I like this place. Not too many places around the area (sans the typical antique stores) where you can find some unique and changing salvage items. Not so much architectural salvage (the place isn't really big enough) but more piece salvage. We've picked up some cool items here and paid reasonably for them; not entirely sure what project my wife has in mind for the pieces but I'm sure they will be transformed (aka re-imagined). Only open a few days a month. It seems that it's usually the first Fri-Sun of the month. Their next 'show' dates are posted on the exterior wall to read as you drive by. I would give them 5 stars but minus 1 because I haven't found any way to find online (FB, Twitter, etc) where they post their open dates each month. Do that and I'll make it a 5er.

We love stopping by and browsing all of the unique finds. Every time we have stopped we have left with something(most of the time more than one something). Our son has the best time looking for his new treasure as well. One of our finds we turned into a picture display.

Hours on this flyer are a lie. Better off just going elsewhere, the lady here is rude.

Local flyer says they're open until 5pm on Sundays, but when we pulled up at 4pm today (Sunday) the doors were about to close. The lady that was bringing things inside from the parking lot allowed us to park, get out, walk up to her, and finally made us ask if she was open. She said no, but they would be open next weekend. We're not local, and had just driven out to Folsom from Midtown just to go to this place. Disappointed, and will not return, even if in the area.

Throwing away organic spices' containers purchased in manufacturers' packaging in PFAS BPA plastic wrappers, quasi-BPA free (are the containers truly BPA-free, eh?) containers, and disposing Scotch cellulose, chemical-laden sponges. Aside, I knew Home Goods would have air-tight, glass spice containers within their inventory; however, I couldn't find anymore glass spice containers. Still, I would have purchased more glass spice containers providing Home Goods would alert their Buyers purchasing as their high inventory turnover rather than low stock turn rate.

I rarely shop at Home Goods. Not because they don't have inventory or of the pricing. Totally…read moreopposite of that. The inventory is awesome, the prices are a bargain. The store is clean and organized. Merchandise is in excellent new condition. The staff is great. I can never go into the shop and walk out without buying or wanting to buy something. On my last visit, I was on a mission to buy a gift for someone that was not me. Mission accomplished for that. But gosh darn, I failed to walk out with just that. I bought other unattended items. Useful, needed items. The cashiering team was awesome. The cashier I was working with was a trainee. I asked for gift receipts, she worked with another to issue those. She wrapped up the fragile items and bagged them with care. I luv to shop here for kitchen, home decor, and organizational items. Prices are discounted from full retail. The merchandise is on trend. Current Shout Out items: ramen bowl and chopstick kit (Hello Kitty and Sanrio gang, Star Wars, and Night Before Christmas)$8.99. Peanuts (Snoopy and the gang) mugs $6, tumblers $8, and throw blankets $13. Halloween and Autumn decor. Bedside Lamps average $29; they have a larger and diverse selection right now... better than usual.

I was shopping at Lowes the other day and thought I would drop in next door to the Home Consignment…read moreshop to check out their latest inventory. I wasn't needing any "new to me" furniture, decor, or jewelry. But you know how that goes. This place is large in square footage. Stocked with gently previously owned furniture, home decor, and jewelry. The furniture quality is outstanding. The kinds of pieces solidly made not shoddy. The styles range from mid century, cherry wood Asian themed, modern farmhouse, and contemporary. So many styles. The pieces are staged in showroom type setting making everything eye catching, so much so I caught myself mentally doing a home makeup over in my mind. Hubs even found a framed lithograph art print of 1984 Laker Kareem Abdul Jabar by LeRoy Neiman. Then I happened upon the jewelry section. Letting out a big sigh, I luv looking at jewelry. They have beautiful pieces and some high end brands such as Rolex and Piguet watches, Tiffany. My eye was drawn to the vintage art deco jewelry set (necklace, bracelet, and earrings) of gold and lapis. Very unique. All the jewelry looked to be in excellent condition. The woman working the counter had a great attitude, so fun and easy to talk with. She entertained my gawking and questions. Not pushy in pressing a sale. Plus she was knowledgeable.

Customer service is readily available if you need it. It is nice to be able to meander however without employees breathing down your neck. This is a very big store. Things are well organized and in great condition. So many items from indoor/outdoor furniture, artificial plants, couch pillows, mirrors, framed art, and seasonal decor (see Mrs. Clause:)). There is also a Fine Jewelery section which you typically do not find at a busines like this. Setup like a department store... you may view the jewelry items under glass. Value? Well, the things I am typically looking for are artificial plants like a cactus for my patio or for an indoor area I am trying to refresh. They are extremely reasonable as opposed to Target or Home Goods. From reading the reviews, customers have found some nice items. Next time you are cruising through the TJ's parking lot and have some time on your hands consider a walk through this fun and interesting store. Who knows... you may find your very own special treasure! Happy shopping.
