One of my very favorite consignment stores that I make a special trip to visit every single time I am in Sacramento. The owners not only have exquisite taste, they are very kind, friendly and customer service oriented. Clothing/shoes/purses/jewelry are high quality, well curated and excellent deals. Some of all time favorite items in my closet are from here. 5 stars all the way, check out their Instagram Live! read more

Strolled around for 20 minutes. Almost all Clothing, accessories, baubles are for women. The smaller men's section is tucked away in the left side of the store. I bought a golf cap. It's new with original factory tags. $12. Bambie got a silk shirt with an all over pattern of small guitars. Prices are higher than a typical thrift store, but the quality is better. Many clothes are designer labels that are not made in China. Employees were friendly and helpful. Store is worth a look if you prefer good quality vintage fashion. read more

Article is my go to, the service is the best and once you get to know them they become your friends. They have many luxury brand treasures. If you are looking for luxury, authenticity, and one of a kind finds for a fraction of the retail cost, stop in or go online and see what gem you discover! The store is always neat, organized, and doesn't have the smell that is far too common in other consignment and second hand stores. That's because you are in a boutique honey and you can tell that the owners Abe and Val put a lot of care into the items and how the store is presented. I have never consigned there but I've shopped there for years and have enjoyed the treasures I've found. There is something for every kind of style and they carry all kinds of brands including high end luxury brands. They not only have pieces in-store but you can shop online and even during their live shows hosted on their social media platforms. They have top tier customer service and everyone who's ever helped me is always pleasant, positive people that go above and beyond to help. The parking lot of the where it's located is one way in and one way out so you will need to enter in the driveway closest to the Tupelo coffee shop and exit the driveway on the other end of the lot. It's in a great area, so if you want to shop, go have food and drinks, you have lots of options even within walking distance making it a a great day out! read more

This is one of my favorite and most visited stores in Sacramento. I both consign items and regularly purchase clothing, luxury bags and other small items of value. This family owned business is very welcoming. The owners are both knowledgeable and friendly and demonstrate a strong passion and commitment to serving the Sacramento Community. If you haven't visited, I highly recommend! read more

I'm not a consignment shopper when I'm out in the wild, until now. Article is a great place to take your gently or never worn clothing, shoes, accessories, etc. It's also a fun place to shop! The store is filled with everything! Women's clothing in all sizes, men's clothing, and super fun "things"! You can find some pretty cool items. Where my heart is at, is with their designer brands next door. Yep, they have two stores side by side. The designer items are AH-mazing!! The collection is unparalleled to anything that you could possible find in Sacramento. It's like walking into a design house. Beautiful clothing, handbags, and accessories galore! It's so worth the time to check everything out. Val and her husband have created a true gem in East Sac.,! Val, thank you for being welcoming and fun! xx read more

I went into Article today with a few Hermès items I had recently come across, hoping to learn more about how consignment works. When I first arrived, I was warmly greeted by a kind lady who directed me to where the buying/selling takes place. The gentleman I met with was initially very friendly and knowledgeable, which I appreciated since I openly explained that I'm not very familiar with luxury items or consignment in general. He walked me through the process, including the fees and percentages that would be taken. After hearing the details, I decided I wasn't quite ready to commit and preferred to hold onto my items for now to see if I could sell them myself. The moment I said that, his demeanor completely changed. He became visibly agitated, shut down, and no longer offered the same courtesy he had just a few minutes earlier. I was only in the store for about 7 minutes, and I even had my infant in a stroller with me. When I left, he didn't so much as hold the door open, which left me feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. As someone new to this process, I wish he had been more understanding. I was still open to returning in the future if I couldn't sell my items on my own, but his reaction left such a negative impression that I don't feel inclined to go back. As a business owner myself, I know deals don't always happen on the spot -- but kindness and professionalism should always remain the same. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. read more

Article Consignment is a fun boutique to shop. Val & Ab (the owners) and their staff are so kind and helpful. I loved the mix of high and low items for purchase at this store. I found several items that were reasonably priced among the designer items that were there on consignment. The staff were very friendly and even gave me suggestions on places to go while I was in the city. I definitely recommend giving this establishment a try. read more

Great curated selection of luxury goods! Prices hit just right and everything was in amazing condition. Nice mix of vintage thrown in there, too. Immediately given a warm welcome and let known about the sale going on. Bought myself a functional Furla bag for 1/4th of the original price tag - not a scratch on it and it came with a dust bag. I'll be swinging by whenever I'm in town for sure. read more

Loved everything about Article Consignment! Has a great mix of luxury and the everyday basics I need in my closet. Found several items at incredible prices while walking through their beautiful displays-great set up and so easy to shop. Was able to spend some time talking with the owners and their team and they made me feel welcome and at ease from the moment I stepped in. Will definitely be back! read more

Great store, the Wife happened to find a couple of things that she adored, which were both reasonably priced.

This clothing shop is amazing. They have great brands and great variety for both men and women! First time here, my boyfriend and I both found something we loved. This place has a really classy selection compared to other second hand / consignment stores (crossroads, freestyle exchange) and to be honest I think this place is better. They have more older brands and more practical brands in my opinion, as the other stores tend to lean towards trends and street wear this store sells clothes that will not be out of trend in 2 months. The workers here are very warm and friendly and would love to help you find exactly what you're looking for. If you are shopping here for designer the value and prices are very good. Lots of stuff under $500 for Louis Vuitton, they had a ton of red bottoms, they even had a ton of men's designer. It's just incredible I hadn't been here sooner I am now saving up to go shopping here read more

Wonderful items!! Amazing service!! You have to come in and see all of the unique items they have for sale!!! I'd I need an accent piece or a ball down, Ii stop here First! went in looking forward to going thrifting with my friends and was suddenly asked to leave. We were shocked and confused when we were accused of stealing when we offered to hand over bags and jackets and even get searched and apologized when told " shady people like us " were not wanted here ! I am a Puerto Rican and my friend happens to be a male who was wearing eyeliner and calling people like us shady is discrimination! We explained that we had done nothing wrong and asked if there was cameras cause he could check and see we did nothing wrong and he told us to leave or he would call the cops and we emptied our pockets and showed we had no items and he said he didn't wanna hear it and said he did not want " our kind of business " and told us we HAD to leave ! Do not support a place like this it was embarrassing and disrespectful to tell us to leave with no proof and no crime committed and after this I found out it has happened to many before us ! This place is discriminatory and unreasonable! read more

Let me start by this review by saying that the store was clean and neat. The people in the store were nice and tried to be helpful. The problem is with the merchandise and their business model. I'm retired, so I shop with comfort and natural fibers in mind. I don't think they had a single pair of women's pants in the entire store. The clothing is ALL for work or dress occasions. Although I can't imagine that I ever would have been interested in the style of clothing they carry, and here is an example of why: in pride of place they had a rack especially for gloriously chic and crossover Eileen Fisher AND prissy, buttoned up St. John. Why would those two ever be together? And saying they are their most popular designer items does not explain the juxtaposition. Their online sales model is also not for me. I need to touch and try things on before I buy, especially pants, which they apparently don't have anyway. This store is not for me and I will not be back. However, it might be for you if you are looking for work style and high heels. They also have men's clothing I think. read more

Came in for a crossbody bag I saw on their website. Nice powder blue color that came with a dust bag. I also got it on sale plus my rewards that lowers my total to less than $50!! I purchased from this store several items, great stuff for a family or yourself. Looked brand new but less money.

Great service and help in both stores. Terrific selection and really well organized. I live pretty far away from the store and was not disappointed in having to drive an hour both ways to get to the store. Found a few really nice dresses, some great Eileen Fisher pieces and lovely Italian sandals. Being able to see their items before going into the store is also very helpful. I will definitely make this my new go-to consignment store. Doesn't hurt to be able to pop over to the coffee store next door for a pick me up while shopping. read more

There are 2 "stores" here that are both Article - one seems to be carry more of their luxury items. They had some very nice things on both sides. It's funny that the non-luxury side had people working there that were very friendly - actively saying hello and making conversation. I didn't end up buying anything because I honestly can't justify it right now with the state of my bursting closet. LOL. BUT if I do ever manage to make some space, I would definitely return here in a heartbeat. I saw a pair of Superdry sweatpants that I would have bought if I had the room - they had great cowboy boots, some nice leather bags and the luxury side definitely carried some interesting pieces as well. read more

I have been meaning to check this place out for a while now. I came here with my friend the other day and we were in absolute awe over all the designer items. The store was organized wonderfully, and the staff were happy to help you find the perfect item. The prices here are pretty reasonable and they have a lot of variety in brands and sizes. They also authenticate all of their items, so it is nice to know you are getting the real deal! I will definitely be coming back here to consign my own items and pick up more treasures. read more

My absolute hands down favorite luxury consignment store! Great selection and great prices and the owners are the best! Highly recommend.

Whenever I'm in the area, I make a point of checking out this shop! It has now expanded it's boundaries from it's original location, which was just next door. This sweet boutique is jam packed with a unique variety of clothing for men and women, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and accessories, ranging from vintage, gently used to new and designer merchandise. Since this is a consignment store, you never know what you'll find and what you missed out on. Don't expect Good Will donation prices here, because only high quality, brand name clothes are offered, and that's what makes this store fun to browse through! Inventory changes frequently, so visiting often is the key to getting first choice one-of-a-kind items! If something doesn't sell after 30 days, the price gets dropped, but that's the chance you take if you want something; either buy it now, or you may lose it if you wait. And, you leave with the knowledge that you didn't have to pay full designer prices! That can be an exciting endeavor to some people like me! The store is nice and well organized. The owners Abe & Val Sanchez are a husband/wife team who are even nicer! They are personable and very helpful in guiding you with your shopping needs. I found a cute top that fit perfect and very comfortable to wear. I also got a 20% discount when I checked into the boutique using my Yelp app! Now I have several good reasons to check out this store again and again! read more

Article Consignment Boutique is my go to place to shop. Here, I have found some of the most beautiful and hard to find/forever pieces I have in my wardrobe. Article Consignment Boutique really has it all! From insane luxury brands to high street fashion, this place has something for everyone and every occasion. Through the years, I have witnessed this business grow. However, the quality of items and service only keeps improving. The owners, Abe and Val are crushing it! They are wonderful at what they do. Their dedication, commitment, and customer service is second to none. It truly shows! In my opinion, the owners go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful shopping experience, which is why I keep coming back! They treat customers with respect and kindness. This is a great family business. In addition, Article Consignment Boutique has wonderful items and their prices are simply amazing! Their attention to detail is unmatched, offering many different ways to shop. Also, a certificate of authenticity comes with all their luxury pieces, which is definitely a bonus. Their online presence is also great, making shopping even easier. Recently, I decided to bring a few items for consignment. The entire process was explained to me. Each step was straightforward and easy. I am confident that my items are in good hands and will find new owners. Without a doubt, Article Consignment Boutique is the place to shop!!! read more

Great consignment shop. I came in looking for a belt. Saw several I liked but wasn't fitting me quite right. Currently I am in between sizes, kinda frustrating but that's a different story. So I zoned in on the accessories. They have designer handbags (Michael Kors, Coach, Tory Burch, Prada), clutches, evening bags, rings, necklaces, scarfs, hats, sunglasses, and the such. A turquoise hard side clutch with silver trim and a white enamel emerald cut clasp caught my eye. Upon closer examination, the inside label was a Trina Turk for Banana Republic which was nice but didn't impress me. It was reasonably priced; it had a silver chain and clean vibrant inside lining reminiscent of a Lily Pulitzer, those features clinched the sale. The clothes are clean and vintage contemporary with tons of labels. Actually the entire store is tidy and nicely decorated. They even have a men's section: clothes, shoes, and accessories including wallets, belts, and sunglasses. The staff was friendly and helpful. Remember to checkin on Yelp to use a $10 off of $40+ purchase. Plus remember...ALL SALES ARE FINAL, which is the norm for consignment shops. I was not told this but I did see a small sign near the register. So be alert to that fact when purchasing. Carefully look things over and be certain...items sold as is. read more

I like this shop! It's a nicely sized store, nicely laid out with a great vibe for shopping. The clothes racks aren't crowded. They have several fitting rooms and a clean/nice restroom if you need it. The couple that own Article Consignment Boutique are wonderful to their customers like other reviewers have said and the staff they employ are kind and willing to help. I'm not the woman that dresses trendy nor the woman that wears only high end clothing. However, if you are, you must visit. And if you're not, you are likely to still find something you like for a good price. And they do have a nice spread of some men's attire as well, including plenty of shoes. Think of Article as a high quality thrift store experience without the grime or hassles of crowded racks. You'll find some brand new items with tags that folks didn't wear, you'll find some eclectic attire. You'll find many purses, sunglasses, and shoes. And they have a rewards program! My only negative aside from the fact I don't wear the popular stuff, is that the mirrors, while large & beautiful, they're planted on the ground at an angle. For fatties like me, it really distorts and discourages the purchase. Ok, I'm not a true fatty, but I'm overweight enough that seeing my body in bad light (or in a poorly angled mirror like here) is just not happy vibe making. Otherwise, Article Consignment Boutique is a great shop that you should stop by on an afternoon when hunting for nice threads. read more

Just happened to stop by this store- was instantly greeted and was told about the store's history and what I could find there. I have been shopping at Article since their opening 15 years ago. I have come to know Valerie and Abe and besides being the coolest people to know, they are so passionate about their business! I ALWAYS find great pieces and they are always priced fairly whether its casual wear or designer. This is the only place I shop in Sacramento. There really aren't any other good options to shop luxury - including new (though I know Roseville mall is expanding those options) - without venturing towards SF. I almost always find something here, though by nature of it being a consignment store, not always exactly what I came in for (but usually better!). The stock tends to be more tried and true staple brands - you won't necessarily find a crazy unique dress from a new/hot designer, but isn't that really what rentals are for anyway? I also appreciate that the staff are friendly, helpful, and not judgmental. Definitely worth a visit. read more

Val and Abe are the best of the best. There is no one else in the region who does what they do better. The integrity they bring to the table has no comparison. The two of them have built a business on a solid fundamental foundation. If there was an award for this they win. Thank you for raising the bar, setting the stage so we can all rise to the occasion. Article Consignment is THE BEST to shop (and consign) when you are seeking a nice variety of clothing (and some home decor) from high-end to everyday wear. From Armani and Max Mara to Lululemon to Department store brands... Article's on top of current trends, use social media well and always offer SUPERB customer service. I do not visit other Consignment stores - this is the place! Don't forget to check out the Jewelry (high-end and costume) and Designer Handbags (Chanel, Hermes, Ferragamo, Micheal Kors, Coach, Kate Spade and more)! You don't have to look long or hard to find the perfect piece here...they are everywhere! I was excited to tell a close friend about my recent visit to Article and her response was, "Oh! GO NOW. Gucci bags, Stuart Weitzman shoes, Kate Spade bangles, Tiffany key chains, and an entire clearance section were a few of my favorites I spied on my first visit. Hey, I even found a stylish pair of board shorts for my husband who is super hard to shop for. Bursting with sought after designers, the store is well laid out, organized and clean. Same great store, new location! Well, when I say new location I literally mean right next door. There new space is slightly larger and a better layout, but you best believe you're going to get the same great selection and service! As I mentioned before, the men's clothing section here is light years above what you'd find at most local boutiques. Now, with the new store space, they've added even more and have a great section for shoes. It's still predominantly women's clothing, but let's be honest. The ladies are the ones who really frequent these places! Perhaps the best aspect of Article is great owners who really treat their customers special. (Isn't that the best aspect of any small business?) They have a knack for recalling just about anyone who comes in and they are always open to help you.
