uncalled for and not true. Would NEVER go back here to be treated like that again. read more

The owner will profile you based on your appearance and whether you look wealthy or not. I have been in the store before, wearing nicer attire and he waited on me hand and foot. Today I was dressed down and was told to "go try the mall if I wanted to try a massage chair because I did not look like a serious buyer". Absolutely disgusting behavior for a human and not a great business model for a person in sales. Don't spend your money here. read more

This store has no helpers. Owner expects purchasers to break down beds and load furniture themselves. With no discount offered. We purchased a bed and couch. For 3000.00 and had to load it out. read more

I came to just check things out...very nice selection of new and used furniture. I appreciate being able to browse without being overwhelmed by hovering salespeople. I took a few photos of possible furniture I might buy. I went back the next day and easily purchased the chair I wanted. The salesman hauled the chair to my car and we realized it wouldn't fit. He was very kind and said there was no problem holding the chair until I could find transportation for it. Luckily my neighbor helped out and they didn't require that I be present when she picked up my chair. So, a very nice experience and I got a great chair! read more

Lou the owner and upscale Consignment Furniture ,Etc. is the best consignment store in the Sacramento area.Friendly personnel , courteous and efficient. Lou and his business is very upfront and excellent prices. He has shown my family and I what an exemplary business he has. Five stars without question. read more

Wonderful customer service. Very nice pieces and clean. I showed the gentleman what I was looking for and he suggested another location that specializes in what I'm looking for. I will definitely return. Attached is a nice wicker piece that arrived 3 days ago. read more

Clean, the owner polite, a wide variety of quality furniture, paintings and accessories. If you are looking for something NOT cookie cutter, this is the place to go! read more

Service is not recommendable.! I've seen and heard a lot of unfortunate comments about this place of business. My family has purchased furniture from them as well (3000.00 worth). And I'm sorry to report their furniture maybe good enough, but not for that price & lack customer care and support. A good business model would show care for its customer's, service, as well as a good production line. read more

This place was CRAZY but, the kind of crazy/awesome that makes me want to go back. Very good sized space with a really wide variety. They had some really amazing deals on some great furniture pieces. They had a really wide range of items.......from super fancy pants sofa sets to really inexpensive chairs and tables. They had something for every price point. There really wasn't anything terribly modern or on trend but they did have a good amount of really cool vintage items along with a solid inventory of 10 year old-ish stuff. They have a lot of very "classic" items that could fit into a lot of different decors. It was a pretty cool space with some really great deals and some super interesting items. I'll definitely be checking it out again in the future. read more

I could not be more pleased with Upscale Consignment Furniture! I purchased a beautiful buffet in December. Lou was informative as to the approximate age, and the type of wood of this piece! I came to the store to look at this buffet. A day later I was able to purchase this over the phone. And Lou also gave me information regarding a very reliable delivery company! I do not live in the Sacramento area, so I was appreciative of his help in coordinating the delivery of the buffet, and his willingness to except payment over the phone! I will most definitely return to Upscale Consignment Furniture in the future! read more

A lot of interesting pieces but too expensive for consignment. The three stars is for the extremely insulting signs. On all white furniture, "No kid sit here, serious buyers only". And at the framed art section, "do not damage pictures. You break it you buy it". I do not like to be addressed like that and it makes for an unwelcoming, unfriendly and uncomfortable place to be. Won't come here again and will probably tell the story to friends about some store that is ok with insulting their customers. I am sure some kid got some white piece of furniture dirty, so what? They should just chalk that up to the expense of doing business. It would cost them less than the loss of frequent furniture shoppers like me. read more

My new favorite store in Sacramento. Lots of cool stuff. Wood furniture, paintings, antiques and modern, sofas and chairs. This place has it all. read more

I dig this place for the treasure hunting, although I think the term "upscale" is a bit of an oversell. I mean, it's upscale compared to Goodwill, I guess. They sell a mix of new and used furniture, but I'd estimate about 75% of it is used/consignment stuff. Some of it is in pretty good condition, but a lot of it is in fair thrift store condition, meaning visible wear but with fair prices. Unlike the new furniture stores, the sales lady didn't hover over us like a hawk, so I appreciated that. We were 100% free to check everything out, plop down on the sofas, measure things, etc. I felt really comfortable there, and when I did have a question, the sales lady was nice and knowledgable. I think the merchandise gets progressively "less upscale" the further back into the store you get because that back room is full of random junk, as far as I could tell. But, hey, if you like thrifting, there might be some treasure back there. I would come back here on a thrifty Saturday, just to poke around. read more

I recently moved up to North Highlands for an apartment of my own, and naturally, it was bereft of furniture. I knew I couldn't lay on my living room floor, so I begun searching on Craigslist for a writing desk. An advert put out by Upscale Consignment was one of the first ones I saw. I drove down there this afternoon, saw that the desk in question was still there, and promptly went to the front and requested purchase. A folding chair was purchased along with it, and the combined total was somewhere around the $50 mark. The proprietor advised me to pull my car around to the rear of the store, removed the legs so that it would fit in my car, and helped me put it in the back seat. The whole operation was taken care of in fifteen minutes. I'll definitely return here in the future. read more

Bought a night stand and a coffer table. Extremely nice price. Stylish. We gave them some treatment with restore and finish and wax at, as the staff oriented. They are so beautiful. Really worth to check the store out. read more

I needed furniture when I moved into a new duplex. I found several items at Upscale that I liked. After rechecking measurement and space, i ended up buying a very nice table and chair set for my breakfast room, a side table with a shelf, drawer, and a marble top for my bedside, and comfy living room chair that I use daily. I'm very happy with my purchases and the delivery process which was quick and efficient. The delivery people put the items exactly where I wanted them and even asked if I was happy with their placement. Upscale has some very nice items for sale. Of course their stock depends on what they are able to buy but when I went there I was happy with many of the items in the store and happy to be able to get next to new furniture at a much less than new price. read more

They have the usual stuff. Nothing special. The woman who works there I suspect is the owner. A very very rude woman. Wouldn't even try to help load a very heavy 9x12 rug into the car. If it weren't for this one Persian rug I would NEVER visit this store. Honestly, this level of rudeness should never be tolerated by a consumer, especially when spending hundreds of dollars in a store with only marginally decent used furniture. read more

Do not shop here! Bad customer service! They sold me a couch I paid for it and was offered delivery and was told by David its covered. Delivery came and they asked for $80.00 cash or Check and I had neither. The delivery guys called the owner and the owner got on the phone with me and said "these guys have to get paid or we are taking the couch back" Since I already paid for the couch, I told him they are not taking this couch, I paid for it and its in my house! He told the delivery guys to remove the couch from my house. Even the delivery guys agreed with me. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I will never go there again nor will all my family and friends. The delivery guys and myself were shocked. They ended up leaving without the couch because they knew. Just because someone working in your store all by themselves makes a mistake and instead of fixing the problem the owner made it worse. Breaks my heart that customer service is a thing of the past. Overpriced and Rude !!!! Never Again!!!!!! read more

Called to ask if they could call the owner on a mirror with a very reasonable offer and the clerk cut me off, rudely. And said no! I would not like to have someone selling my stuff and tell my possible buyers NO, without hesitation or even a counter offer. read more

When I'm looking for a piece I always stop by, I've found some really great deals. I just purchased another piece from them that is being delivered today. The gentleman who own's the store is very nice and it's a pleasure working with him. Also It feels so much better to buy a used solid wood piece of furniture rather than a particle board flat pack that you have to assemble yourself. They also have some interesting lamps and decorator pieces. read more

This guy is very honest and legit he has great items at good prices and is fair in his cut. Use him when ever I have good items.

Great selection of furniture, including many antiques, and a helpful, friendly owner. We found a beautiful dining room table with 6 chairs here recently. It was carefully delivered the following day by someone he works with for a reasonable price. I like this place a lot better than many of the other consignment stores I have visited in the Sacramento area. The prices seem very competitive, especially when compared to new furniture stores, where the quality can be lacking. Check it out. read more

I have shopped here in the past and it is a real nice place. So when I needed a bedroom set I went back and found exactly what I was looking for. The price was within my budget. The owner Lou wrote it up and i told him i needed delivery. They have a third party delivery service who works for many stores. They delivered it and set it all up for only $80. I got a great nights sleep. If friends or family need furniture I will highly recommend Upscale Consignments. read more

The gray-haired woman working here today was so obnoxious and condescending, I wouldn't dream of giving this store a penny! We came to look at something from a Craigslist ad that turned out to be a very different color from the ad. Although I liked the piece, my husband vetoed it because of the color. Her response was to look down her snooty nose and snort, "You didn't know that BEFORE you came here?" She then got huffy because another employee had incorrectly priced some light bulbs we were buying, which we declined because she wanted to charge us double the marked price and tried to argue about their value. We didn't respond, as she clearly had a holier than thou attitude, we just left the store, shaking our heads. I had been planning to convince hubby to get the piece - it would have taken me all of five minutes - but I changed my mind the minute she opened her mouth. I'd rather pay twice the price elsewhere than ever shop here. read more
