Bracelets I bought

My mom found this place on Facebook, so we had to come check it out. We stopped by around noon on a Wednesday and were greeted right away. The employee asked if it was our first time, and when we said yes, she explained how they have over 100 vendors, each with their own little space, and encouraged us to ask if we had any questions. We ended up spending about an hour walking through every aisle to see each booth. There are so many cute vintage, antique, crafty, and thrifty-made things here. I picked up some new plant pots, fall pillows, Halloween pillowcases, and a few cute bracelets all at really great prices. I'm already planning to bring my daughter back because we saw vintage band tees, football jerseys, and the cutest jewelry in some of the booths. When we checked out, they told us about their rewards program, plus special events like dollar days and tea parties. I'm so excited about this place! With the great service, fun atmosphere, and affordable prices, I'll definitely be back.

Stop reading this and just head into this store. Really really really cool stuff here. If you have a highly intelligent possibly introverted and or highly intuitive friend best friend frenemy or just straight up favorite person you can't help but to hold contempt for this is the perfect place to find them a gift. From high dollar to ballin on a budget you're sure to spend a little bit more than anticipated and save some coin while you're at it.

All in great condition and thoughtfully displayed. It's clear there is pride in keeping the store tidy and curated. Fun and easy place to browse--good selection of unique dish-ware for such a small store. I'll definitely be back!

Was meeting with a friend in the area but had some time to kill so I stopped by "Upscale Thrift"…read morewhich was nearby. Figured I could browse their paperbacks and grab a book to read while I waited. There were some clothes racks outside their front entrance which I glanced at briefly. Definitely did not appear "upscale" as their name suggests. But I figured maybe inside would be better. Walked past the dresses section by the door and looked at pricing. Each item is individually priced, which is understandable for small businesses like this. But to price a simple dress for $25 that you'd find at Goodwill for maybe $8-10 seemed a little too steep. Other items seemed more fairly priced for a thrift store, like $5-6 for a top. I'm all about supporting local businesses so I figured I'd find a book or something small to purchase and be on my way. I was in the store probably 2 minutes tops when an older guy said to me, "Excuse me!" I thought he was a customer so I said "Yes?" Was bracing myself for a strange conversation since you never know what to expect when a random person starts talking to you. Had no idea he worked there. He then tells me that I'll need to check my bag at the front counter. I was in disbelief. I was just carrying a simple handbag, no huge tote or backpack. Just my normal purse that I carry everywhere and have never been stopped. I was so surprised by his request that the first thing I said was, "Me?" Like I was shocked that he would even think I'd try to shoplift or something. I guess they have shoplifting issues since there is a sign on their front door about checking in backpacks and large bags. But I didn't think it applied to me since I was just carrying a purse/handbag that's not considered large. I told the guy, "I'll just leave then" and I walked out. I was in disbelief that a thrift store that sells unwanted donated items that are not even "upscale" is having people check in their bags. I would not trust them to watch my purse at the counter, so why would I check it in? Just a bad sign when you walk into a business and want to support them but end up being made to feel like a potential shoplifter. Perhaps if the guy had been very apologetic and said it was a store policy that they have to enforce with everyone, then I wouldn't have been so taken aback. It's a thrift store. I get it that you're trying to make some money by stopping potential shoplifters, but this business needs to rethink how they approach first time customers. Not a good experience. Plenty of local businesses to support that treat their customers better.

I went into store to use my consignor credit after contract ended and several pieces that were labeled as "donated" on Ricochet were still on the floor for sale. If I would have known this would be the case at contract end (that my pieces would continue to be monetized after the contract ended) and not be donated to the charity mentioned at signing, I would of insisted my items were returned to me. Not cool. In response: Is this procedure of continuing to sale items after contract ends in the contract? I would suggest that, if it is not, it be added so consignor is aware on signing. It makes for better optics when a consignor sees both their item as " donated" on ricochet ( by mistake) and "for sale" after contract ends. To prevent future confusion, you might provide a copy of the contract -- either a hard copy or digital--so they can refer to it for all those items that you don't " prioritize" . In response: Absolutely positive my items by being, for instance, a pair of NWT Eileen Fisher denim pants in a 3x size. Check it. Those will be consigned under Amy Hanak.
