I love having this TJ Maxx so close to home, less than 2 miles away. They've been remodeling lately, and the store looks fantastic. It's incredibly organized right now, and the layout makes it really easy to shop. Even though the dressing rooms were temporarily closed during my last visit, they have a clear 30-day return policy so you can try things on at home. Plus, a friendly cashier let me know the dressing rooms should be open again within a week or two. They have a huge selection of brand-name purses, shoes, makeup, and home goods. The staff is always helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend this location! read more

This is my neighborhood TJ Maxx it's literally like 2 mins away from my house . Right next door to Target both my shopping addictions so it's very dangerous . Every-time I go to a quick Target run I end up at TJ Maxx . Anywho this store is very clean and organized they have new shipments I believe on Wednesdays. I get amazed every time I go they always have new cute stuff. They have so many name brand purses and shoes . I just went shopping the other day and got a few new outfits super cute pants and shirts . The staff is all very friendly I was shopping around without a cart and Madison asked me if I needed a cart I said I can get it . She was so kind and went and brought me one . She went above and beyond for me super kind she made my day . Overall this is a great store with good customer service I highly recommend checking it out . This review will hurt so today I went to do a return. I had gotten a few items take them home and wasn't happy with how they looked so I was going to return them and the one item I got it wasn't a three pack. It was a one pack manager on duty today was not very good with customer service because she was trying to tell me I can't return this it's a three pack. I told her when I bought this it was one item and I paid the $20 for it it's not working for me. I need to return it, and, she was arguing with me about it saying it's only know one item I can only give you seven dollars for it and I was just having a major attitude about it and I explain to her I don't work here when I got it it was an individual, so I have no control of how you guys stock your items and You know giving a really snotty attitude and at first I couldn't find my receipt so I went home and brought the receipt back showing. I'm like I bought four items the two right there need to be returned and she was just so rude about the whole thing and made a comment just do it will take the loss and I could not believe her attitude. How is it my problem That they didn't label them correctly why should I have to suffer the price of it when I paid the $20 for the item. This isn't right. I've worked retail a long time and never have. I been treated so rudely by a manager I could not believe how unprofessional she was. Her attitude was horrible and you would think it was coming out of her pocket, how she was acting working retail. I know this because I have worked for several companies that were retail and I know how you treat your customers and her attitude was horrible today not a good attitude to have when you're working retail. You should be a little nicer to you're paying customers not like you have a stick in your butt and I couldn't believe how she was throughout the entire transaction practically arguing with me really you're arguing with a pain customer what's wrong with you? It's not my fault that you guys can't train the employees correctly on how to label stuff. Why should I have to suffer and only get half of that back that doesn't seem right when I paid the price that was on the tag is not OK. My mom and I both go to this location all the time and never have. I been treated so rudely like I was today. I plan on doing the survey that they gave me to because little Miss stuck up manager today. Needs her attitude adjusted when I worked for other companies, in the past, I work for Ross people and return stuff all the time certain items did condition you could not return. These had the tags on them, and the fact that she was trying to fight me on my return was really unprofessional , I understand that some people will try to return stuff that doesn't belong to them. I am completely aware of this. My items had the tag showing it was purchased from TJ Maxx and I even went back to my house and got the receipt and I get treated so horribly not sure if I want to come back to this location given the fact on how horrible I was treated today very unprofessional I don't recommend this establishment for anybody. I needed to return a curling iron I bought and used once on a 1 inch strand of hair and realized the item did not live up to what the box stated. I owned the item for less than 24 hours and they refused to return it. I won't ever be shopping here again. I love TJ Maxx in Lincoln. It is my favorite place to go for clothing, shoes, linens, soaps, lotions, makeup and home accessories. I have bought 3 bathing suits there the last 5 years and am still wearing them. (I am in the pool 2-3 times a week.) So quality and price are good. In addition, staff is kind, helpful and readily available. I do not have one negative thing to say about the store and that is really something! read more

I came to return I it and the line had 9 people in line waiting to check out instead of calling up more cashiers they had their staff getting carts from outside when they had plenty of carts in store they also called no one from the floor it took over 20 mins to get to a cashier... also the two cashiers did not seem to care...several customers left carts with merchandise and walked out.... bad service read more

This place is nice. It's organized and clean. Got most of everything you need. Great for browsing all the stuff on clearance. Was going to buy this soap/dishwasher soap dispenser and thought it wouldn't fit around our sink...find out it does and it was 1/2 the price of what it was at in Amazon. I have been to the Lincoln TJ Maxx 2x to return rubber boots. They still have the tags on them and the receipt. They will not return them because "they've been used". I tried them on, walked in the rain, since they are rain boots. Now, they are used. He asked the manage someone else mentioned, she concurred, "they are used". THEY DON'T FIT. IE: calling me a liar. I took them again all nice and clean and NEW with tags and receipt. Same guy Jaime, said "you tried this before". I asked for corporate, pointed to the sign. And they carry a big selection of name brands.I can always find the clothes that I need which is hard because I am getting down to the smaller sizes. I also go for hair products and different house hold items. I have also bought name brand watches for half the price. They have a big selection of gym clothes. By far the best discount store. This rating is for the new location. The old location was great! I'm a TJ Maxx cardholder and I go to TJ Maxx way too often. I work in Davis, so I visit the Davis location during the week, but almost every weekend, I go to TJ Maxx in Lincoln. I've always loved TJ Maxx. I like wandering in the store and buying things I don't need. The atmosphere at the old location was always wonderful. The same greeter always greeted me with a, "Welcome back!" I went to this new location, and the atmosphere was different. The same greeter was there, who was awesome, as usual. But, everything else seemed different. Maybe it was the layout or the new staff? I'm not sure. I went to the TJ Maxx in Lincoln, on October 8th, and purchased a bunch of things I didn't need. I brought in an old Kate Spade cross body bag that I completely forgot about and never wore. Since the tags were still on, I thought I would ask if I can still return it. If not, it is no big deal---I will just give it away. Anyway, I get to the register, and the cashier was very friendly. I asked ONCE, if am able to return it. I told her, if not, it's not a big deal. She said she wasn't sure so she would ask the manager. This woman walks by, doesn't even look at me, and tells the cashier that I could not return it since I didn't not have a receipt. Which was fine. Like I said in the beginning, IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL. Then this "manager" walks by and whispers to the cashier. I think I overheard her say something about policy. Like I said, IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL. The manager made me feel terrible, like I was doing something wrong. In the end, the friendly cashier gave me a phone number to call if I wanted to ask if I can return it. I never called, because like I said, IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL. Honestly, I am literally at TJ Maxx about 3-4 times a week. After this experience, I don't think I want to go back, at least not to this location. Which is great for me, I guess, since I won't be spending money at TJ Maxx every week. read more

Buyer beware!!!!! Apparently you cannot return certain items. I bought a shirt but didn't have time to try it on. Later that week, when I did try it on, I realized it looked much better on the hanger. I thought I saved the receipt but couldn't find it. I figured that since the tags were still on it and I had never worn it, I could at least get store credit. Turns out, you can't return their "high end " items without a receipt. This is TJ Max, there are NO high end items. Now I'm stuck with a shirt I will never wear. I will never shop there again. They have a lousy selection and poor customer service. read more

I didn't get her name, but she's a blonde lady who just insulted me by saying that she would take off $1 for a broken item. She didn't even offer to see if there was another of the same item. Love this TJMAXX!! We don't even have one in my city, which is sad, but what am I gonna do? What I like most about this particular store is 1) Its really clean. Typically, I'm not a rack surfer, I like to go in, see something right off the bat, purchase, and exit. Why? Becuase most of these store's racks are so disorganized, the clothes look like they've been worn already, the sizes are all mixed up. But, not this place! Great deals! No headaches. read more

Here is the truth: In Lincoln we do not have many choices of this type of store in our City unless you travel to Rocklin and Roseville straight up the 65. If you are playing the comparison game then I would have to say it is better than the Ross next door which looks more like an indoor flea market. This store is very clean and it tells you that we do not have much to compete with in our town when you see the same people go into this store and they consider it a great social outing. The reason why I gave this store such a low rating is though the employees seem to be fairly helpful the management needs help. They have a tendency to be abrupt and rude when they are approached by customers and I do not like an environment in which managers are publicly scolding employees in front of the customers. For instance, this past December I was doing some Christmas shopping and while there was a long line one manager held everything up to publicly scold this young lady about how she needs to take her break on time. The young lady was trying to explain that she was simply attempting to help because the lines were so long. The manager actually said this in front of our entire line that was wondering if we would be able to purchase our items before our next haircut, and I quote, "They can wait!" I am thinking this manager possibly was trained previously as a TSA agent at an airport. read more

TJ Maxx you should be ashamed of the coordinator that works for you. I bought a knit top and after wearing it and washing it, i went to iron it and notice a bunch of small holes all over the front. You could not see them until it was on a light colored ironing board. I went to return it as I only had it 3 days and was told they don't return anything washed. I asked how I would have known it had holes all over until I went to iron it. She accused me of having something in my washing machine that caused all of the holes. Mind you I was all knits together and and this "something" only put holes in this one new shirt. She said they are an off price retailer and sometimes product is damaged. I said that's absolutely not true, it is not buyer beware throughout the store. She then told me I shouldn't have washed it, I said I would never return it not clean and she said they wouldn't take it back worn anyways. TJ Maxx I spend thousands a year in your stores and one $14.99 item will in fact make me never shop there again. I rarely return anything and this is the first defective item. I know my little $$ won't put you out of business but the hundreds of people I tell about the awful service might think again. read more

okay honestly i have felt this way about this location the last few times i've went in because of the same lady but i've never been able to catch her name . she rings me up like normal , asks if i would like to sign up for their rewards program i say no thank you , as i do not open credit cards with stores . no big deal she has to ask atleast once i get it . moving on she asks again ( that's twice ) again i politely decline . she finishes ringing me up tells me my total i realize i do not need all this and ask if i can not get certain items , she says no as i gave her cash and then changed my mind no big my bad . she says she'll return items after purchase . i'm thinking cool thanks , but THEN this lady asks me again if i wanted to sign up and she leads with implying that because they're card machine isn't working that it must be card , she said and i quote " are you sure you don't want to sign up i can save you 10 % if you're not gonna have enough " like dude one you're machine is malfunctioning and two you've already asked me 3 times and i have said no , and now you're implying that i don't have any money . my card runs through and she returns the items everything is fine . but i do think that they should not be able to ask again if somebody has already declined twice , very rude and pushy . if this location weren't convenient i don't think i would return . she very much made my experience bad and i don't appreciate being looked at as if i don't know what's going on . read more

I usually don't shop TJ Max but my cousin introduce me to how much home product they have so I was addicted and really wanted an elephant sculpture to complete my bedroom decoration. Any who let just cut to the chase I been searching at all TJ Max and I been getting really good customer service with the 3 Tj Max I went to. But this one really made me disappointed in all aspect of the store. Once I walk in the door never got greeted by any employees. As I kept shopping and browsing still nothing. The employees will just walk by me or trying to walk away really fast so I would never get a chance to ask a question. Anyways I just shop along and got what I needed and headed to the cash register. And the cashier did not say hi she literally say I will help you here. Wow amazing huh well as I was putting my stuff on the table I realize I found a wristlet in the cart I handed to her but the look on her face was priceless like a dumb founded look like it was in your cart how did you not know it was there. I literally did not see it it was under the child seat. Well she did not say thank you or anything she just put it behind and continue to ring me up, just no personality at all. Oh while we finish up and pay I did not get a thank you or come back again soon. Seriously it wasn't just her it basically everyone in the store with a frown and not wanting to help anyone. Or was it because out of all the store I was the only Asian.......well I guess I went in the wrong store. Probably will never return if I don't have to.This place really need a lift of friendliness and happiness and personality here. If you don't want to work then don't come in cause you ruin it to the patron who support your employer and who pay your paycheck. I just came from the new Lincoln TJ Maxx. I'm a card holder and I used to enjoy shopping at the old Lincoln location. The store was always neat and clean and the selection of merchandise was great. The new store misses the mark by along shot. I have never been in a TJ Maxx that looks so shabby. What happened??? The store is a mess and the merchandise looks like it is from an outlet to get rid of what they can't sell elsewhere. From this point on, I will drive to Roseville. I am appalled at my experience yesterday. After I tried items on, the dressing room associate was counting the items and proceeded to grab and rub my belly, said how cute and asked me when I was due. I told her I wasn't pregnant and she proceeded to say "oh your just chubby". I was shocked and said you should never say that to a woman. She said don't worry she is chubby too. I said so you really should know better to never say that to a woman. She didn't seem phased that she deeply offended me and continued on to talk about a time when she was doing maternity yoga with her daughter. I said about 3 times it was inappropriate for her to say that to a woman let alone a customer and again she just went on with her story. I walked away mortified. Not only did she physically touch me, she called me pregnant and chubby and never acknowledged it was wrong or apologized. She had no idea what my mental state was about weight - in fact I am in the middle of a weight loss journey, and this is not what I needed on Mother's Day when I was trying to have a peaceful visit and alone time since I am a mother of 3. I would have purchased more but I felt I couldn't go back to try things on because of how rude she was to me. I did report it at the front and they gave me 10% off and told me they will talk to her and to fill out this survey. I just filled out the survey but I'm so upset and will not be back (which saddens me because I love TJ Maxx and this location is close to me). read more

This TJMaxx sucks. I've been there since they have opened 3 times and every time I've gone I've either had to go back cause cashiers apparently hang on to part of customer items or like just recently went in with my daughter to look for shirts and shorts for the hot summer. She ended up leaving the dressing room that was closest to the counter where stood 3 ladies just talking about customers what they took or picked and when my daughter went to find bigger sizes she left one Bra in room with me cause she hadn't tried on and I was in room still I heard her say I left inside room I'll be back my mom is in there... the three ladies were laughing at her calling her possibly a little thief. Not realizing I was in room and heard everything I opened door loud and slammed and their clucking voices stopped and hurried to get my stuff together my daughter cane around and immediately wanted to leave she had tears in her eyes I knew exactly what happened and bothered her which I was so angry but refused for those 3 just inappropriate employees to get the mother bear to come out. Walked up to counter and payed for my items made it know that there was there ladies just over there talking bad about your customers and I'm pretty sure your manager doesn't appreciate or would want their customers to loose their cool but the way those chickens over there were clucking they better remember those walls are thin and that's all I said. What's sad I have a family member who has worked there for a few years and is well aware of lazy employees TJ Maxx I'd rather pay an extra $5 bucks next door than shop at a store who called my daughter an Little thief!!
