I love a good discount, who doesn't? Especially when it comes to high-end items. I like to hit up the TJ Maxx store in Roseville, because I can usually find something totally unexpected, and it makes the hunt worth it. My recent visit, my mind was blown. The store absolutely is very heavily stocked with anything and everything which is one of those mind blown moments, but everything is in such disarray that it creates a frustration trying to shop let alone search for things. I generally limit my shopping to the housewares and furnishing areas, and I just cannot wrap my mind around, trying to look at everything because there were empty carts stuck in the middle of several aisles, and it was really difficult to figure out sizes, etc., in the bedding area because nothing was labeled and nothing was in order. Well, I ended up not purchasing anything because of disarray, that doesn't mean that I won't be back for the hunt! read more

Omg this store is dangerous. I was shopping for a birthday gift. I kept finding all of the things I wanted. To many great things in pretty much every inch of the store. We had to wait at the jewelry counter for a few minutes. But she was busy with another customer. She noticed we were waiting and helped us right away. Since when did people not smile in customer service? Listen I understand we have our hard days but my interaction today with the dressing room lady just felt awkward and not pleasant. She looked super irritated that I had to try on clothes even after I said "thank you" she didn't even have an expression on her face. Just the strangest interaction. Did they fire all of their cleaning staff at this store? I went today and it was disgusting, with footprints and grime all over the floors and visible dirt under the aisle dividers. It was also an unorganized mess compared to what it used to be. I don't know if maybe they are in the process of changing things around but it was gross. The store should not be open in this condition. I also noticed a much longer line than usual, which indicates that they may have cut staff. This location used to be so much better. Went in today to look for random things on my day off. I had found a blow dryer with the comb (it's like a blowout hair dryer?) on clearance... IN the clearance area for $13.99 - note that I had found others for $16.99... I grabbed other things too, but while at the check out, the cashier girl saw the clearance tag (there was 2 red sticker over each other over the original price), she took it and went to the counter behind her and ripped both tags off and told me "this is the actual price. $24.99 do you still want it?" I said no because I had found it in the clearance area and there were more there on clearance. She proceeds to tell me it's not the correct price, people are doing this and putting it there. I told her there was more and all she said was Thanks for telling me. Did she discriminate me or judge me base on how I was dressed to assume I was falsely putting l clearance tags on things? There are 20 people in the check out line. They have 2 cashiers working. A manager keeps paging gee generically for additional cashiers, but no one shows up. She never calls for a specific person to come to their register. She doesn't man a register herself to speed it along. This is a chronic problem at this store. It will be worth the drive to go to the rocklin or Lincoln store. Lesson learned read more

The store looks like it's under remodeling but none the less the employees on the sales floor were reassuring and kind. The line was super long but the cashiers were amazing and fast. My cashier (Daniela) was super attentive and super kind. She was very informative on whatever questions i had and she's the reason why my shopping experience was 11/10!! She deserves a raise. I also over heard her with another customer who had issues with another cashier and Daniela did a great job of making that customer feel heard and fixed her issue. She's an angel!!! read more

On August 5th went into store to do a simple exchange. You know when you exchange one item for another. Well the toddler running the register refused even though I had my receipt in hand and just made my purchase. Then TJMaxx puts the clothes racks so close together customers run into each other while looking at clothes. I don't get it. Go to the Carmichael location or Rocklin. read more

Good selection and the store is orderly, but the staff ringing up your purchases are more interested in talking to each other rather than interacting with paying customers. I was at the store last Sunday afternoon. There are 5 cashiers at the front. NOT A SINGLE ONE looked at me much less acknowledged me as I paid for my purchases. They talked about their high schools and their friends, who the hung out with... blah blah blah while they take my payment and process it. Then they gave me my bag and didn't even say goodbye. I'm in line at TJ Max it's been more that 20 minutes line reach out to toys and beyond there is no enough cashiers and they are not fast or efficient to help consumers faster all it's chit chat and laughing while people waiting like they mocking us instead of helping and of course manger sleeping at back office. Just teach your cashiers to be polite and move faster in cases of not enough cashiers. Besides store looks horrible too. People also be aware that there are people behind you not time to take forever to chit chat or call wife's!! read more

I'm curious and concerned about the condition of our TJMaxx on Douglas. I frequented it recently, within the past couple of months and am wondering, just how long has it looked THIS BAD?? Not to stereotype the condition of a Ross but honestly, it's like a Ross with three times the merchandise. It's in a shambles. Why? New manager? Lack of staff? The AC doesn't even run cool enough. Corporate, please help get our Roseville store looking its best again. Not in 13 years have I seen it look this poorly managed/kept. Since I have been buying things between the Rockland crossings location, and the Douglas location of Roseville. I have learned that Douglas also has double the amount of product, not even out on the floor. "The back room is full" and they can't even organize what's out in the store! I really love it here. So much choices. My daughter and I bought two luggages and a few dresses. We looked everywhere for the perfect size traveling Japan, Hong Kong and Macau. We made sure we brought a measuring tape to get it as close to what ANA airline's requirements. We finally found exactly what we wanted. We looked everywhere because we wanted the correct sizing and if it fit to our design preference. We found two perfect ones. We found some dresses for Mothers Day Afternoon Tea. I love it here. I wish I am here at a normal time before or after the pandemic! The store has a lot of items that are no longer there. They sold out many items and be able to re-stock! This is one of a smaller TJ Maxx and looks a little dated. I am here before and they have fewer items than the other TJ Maxx. I guess is due to the size of the store. It is just getting worse now! The good thing is the store still looks clean and organized. No problem with parking. The shipping mall itself has taking care of the parking lot very well. read more

one bad potato cashier register 1 5-16-2023. I had been in store earlier. I like TJ Maxx. I picked out 2 dresses; kitchen brush; straw hat from men's section. I noticed the line was back to area you enter the store near jewelry counter. I couldn't wait so I put the dresses back where I got them; the hat; brush on luggage near them. I was going to Safeway up the street. After grocery shopping on way home pulled in to shopping center; got easy parking. Took a cart left near me. No long line so went; found one dress; hat; brush were where I left them. Go pleasantly to line maybe one person ahead of me; soon here Register 1. I approach happy; said I'm glad I found things I wanted; that I left when line was so long. It was to me as I've never seen it that way. The cashier seemed defensive. Mind you she didn't say anything about thank you for coming back; I'm glad you found things. She said the line wasn't long; could have been done in 10 minutes. I said to her you're very defensive; she didn't back off. I asked for manager feeling she was rude to me. They had just asked overhead about shopping experience; to let them know. Cashier called Mgr; a female walked up. I explain my grief. She ask questions about my things but I didn't feel her respect or see it. She had noticed I came in with a cart and I told her I'm a very considerate shopper; the cashier comments were rude; not necessary. I've been ill ; just getting out to shop pacing myself. My experience is usually good. I like to shop; browse; most cashiers are friendly to me. I'm 70. It seem the cashier had a problem with me; I'm not owning it. Think she needs reminder of customer service; you never know what a customer is dealing with. Frankly, she acted like a punk brat. I go to TJ Maxx once a week. Lately I've been leaving empty handed because their clothes are so unattractive. Bargain basement quality. They did have a few new dress pants for women but of course not in my size. This is not the only TJ Maxx I go to but I can say the same for all the locations I go to. They basically have the same clothes in all of them. Sorry to see the quality of their clothing declining. It seems that way at the mall too. read more

I love this TJ Maxx. I low key don't even want to put out a good review, because I'm worried more people will visit and take all the good stuff, but I won't do that. The findings are great here. The store is better organized than some stores I've been to. The dressing rooms aren't grossly nasty, because I hate going into dressing rooms and finding hairballs or dustballs on the floor. The staff are friendly. The prices are fair, but I do wish they were a little cheaper, so I can buy more stuff! read more

Would not shop here. Bad customer service. My wife and I are a young recently married couple. I was sitting on the bench as instructed by one of the associates waiting for my wife to come out of the dressing room and show me dresses. As we were leaving, the dressing room we were met by steaming employee and a mid-aged woman who claimed I "was looking at her" and it's very uncomfortable for a "man to look at her" as she is coming out of the fitting rooms. I was sitting on the bench scrolling though my phone until my wife came out into the the hallway wearing yet another dress. What surprised me weren't the delusional claims by an older woman, but the employees response who was talking very loud and rude to me making a scene. Employees name is Debbie. We paid for our purchase and returned to the fitting room where we were met by a manager by the name Malya who promised to address this with the employee, I asked to speak with Debbie. The staff is very hardworking and try their hardest to keep things clean. Also the line goes very fast or at least when I was there.

I will rate them zero if I can. I just walked out of the store mad! Shopper, be aware, don't leave your cart unattended even for a minute or they will take it and put away all the things you got on your cart! I was told an associate took the cart in the front and they will get it back for me and so I waited, after two minutes he came back and told me "unfortunately all the items on the cart been put away". It took me atleast an hour for those items and was just looking for something to get for my fur babies before I go to the cashier to check out. So effing maddening! read more

Yesterday me a customer paying for merchandise, chit chatting with the worker assisting at the counter was over heard by worker in the next counter ( while she was assisting another person) As I mentioned abt Recession when the amount showed up more than $300! This rude worker ( with a red turban on her head) on the other counter insulted me infront other customers passing a comment " No recession, it's all in your head". My upbringing didn't allow to insult her back though. Kindly keep workers who are patient, who are humble & who knows to deal with people no matter what their color of skin is, what their beliefs are & what they think in their head. They have a pretty good selection on a variety of items. We mostly hit up TJ Maxx for the card section for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, etc. they have great quality cards for cheap! The store is pretty clean but not my go to for shopping on clothing. It's too hard to sort through all that stuff to find that diamond in the rough. read more

Came in to purchase last minute things for my vacation, sunglasses, 1 pair of shorts and dog food. What should have been a 5 min wait in line took me 30mins.. wth!! Attached is a photo of the line. Mind you prior to taking this picture there was only one cashier until a lady in line complained to a customer representative was found shuffling hangers he then went on a register. great! I look to my left and notice a lady in purses mind you she has been there for literally 30mins, when its my turn to ring up my belongings I mentioned the wait was too long and is not ok, a manger needs to know. The gentleman said my manger is over there... well, well... the lady in purses is the manger "Sandra" assistant manager. Now, she see's the line and she hear over the intercom that help is needed. Not a bad place to check out the latest discount items on clothing, bath/body care, home decor and other things. It's really hit or miss at TJ Maxx. This location is pretty easy to get to, lots of parking and spacious. The store is fairly organized as expected and if you're familiar with Home Goods, TJ Maxx and Marshalls they're set up pretty much the same. I was here with my husband as we had extra time on our hands and were trying to kill time. I found some discounted name brand Shiseido facial cleanser (originally $25) for $12.99. I usually try to grab items I see that I need because oftentimes if I come back, it won't be here. I almost always try to hit up TJ Maxx or Marshalls for my shiseido products before I try the department stores. The clothing selection and name brands sold here vary. When I looked, there wasn't anything that really called to me. I could see that if we had more time, I could probably find a few pieces to take home. I had several sales associates ask me if I am finding what I'm looking for without being intrusive. I found some great tops and a cute necklace. SCORE!
