My guy is tall, so we have a harder time. I also always check for blankets & fabric, as well as office supplies. Yep, for my home office. The outside area is an adventure, you never know what you will find. A few weeks ago I came for shorts and found a painting! I used to find great clothes, but sadly Deseret is getting so much "plastic" donations. Shein is taking over. I sew, so I would always find some great pieces to alter to my size & liking. The mens section is still good, but the womens is thin. Parking is always easy. The store is very clean, and Managers are very approachable for questions & pricing (the ladies, the men always seem stressed out and not so approachable. Just my opinion). The prices have gone up a little, but are still very good. My daughter lives in LA, and we always stop in when she is here. A Sacramento gem.

I ended up spending $71 on two North Face backpacks, and unfortunately, that wasn't even the worst part. On the way home, I noticed a strong, unpleasant odor coming from the backpacks. Once I got home and opened them up further to inspect the inside, I was disgusted to find what appeared to be actual black mold growing inside both bags. Items in this condition should NEVER have been put out on the sales floor, especially at the prices being charged. Mold isn't just a stain or normal wear--it's a serious cleanliness concern, and customers should be able to expect that items being sold have at least been properly inspected. I spent $71 on two backpacks that I ultimately felt I had to throw away. That is incredibly frustrating and such a waste of money. For a thrift store charging these kinds of prices, there absolutely needs to be better quality control and inspection of donated items before they're sold. Very disappointing experience, and I would strongly recommend thoroughly inspecting anything you purchase here, especially bags, clothing, or other fabric items.

I'm from LA... the Goodwills in my neighborhood don't organize or separate anything by size. The service is good too- the cashiers were very polite and helpful while we made a big purchase of a bunch of small things. As far as value goes, in the vast expanse of California thrift stores - Goodwill is on the pricier side. Thats the only reason I'm deducting a star here.

I told him that I needed to go and check out their collection for myself! I am so happy we did - Magnolia Antiques and Home Interiors is massive! I actually couldn't remember where one of the items I wanted was located at one point. They had a huge collection of Uranium glass all over the building! I did multiple loops checking out everything before finally settling on a plate and a set of salt and pepper shakers! Pricing on most items were fair! I honestly wanted to buy everything I saw. Staff were also friendly enough and helpful! They had so many amazing items for sale - I couldn't list them all if I tried.
