Summary: looking online/calling in will make you think that you can get out of state wedding rental suit measurements, but you can't, and they'll make you feel bad about it for not knowing. A gentleman greeted me in the Men's section and asked if I needed help - he was kind while we chatted and brought me to the dressing room. That's the main reason this isn't a one star review. I was met by a tailor that measured my chest only and told me a number. I was confused, so I asked if they could do out seam or any other measurements, and explained that I called ahead to confirm I could get detailed measurements for a wedding suit rental. I even asked if I could pay. The tailor scoffed at me, shrugged, and said she couldn't help me. I get why they do it. It's been awhile since my involvement in a wedding but I walked into a big box store in the past (that wasn't associated with the wedding party) and they helped no questions asked. I'm going to assume it's a store or upper management policy Maybe the employee on the phone misunderstood my question, but the real issue was the dismissive nature from the tailor like I should know better. And to make it a whole review, they have a decent selection but I'm not buying from them, and the value wasn't there because I couldn't get what I thought was a basic service, even after offering to pay for it. read more

My family and I had some time to kill on Tuesday so we stopped in to see what Nordstrom Rack had to offer. This location is in the Arden area in the same parking lot as Cinemark and Home Goods. It was very well stocked and organized! When we walked in, there was a display of Quay sunglasses and lots of Easter items. They also had a ton of designer purses and jewelry! I saw some nice pairs of shoes and even perfume and cologne. We ended up buying a couple of small items and 2 outfits for our daughter, but being as it is still Nordstrom's, I found a lot of items were pretty pricy. I did like looking through all of their items though and would definitely come back, but I think my budget prefers Home Goods and TJ Maxx. Staff weren't anything special or friendly at check out and I don't recall seeing any employees walking around or helping customers. Check them out! read more

This Nordstrom Rack on Ethan Way offers Easy online returns as well as in store shopping. It's also well organized and clean with plenty of quality merchandise. Pricing can vary but usually less than retail so check inventory regularly for best selections. Parking lot is free, and there is security standing outside the door to put Christmas shoppers at ease. I stopped by tonight looking for cashmere gloves, looked in accessories on the north side of the store, found a nice pair to replace my old ones. They had a good collection of designer shades and Nike apparel in the toddler section. Perused the kitchen area but limited stock avail so didn't find any serving bowls or measuring cups. I did find Hello Kitty Gel pens and Chocolate covered almonds while waiting in the long line for check out. But don't be discouraged, there are plenty of employees at the registers to keep the line flowing. Great lil details that I love about shopping here, they always have a cooler of refreshments and snacks near the registers in case you need a lil pick me up. I bought a pair of Hoka sneakers and wore them just a couple of times for walks in the park. Two weeks later, I noticed they were starting to come apart--the soles were peeling away on both shoes. I took them back to the store to request an exchange or a refund, but instead, the staff treated me rudely, arguing that the shoes were "used" and that they couldn't resell them since I had worn them! Are you serious? I bought them *to wear* them; I expected quality from this brand and good customer service from the store--and guess what? I got neither! They refused to accept the return, and reaching out to customer service didn't change a thing. I do not recommend buying anything from this store! read more

This location of Nordstrom Rack, in general, has a very good selection of shoes and clothing. The home goods, beaty and linens are lacking - but the wide variety in the shoe department makes up for it. While it is very well stocked, this unfortunately means the store can be excessively messy. If you wade through the mess, you can find some real gems. The hubs found an amazing pair of OnCloud running shoes and nice leather ones the last time we popped in. There is always parking and it is located next to a few casual restaurants, which is perfect after hunting down some bargains. Tip: Try to get your shopping on earlier in the day, the store can get crowded as this location really moves its merchandise fast and is always restocking. read more

This is still a good place to find bargains on brand items...if you can find any of them left after the masses have gone through the racks and left just the dregs...Ha-ha-ha! But if you find even just one that fits, with a style you like and a bargain price to match...you've won Lotto! The place is nice, bright and organized as well as they can. Sometimes, you find overlaps...like some women's racks in the gent's section (Hmmm...what the cluck is this doing here?) And you have to be careful of where you walk...the floor is sometimes full of discarded merchandise from the racks that you might just trip on... This visit managed to find me some great looking rugby shirts by Canterbury for a price that was a steal. But that was after half an hour of leafing through racks and racks of clothing. Weekdays are manageable here. Now that the Nordstrom proper is closed it seems have even more traffic. When it comes to suits and more formal wear there are still hidden gems. Certainly a place that gets very busy on the weekends and late afternoons into the evening. I had a very pleasant lady assist me. I believe her title was formal wear specialist. I thought about the worst Ross I have been to and how it was better than this place. 1.) looked like a bomb exploded inside. 2.) line was 40+ people long and there were only three cashiers (other employees around the store). 3.) the lighting was horrible, jaundice yellow, made me feel nauseous. I ordered baby clothes from Nordstrom Rack and I never received them. They use T Force in West Sacramento CA. When I didn't receive my package I called Nordstroms and they told me they have been getting a lot of complaints. I wish I would have asked them why they still us them. Depending on how long they have used T Force I would say Nordstrom is just as neglect as T Force. Between this location and the one up in Folsom, this location is the one most closest to me and everyone else, lol! Expect a line looking for parking, probably walking in, waiting for a fitting room and definitely checking out at the registers. I would have to say that's the only down fall 'bout this store/location. Other than than, Nordstrom Rack is a great store that sells name brand, high quality items at discounted prices. The accessories department is where it's at, to be honest. Sunglasses? They got it! Handbags/wallets? It's here! Can't forget 'bout the shoes! Although sometimes hit or miss, since I wear the same size as practically every female (7), if you get lucky every now and then you come across a really good pair of shoes at a good price. The clothing area is pretty standard compared to other locations. This location tends to be a bit more organized, BUT size small and medium are hard to come by. If it weren't for Ashley M. I would be leaving 1 star. I really don't know how any store can sell a pair of shoes without replacing the laces that were taken out of the shoe. I can't wear these shoes without now buying a pair of laces which defeats any discount it may have had. I was spending the day with a gf and she wanted to check this place out cause she had a gift card that she had got for Xmas and wanted to see if she could Find anything for herself or hubby. Ommmmmg it's hugggge, like it reminds me of a warehouse big. There break it up by section and clearly list what what is there from shoes, dresses, pants, sweaters, tops, men and even children. I walked around the shoe area a bit to see what that had in my size lol but found not much but in my gf size I found so much lol I wanted. And she walked off and I walked over to look at the dresses and tops it's a lot to look thought and it can be overwhelming. I vividly remember the days of spending hours walking through the mall looking for that perfect outfit or for a piece of clothing that I would gift to someone. I feel like after hitting my 30's, I no longer have the patience to aimlessly wander clothing stores. With COVID-19 changing how we do pretty much everything, I enjoy the option to shop online and pick up my order in the store. After finding a beautiful red (his favorite color) terry cloth hooded robe for my son online, I concluded the checkout process and opted for the "in-store pickup" option (no shipping charges). Four days later I received an email notifying me that the order was ready for pickup (they hold your order for seven days). Upon entering the store, I was promptly (and warmly) greeted by an employee that handed me a "one day only" coupon for in-store purchases (nice try Nordstrom Rack!). I quickly made a right turn and stood in the fairly short line for online pickups. When it comes to Nordstrom Rack, I'm definitely a late bloomer. Gentlemen friends... if you're like me and despise shopping, but love your wife then Nordstrom Rack is a happy medium where your wife will be happy and you might just end up finding something for you too (*ahem, gentlemen friends). The quality of items is a much higher upgrade compared to stores like TjMaxx of Marshall's. I would say the quality is close to Macy's but at a much discounted price. It's kind of a haul to get there from Elk Grove but worth it. Great prices on running shoes (Hokas) if you have time to look. The store can get really unorganized fast but the staff do their best, always seem friendly and helpful. I've found some of my most favorite clothing from there at a fraction of the price it would be at Nordstrom itself. They also have a great seamstress. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is bc sometimes the lines are so extra, extra long and stuff like the kids shoes get so wild that it's hard for me to look through. This Nordstrom Rack location is one of the most convenient location. Few blocks away from Arden Fair Mall and few minutes drive from the freeway! This is a newer location just moved from the older store located in the same mall at Howe 'bout Arden. This one is bigger and much easier to find a parking than the old location. They have many choices for shoes and clothes there and the items they have is always high quality. The sales and customer service is excellent here. But some time the line for the cashiers are very long. You can also pay your items at one of the two quick pay counters in the middle of the sales floor. Credit card only. I forgot it is limit to 10 or 15 items maximum! But the line was much shorter. read more

Holy mother of God. I walked in and thought I had walked into the basement of Mervyns/Ross/Marshals. It was ridiculous in there. I went in there for a new purse (gift from my other half for V day) and a new sports bra or two. I used to shop here and it was fine. I got my last purse at the Folsom Rack last year. It was a completely different experience. I was talking to one of the workers, super super nice lady, because she had to unlock a purse I wanted (but didn't buy because it was so much more than I anticipated at that store) and she was telling me why they have half their stuff locked up now and all the crime that goes on. As soon as she walked away the door alarm went off and a lady was casually strolling out the door with a pile of stuff. Then everything went into a frenzy. I left feeling gross. I don't think I will ever go back to that store. The Folsom one is so much nicer. read more

If you are a white female, expect to be treated very poorly by the black staff here. I was given attitude because I asked if they could open more registers when there was a line of 25 people. I was instead told to wait. When I finally got to the register, Victoria intentionally moved slow with my transaction because I asked for more registers to be opened. That is incredible conniving and vindictive. She rolled her eyes at me several times and made horrible facial expressions with zero respect for my time. However when a person of color came up to the counter she was greeted sickeningly sweet. This is repugnant! I would never recommend a white female shop here unless you want to be treated like you're a racist because of your skin color, and be treated like garbage for asking some common sense to be exercised during a busy time. read more
