This is one of my favorite shops/galleries in the entire Sacramento area! Every time I am there I find something I want to buy from driftwood with meaningful words and sayings burned into it to unique welded metal works. Buying a gift here supports artists and is so much more fun than shopping at a Big Box store or at the mall. It is located in Old Roseville and even offers some classes for those who are interested. I also love the Wishing/Prayer Tree near the entrance. I always take a moment to add a message to this tree.

My best friend and I did the paint your pet class and it was so much fun. Our pictures turned out amazing and we made new friends!

So I love this place in old Roseville. I usually buy one art piece from here for my birthday. They have classes you can take to learn to paint, they usually paint dogs.. just saying. Anyways this place has unique pieces you will not find anywhere else. Well maybe online somewhere. But the creativity is amazing. Check it out. It's across the street from Ninja Sushi

They also offer seasonal classes such as wreath-making and chunky blanket weaving. I attended a private "Scrub & Bubbly" party where we made 3 different body scrubs to take home. The sweet owner Meleya was our instructor and had the mimosa bar and our work space, nicely organized with all of our tools and ingredients, set up when we arrived for our 90 minute class. She had some pre-printed recipe suggestions for us or we could make up our own concoctions as far as what scents we liked. Everyone's individual sugar scrubs turned out amazing! It was such a fun and enjoyable time, sipping on our mimosas and getting our hands dirty (and by that, I actually mean, getting our hands CLEAN AND SOFT AND SMELLING WONDERFUL!). Perfect spot to host a special event (birthdays, showers, etc.) or if you're just in a crafting mood. So gather your friends, make something awesome, and have a great time!

And let me tell you, I channeled my inner Bob Ross after 5 years and I am sooo impressed with MYSELF!!! ART has always been my WORST subject period! I hated it throughout my school years, and I failed miserably in it in High School. As I got older, here comes Paint Nite! Where you sip wine n paint. My first time in 2017, I didn't even drink my wine as to I was too concentrated on my painting! And that one was a masterpiece too. And tonight, was my time to SHINE AGAIN! I needed some "MEENA TIME" and while searching for Sacramento events, up came "Painting and Vino". Now, there is NO WINE at the event despite the name and they make that clear before booking. So please read before buying your ticket! BUT you're more than welcome to bring your own Vino and snacks!! Tonight Painting n Vino was held at, "Crystal Vibez" in Sacramento and hosted by the Sweet Wonderful Kathy!! She was the most nicest, kindest art instructor and she has so much patience! She showed us to paint a sunset overlooking an island. And she went step by step with what brushes, strokes, color blending and all to do! And a few hours later my masterpiece was born! And I made some new friends while painting away! You must sign up for a class, it's so much fun! And you meet all kinds of fun people and the best part is seeing everyone's masterpieces at the end! Each painting represents everyones uniqueness! I will be back Kathy!!

My girlfriend lives in Roseville and was thinking of joining there collaborative as she is an artist and is interested in fining a community to be a part of. From what I saw they show art work of local artists as part of the collaborative and in turn those artists volunteer their time to man the front desk and to assist at their events. It sounds like a nice set up to become involved without paying a lot of money to show your artwork in a gallery. I'm not part of it so don't quote me. Saturday, January 17th Event was: By Hand - An International Craft Nouveau Competition. We saw Crafts from all over the United States. We attended their opening reception. The show was juried by Harriete Estel Berman who picked 1-4th place and announced them while we were there. We got to mingle with the artists, enjoy some bites by Randy Peters, and listen to some wonderful live music. The art work was fabulous. My favorite was the handcrafted necklaces out of extremely light metal. I loved those pieces of art most because you can also wear them. I found the textile wall hangings fascinating. I quilt and it was amazing to see all the different patterns they stitched into their pieces of art. I loved the ceramics. I used to dabble in ceramics so it's wonderful to see people who have taken it to the next level and have show worthy pieces. My niece made us ramen bowls for Christmas. She made them on the wheel. If she keeps it up maybe one day she can show her work in a gallery. The bites. What a wonderful spread. I used to show in galleries and all we served was wine. Here they had a full spread, enough to call dinner. The main course was the beef sliders, the appetizers included stuffed mushrooms, puff pastries, and a pear and pumpkin or butternut squash purée. All was Devine. They even had some cookies and bars for dessert. I would definitely come back for another opening reception. And so will many others. I was surprised at how crowed it was at 5pm when it begin and it was crowed all the way up till the end at 7pm. I'm glad we go there early so we could partaken in all the goodness. If you are looking for something to do on a Saturday night check out one of their art openings. Or go anytime they are open to enjoy some beautiful artwork.
