Stopped into Relove Consignment today to drop off a few items. They were already full for the day, which is usually the case. While there, I asked to try on a pair of sunglasses behind the counter priced at $36. I put my purse and my Tom Ford sunglasses on the counter while trying them on. The sunglasses felt a bit flimsy, and I simply asked if I could step just outside the door while leaving my personal items on the counter to check the sun protection since they also have clothing racks displayed outside. The older woman behind the counter very rudely told me "no" because they "have a lot of problems." I found that frustrating and inconsistent considering merchandise is left unattended outside the store. I cashed out my consignment account and won't be returning. Customer service and the way people are spoken to matters.o read more

Be very careful about reading the contract before consigning your clothing. I should have insisted I received back my clothing that didn't sell during contracted time frame. I went into store to use my consignor credit after contract ended and several pieces that were labeled as "donated" on Ricochet were still on the floor for sale. If I would have known this would be the case at contract end (that my pieces would continue to be monetized after the contract ended) and not be donated to the charity mentioned at signing, I would of insisted my items were returned to me. Not cool. In response: Is this procedure of continuing to sale items after contract ends in the contract? I would suggest that, if it is not, it be added so consignor is aware on signing. It makes for better optics when a consignor sees both their item as " donated" on ricochet ( by mistake) and "for sale" after contract ends. To prevent future confusion, you might provide a copy of the contract -- either a hard copy or digital--so they can refer to it for all those items that you don't " prioritize" . In response: Absolutely positive my items by being, for instance, a pair of NWT Eileen Fisher denim pants in a 3x size. Check it. Those will be consigned under Amy Hanak. read more

I first discovered ReLoveIt because we were dropped off while our vehicle was getting serviced, at the Peet's coffee, and I said to my wife, that place looks cute! What better time to shop than while we wait. Don't be mistaken -- this is a popular location for the locals. At any given time, there will be a line to have clothing assessed for consignment and the friendly chatter of whom knows whom during check out. I've found some really great pieces here, and the staff are always very accommodating for rooms, sizes, questions, and so forth. This was our first time shopping at ReLoveIt. My aunt recommended it so we decided to drive to Folsom and it didn't disappoint. The ladies working were super nice and they even had a little dish of Hershey's kisses at the counter as a sweet little treat. They have everything from clothes, to shoes, to purses. Everything is nicely arranged by style and size which makes it so much easier to look through. They have a sale rack in the back of the store along with dressing room to try stuff on. Decent place to consign. A little lacking in organization. They lost my items when I consigned there. They had added them to another account. I left quite a few items and didn't get much in return I never was to sure after the experience so I haven't consigned there since. That was about a year ago. I still shop there on occasion. I personally think they should be more picky with the clothing they choose. They sometimes select too many things that are just way too dated and then price a little too high. But every now and then I find something cute there. The people there are usually friendly. I have a regular consignment shop that I love it's just a longer drive up the hill in Placerville. This one is ok for me if I need a quick little consignment fix near my house. read more

The store is well organized by size, and color on the rack for tops, separate sections for: shorts, jeans, dresses, 50% off sale, shoe sizes, accessories (hats, purses, wallets, etc.) Sifting through items can feel overwhelming so it's always helpful when a store is well organized. My first time here today, just stumbled upon it after my derm appointment up the street. Oh my goodness! What a DELIGHTFUL women's consignment store right in our backyard! Great selection of name brand clothing and purses e.g. Tahari, Anthropologie, BananaRepublic, AnnTaylor, Coach, etc. The shop is well-organized. Clothing is organized into sizes, then color, making it very easy and efficient to browse through. Purses are displayed high along a couple of walls. Clean, lots of light, lots of mirrors and dressing rooms. Plenty of parking, easy to get to, on Bidwell next to Peet's, so you can grab your girlfriends and ooooh and aaaaah about your findings afterwards. I left with a couple of fitted Marc New York, Andrew Marc soft calf leather jackets in tan and black, and an adorable asymmetrical oatmeal cream sweater with a deep crewneck that is perfect for this season. All stylish, so adorable, these finds made my day! The vibe is friendly and welcoming. Loved Suzanne, too! I may come back for the vintage Coach pebble leather tote. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Consignment stores can be hit or miss in terms of the quality of what they take in and the selection. I'm here to tell you that ReLoveIt is a quality store in every sense. I don't visit consignment stores often, but a visit here has given me every reason to change that habit. The selection for a smaller shop was fantastic. Mostly women's clothes, but enough options to inspire anyone with the holidays approaching. They have colored tags for items on sale - extra motivation to make those purchases. All in all, they seem to do a good job of taking in clothing and items that people actually would want. I don't know much about consignment store pricing either, but they seem to keep the costs quite reasonable. If I'm back in Folsom soon I'll be sure to pay them another visit! read more

Before you give this shop your business, take the time to read the responses to the 1 star reviews from the business owner. Her responses are a reflection of her lack of quality customer service, polite communication or respect for her customers whom she would not be in business without. After the way I was spoken to by the business owner my business will no longer go to this establishment. I am a reasonable person and can appreciate and respect the reason policies are in place even though they might be frustrating but I can still have a reasonable understanding as to the why especially if expressed in a respectful manner. Unfortunately that was not how the policy was relayed by the employees nor the owner. There was absolutely no reason for the owner to be curt, terse and snarky. Treating your customers with kindness and courtesy is a much better policy for the owner as well as the employees. read more

*update* to owner's response. I said it's a scam because when I was in the store, you didn't make it right by offering the additional $8.60 as you are now. It's also a scam because according to your own employee, items don't get put out right away. It sits in the back for weeks. When I went in to look for my items, there were 7 items that wasn't on the racks. I went through the racks multiple times. This tells me consigners don't get full exposure of the clothes they consign with you. There were also two items that I netted around $2 because you guys discounted for a "stain" My clothes do not have stains or I wouldn't bring it in. Furthermore, when you accepted my items, "stains" were not found or you would not have accepted it. This current owner does not know how to run her business. The previous owner, also named Rachel was so much nicer and professional. I called and asked if I can get my items back before the contract date is up and was told I could if I came in and pulled the items myself. I found a few items but 7 were missing. Her employee told me that sometimes items don't get put out for weeks after drop off. She said that if they are size heavy on certain items, they will hold off on putting it out. I had two lululemon items that were lost. In Rachel's own words "it was five-fingered". When I went to pick up my remaining items, she only paid me $7 for two Lululemon items! She said it was marked down 50% off. How can you mark it down to 50% if they were stolen! And she doesn't know when it was stolen. She said she was already doing me a favor by giving my items back two weeks early. It's not my fault she has thieves in her store. When I told her what her own employee said about holding items for weeks before putting it out, she said it wasn't true. My son was with me when her employee said that. I have a witness who heard the same thing I did. She's a scam. Don't consign here. read more

I was in your store recently and noticed your prices are way too expensive now. Most of the styles you carry are very outdated. Even the ones with tags still on them. I think they were left in someone's closet unworn for far too long. I mean come on a sleeveless shirt for 24.99 at a consignment store is ridiculous. Pretty disappointing... needed to drop off some clothes for sale, called to verify that they accept it and was told that it can be dropped off at any day. It took some time to organize the trip, since I have quite a few things to sell-needed dry clean, and to coordinate help to carry boxes to the store. When we finally arrived, we were told that today they are taking " a little break" and do not accept clothes anymore... All this time spent, coordination and effort to drop off was wasted. The owner of this business took In brand new clothes that I had including shorts with the tags on them new from last year. When I called, they said they were taking shorts. Then the owner called me and said I'm sorry we are not taking shorts at this time, I can donate them I said no do not do that. I would like to pick them up and she said OK. I return to the store numerous times and I never received the four pair of new shorts back. Also, there is no record of my donation or any transaction to give me credit for them. I think she was a new owner at the time, but that really is no excuse. Don't do business here, she is not a good business person and then she said to me what is my name like she doesn't believe me so I lost my temper and had to leave the store. It's just ridiculous........ she is ridiculous and does not know how to deal with customers. I am a business owner. I would never treat a customer like this or steal from them. I was highly insulted when the owner of this business basically called me a liar pointing to herself and saying what's my name what's my name and I have never met you. She said to me.I looked up the voicemail that she sent me and I sent it to her cell phone in the voicemail. she says I just met you leaving your consignment at my store. I used to be a regular customer of this place. But recently one of the ladies at the store is being extremely rude and disrespectful. I sometimes bring my autistic child here and the lady is being rude to him although he isn't doing anything. Even after she was talked to about it and someone else made sure she understands, but she still said it's not our problem and you can keep the child outside the store.
