Strolled around for 20 minutes. Almost all Clothing, accessories, baubles are for women. The smaller men's section is tucked away in the left side of the store. I bought a golf cap. It's new with original factory tags. $12. Bambie got a silk shirt with an all over pattern of small guitars. Prices are higher than a typical thrift store, but the quality is better. Many clothes are designer labels that are not made in China. Employees were friendly and helpful. Store is worth a look if you prefer good quality vintage fashion. read more

The store is always neat, organized, and doesn't have the smell that is far too common in other consignment and second hand stores. That's because you are in a boutique honey and you can tell that the owners Abe and Val put a lot of care into the items and how the store is presented. I have never consigned there but I've shopped there for years and have enjoyed the treasures I've found. There is something for every kind of style and they carry all kinds of brands including high end luxury brands. They not only have pieces in-store but you can shop online and even during their live shows hosted on their social media platforms. They have top tier customer service and everyone who's ever helped me is always pleasant, positive people that go above and beyond to help. The parking lot of the where it's located is one way in and one way out so you will need to enter in the driveway closest to the Tupelo coffee shop and exit the driveway on the other end of the lot. I went into Article today with a few Hermès items I had recently come across, hoping to learn more about how consignment works. When I first arrived, I was warmly greeted by a kind lady who directed me to where the buying/selling takes place. The gentleman I met with was initially very friendly and knowledgeable, which I appreciated since I openly explained that I'm not very familiar with luxury items or consignment in general. He walked me through the process, including the fees and percentages that would be taken. After hearing the details, I decided I wasn't quite ready to commit and preferred to hold onto my items for now to see if I could sell them myself. The moment I said that, his demeanor completely changed. He became visibly agitated, shut down, and no longer offered the same courtesy he had just a few minutes earlier. I was only in the store for about 7 minutes, and I even had my infant in a stroller with me. When I left, he didn't so much as hold the door open, which left me feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. As someone new to this process, I wish he had been more understanding. I was still open to returning in the future if I couldn't sell my items on my own, but his reaction left such a negative impression that I don't feel inclined to go back. As a business owner myself, I know deals don't always happen on the spot -- but kindness and professionalism should always remain the same. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. read more

This clothing shop is amazing. They have great brands and great variety for both men and women! First time here, my boyfriend and I both found something we loved. This place has a really classy selection compared to other second hand / consignment stores (crossroads, freestyle exchange) and to be honest I think this place is better. They have more older brands and more practical brands in my opinion, as the other stores tend to lean towards trends and street wear this store sells clothes that will not be out of trend in 2 months. The workers here are very warm and friendly and would love to help you find exactly what you're looking for. If you are shopping here for designer the value and prices are very good. Lots of stuff under $500 for Louis Vuitton, they had a ton of red bottoms, they even had a ton of men's designer. went in looking forward to going thrifting with my friends and was suddenly asked to leave. We were shocked and confused when we were accused of stealing when we offered to hand over bags and jackets and even get searched and apologized when told " shady people like us " were not wanted here ! I am a Puerto Rican and my friend happens to be a male who was wearing eyeliner and calling people like us shady is discrimination! We explained that we had done nothing wrong and asked if there was cameras cause he could check and see we did nothing wrong and he told us to leave or he would call the cops and we emptied our pockets and showed we had no items and he said he didn't wanna hear it and said he did not want " our kind of business " and told us we HAD to leave ! Do not support a place like this it was embarrassing and disrespectful to tell us to leave with no proof and no crime committed and after this I found out it has happened to many before us ! Let me start by this review by saying that the store was clean and neat. The people in the store were nice and tried to be helpful. The problem is with the merchandise and their business model. I'm retired, so I shop with comfort and natural fibers in mind. I don't think they had a single pair of women's pants in the entire store. The clothing is ALL for work or dress occasions. Although I can't imagine that I ever would have been interested in the style of clothing they carry, and here is an example of why: in pride of place they had a rack especially for gloriously chic and crossover Eileen Fisher AND prissy, buttoned up St. John. Why would those two ever be together? And saying they are their most popular designer items does not explain the juxtaposition. Their online sales model is also not for me. I need to touch and try things on before I buy, especially pants, which they apparently don't have anyway. This store is not for me and I will not be back. However, it might be for you if you are looking for work style and high heels. They also have men's clothing I think. read more

Great service and help in both stores. Terrific selection and really well organized. I live pretty far away from the store and was not disappointed in having to drive an hour both ways to get to the store. Found a few really nice dresses, some great Eileen Fisher pieces and lovely Italian sandals. Being able to see their items before going into the store is also very helpful. I will definitely make this my new go-to consignment store. Doesn't hurt to be able to pop over to the coffee store next door for a pick me up while shopping. read more

There are 2 "stores" here that are both Article - one seems to be carry more of their luxury items. They had some very nice things on both sides. It's funny that the non-luxury side had people working there that were very friendly - actively saying hello and making conversation. I didn't end up buying anything because I honestly can't justify it right now with the state of my bursting closet. LOL. BUT if I do ever manage to make some space, I would definitely return here in a heartbeat. The store was organized wonderfully, and the staff were happy to help you find the perfect item. The prices here are pretty reasonable and they have a lot of variety in brands and sizes. This sweet boutique is jam packed with a unique variety of clothing for men and women, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and accessories, ranging from vintage, gently used to new and designer merchandise. Since this is a consignment store, you never know what you'll find and what you missed out on. Don't expect Good Will donation prices here, because only high quality, brand name clothes are offered, and that's what makes this store fun to browse through! Inventory changes frequently, so visiting often is the key to getting first choice one-of-a-kind items! If something doesn't sell after 30 days, the price gets dropped, but that's the chance you take if you want something; either buy it now, or you may lose it if you wait. And, you leave with the knowledge that you didn't have to pay full designer prices! That can be an exciting endeavor to some people like me! The store is nice and well organized. Great consignment shop. I came in looking for a belt. Saw several I liked but wasn't fitting me quite right. Currently I am in between sizes, kinda frustrating but that's a different story. So I zoned in on the accessories. They have designer handbags (Michael Kors, Coach, Tory Burch, Prada), clutches, evening bags, rings, necklaces, scarfs, hats, sunglasses, and the such. A turquoise hard side clutch with silver trim and a white enamel emerald cut clasp caught my eye. Upon closer examination, the inside label was a Trina Turk for Banana Republic which was nice but didn't impress me. It was reasonably priced; it had a silver chain and clean vibrant inside lining reminiscent of a Lily Pulitzer, those features clinched the sale. The clothes are clean and vintage contemporary with tons of labels. Actually the entire store is tidy and nicely decorated. They even have a men's section: clothes, shoes, and accessories including wallets, belts, and sunglasses. The staff was friendly and helpful. Remember to checkin on Yelp to use a $10 off of $40+ purchase. Plus remember...ALL SALES ARE FINAL, which is the norm for consignment shops. I was not told this but I did see a small sign near the register. So be alert to that fact when purchasing. Carefully look things over and be certain...items sold as is. read more

I like this shop! It's a nicely sized store, nicely laid out with a great vibe for shopping. The clothes racks aren't crowded. They have several fitting rooms and a clean/nice restroom if you need it. The couple that own Article Consignment Boutique are wonderful to their customers like other reviewers have said and the staff they employ are kind and willing to help. I'm not the woman that dresses trendy nor the woman that wears only high end clothing. However, if you are, you must visit. And if you're not, you are likely to still find something you like for a good price. And they do have a nice spread of some men's attire as well, including plenty of shoes. Think of Article as a high quality thrift store experience without the grime or hassles of crowded racks. You'll find some brand new items with tags that folks didn't wear, you'll find some eclectic attire. You'll find many purses, sunglasses, and shoes. And they have a rewards program! My only negative aside from the fact I don't wear the popular stuff, is that the mirrors, while large & beautiful, they're planted on the ground at an angle. For fatties like me, it really distorts and discourages the purchase. Ok, I'm not a true fatty, but I'm overweight enough that seeing my body in bad light (or in a poorly angled mirror like here) is just not happy vibe making. The employees and customers here are really kind and the store is clean, only accepting gently used clothing (recently washed) that are in season or iso. They have high end brands for decent prices and always receiving new pieces everyday so there's always something new. This is the only place I shop in Sacramento. There really aren't any other good options to shop luxury - including new (though I know Roseville mall is expanding those options) - without venturing towards SF. I almost always find something here, though by nature of it being a consignment store, not always exactly what I came in for (but usually better!). The stock tends to be more tried and true staple brands - you won't necessarily find a crazy unique dress from a new/hot designer, but isn't that really what rentals are for anyway?
