Alright, time for an update! Costco still remains a daunting, unfriendly and very troubling place for me. It's American mass consumerism at its prime and worst. I need to go when the fewest people are there, otherwise it feels like a horror movie... all those people running around with multiple carts overfilled with stuff, some actually frantic. Besides who really needs six jars of super sized mayonnaise unless you have a family of twelve or more? However, there are some redeeming factors to shopping here, and possibly getting a good deal. This still remains the ONLY Costco in the area I'll visit for otherwise being run over by a crazed shopper with a full pallet of merchandise. So. Some great finds- We got two new good quality camping chairs for the outdoor concerts we attend at a rock bottom price! Woo hoo! Then I found a large container, yet still manageable, of my favorite snack treat, Aussie Bites, at a great price. Please don't buy them out!!! The maple syrup is good quality and less expensive than anywhere. The paper goods can also be a very good deal. Just have a big storage space for a gazillion rolls of toilet paper. They were unfortunately out, or no longer carrying, two other favorites, the top sirloin hamburgers and the Korean dumplings (an easy and quick, delicious treat). I recommend perusing the aisles as one never knows what really interesting product or bargain is lurking in the depths of this monster store. Oh, and if you want a ginormous TV that will never fit anywhere or a casket, just in case, they have those too. Plus, it's fun to count how many giant SUVs are parked in compact parking spaces to be as close to the front door as possible! After all, there's enough walking inside! This is the only Costco I go to. It may be smaller than other locations, but not dealing with the dreaded gas station line makes it worth it. Instead, there are plenty of EV chargers. They say Costco on them but they run through Electrify America, and they are F-A-S-T. I got up to 230 miles (80% ish for me) in 10 minutes from nearly dead quickly after I shopped. The crowd has usually been lighter than other Costco locations, which makes getting in and out easier. I think part of that is the location. Sierra College Boulevard does not have a huge commercial strip or much dense housing beyond the two nearby shopping centers and small neighborhoods, so the store feels calmer than the bigger warehouses. If you like Costco but not the chaos, this location has been the one I keep coming back to. read more

A Costco is a Costco is a Costco... This relatively new one is convenient to the I-80 at Sierra College Blvd. The warehouse has adequate parking. It has lots of electric car charging stations. Across the road is a bunch more corporate shopping and dining. Little old Loomis is certainly growing quickly. I live a few miles away in Roseville. With this new Costco there are now 3 warehouses within 10 miles of my house. And soon a 4th Costco arrives at the corner of Baseline road at Fiddyment. Costco marketing department knows the business. What appears to be regional Costco over-saturation is probably smart revenue gneration in this wealthy part of Placer county. read more

Well... it's a Costco. This location, in Loomis, opened in late May of 2024. Back then it was a brand spanking new build from the ground up. It has no gas station though. But they do have a bunch of Tesla chargers. This Costco has the customary optical department, tire services, pharmacy, and food court. I popped on in for the very first time on a recent Sunday late afternoon. All the staff I encountered were terrific. Awesome attitudes. The sample gals were a hoot. It was busy, lots of people, with a nearly full parking lot. It wasn't crazy shoulder to shoulder cart crashing chaotic busy. However, I foresee it will gradually get to that scenario due to all the new houses being built in the area. read more

Costco is busy on the weekends but during the week it is a better time to shop. Of course your hardest thing is always find parking but once you do, you're a good to go. And this is also a good place to buy glasses if you need them read more

Overall I really like this Costco location. Easy to get in and out of compared to other busier locations. Love their seasonal items and staples such as chicken, eggs, fruit and produce. Return counter/membership area workers would not return an item which I had a recent receipt for. I like this Costco. There's never that many people here and it's super huge. These people seem to be helpful. In particular, a cashier named "Timur." He caught a big mistake for me. I was charged for two sets of AirPods even though I had one. I wasn't even charged for the other model I bought. Also, I was charged for two bottles of Beauty product. This guy dutifully noticed and refunded my money. This guy was super thorough. He looked at every single purchase and looked in my cart to .compare. He was amazing and very helpful. This new Costco location in Loomis is not as crowded, as the other one in Roseville. Shopping was easier and felt more relaxing than other locations. Parking was good as they have a large lot. One thing I noticed at this location is that they do not have Hawaiian poke. Not a big deal. Though, a few new items. read more

Love it here, There's not as much traffic as the other location and the staff are always nice here. I ran here as fast as I could on Sunday when I found out they had the du bai chocolates. I grabbed 3 bags and immediately tried them after I paid only to find out they didn't taste as expected. So I ended up returning the two unopened bags. The cashier was super nice and agreed that they didn't taste that good. read more

Rating for Tire Center Purchased tires and was told they would arrive in 3 days. Made appointment for 4 days out to be safe. Arrived at my appointment and was told the tires never came in. They said they would call when the tires arrived. Waited 4 more days- no call. I called and they weren't sure about the order. Checked and stated, yes they are back there. Made a new appointment for the install and was told it would take an hour. Just over 90 minutes later they were done. I was told the counter is not viewable from the bays and other Costco employees told me they could not help get me someone from tires but if you stand in a certain spot they can see you on the monitor. Won't be back. Citrus Heights and Folsom are both much better for tire service. read more

Hi, I actually like your store in Loomis. The only issue I've noticed is that some of the loaders are not helpful at all. It was my second time coming to your store needing assistance with loading garden soil into my car. The receipt checker by the door called for a loader, but the employee pretended not to hear it. I know he heard it because he looked right at me, and I waved, but he still pretended not to see me. This is very different from the Roseville Costco near the Hwy 65 entrance, where the loaders are very helpful. I have been to the Roseville location many times and have not experienced the issues I am having in Loomis. I just thought I would let you know about a situation, as I am certain management is not aware of it and would not tolerate this kind of behavior, particularly toward seniors. I would not ask for help if I were able to carry things myself. I appreciate your kind understanding and prompt attention to this matter. The newest Costco in our part of town. Habitating on the edge of Rocklin, this Loomis location was worth visiting just to quell my curious Costco addiction. It reminded me of the Citrus Heights set-up minus the garden/plant section. Just very thankful that this warehouse finally opened as it decongested Roseville's store. Halloween themed merch was out this time in June. Can't wait for the Christmas decor to be sold in a few months then. read more

Recently stopped by this Costco location, mostly based on some of the Yelp reviews, but also in search of a certain seasonal item. I wasn't very impressed. It's just an average Costco. The selection didn't seem particularly newer or larger than any other Costco I've been to lately. I mean, it's still Costco (so that's cool), it's just not special in any way as compared to other Costcos. As anyone who regularly shops at Costco might know by now, they have recently upgraded their check-in process to include electronic card scanners. Gone are the days of confidently trying to blend in with the family walking in in front of you. Which is honestly what I was doing until like, last October, when I finally paid for my own membership. That being said, I know my rights. I used to work at Costco (at a different location), and I know I'm allowed in the store for up to 30 days after my card expires. So, I scan my card, and it beeps. I say, "I need to renew. I'll do it at checkout." I was surprised that this almost turned into an issue. "Actually, they're telling me to have people just pop straight over to the membership counter." Three problems: 1) you're trying to make me wait in line twice and pay twice, and I've already stated that I'd prefer to do it all at once. 2) from a business perspective, it doesn't even make sense to try to make me do two separate transactions, because managers actually get bonuses for having a higher dollar amount per transaction. 3) I just don't appreciate being pressured into any sale in any way. I pushed back. I said, "I'm like, a week overdue." He gave me a serious side-eye, so I corrected that to, "I'm within thirty days." He finally said, "Okay," and let me in. I did not find the seasonal item I was looking for. I renewed my membership the next day at a different location BECAUSE the greeter had the opposite attitude-- I told him I was going straight to the membership counter and he said, "Or you can do it at checkout, either way." read more

In frustration I flagged down a bakery worker and was informed that I would have to go online to find it. I'm not sure but I thought that was required to be on the packaging. read more

** update ** So I discovered that I could've shopped without a membership as long as I would've paid a 5% surcharge, I wish I would've known this. I would've happily paid five dollars to not spend a 120 and then stand in line for a refund and waste the time. Poor management is all I can think of really bad decision-making at the top of the store. Customer service has definitely declined. I've been a member and it can be verified for well over 10 years of my life. I explained that there was two memberships in the household and asked for a day pass to shop as I was already at the checkout. I was told I have to buy the membership that I had $120 then get refunded to downgrade the membership to the $60 member membership. It's a petty policy so to match the management pettiness I left my food at the counter and decided to buy a better dinner for the evening for the family I'll continue to shop here but every single time I'm gonna ask how come we're not getting boxes anymore,how come the efforts from the employees are so low ..... Costco used to be a place where people could come and get treated fairly and reasonably, things are getting down to the contract letter in this place. Sam's Club this is your opportunity lol Lastly, to the employees that work here, I would encourage you to hold your management accountable when they are putting policies in place that really just are ridiculous and unreasonable. read more

Grateful, the Loomis Location has an incredible staff that actually cares about us (the Members) and takes the time to make sure we get what we need. Probably the best Costco around! I was also able to find everything I wanted and more. There is plenty of parking available. At the entrance, you scan your card to enter. It was not too crowded inside and we were able to check out quickly. The only thing they're missing is a gas station, but I guess that helps with traffic. read more

Customer service here is not great in general. This review is for the food court. I waited at the cashier checkout at the food court without acknowledgment for far too long while the people working only served the line of prepaid. It doesn't take anything to say "hi, we'll be right with you". I left without purchasing anything. read more

This new Costco is so clean and shiny and filled with employees who seem genuinely happy to work there. So much parking! My husband and I came here to buy a computer for his dad. We got a great deal on a monitor, but they didn't have as many desktop and laptop options as we have at own home Costcos in Nevada. read more

Horrible experience on a Sunday afternoon with cashier OP#24 bald guy named William. Cashier was so rude & rushing me and my mom the whole time while we got our OWN box and organized our OWN groceries while he started checking out the person behind us at the same time. He didn't even ask us if we wanted a box, he just stared at us in annoyance while we lifted heavy waters, detergents ect and tried to box things best we could. Absolutely useless cart baggers when they just stare at you to hurry up and don't even offer to help you. Very disappointed in today's visit super rude customer service. Didn't ask us how our day was and was totally annoyed the whole time rolling his eyes as we visibly struggled to lift & box ourselves. Then proceeded to ask the person behind us if they wanted a box. Our grandmother was tired and decided to wait in the car while we shopped. It was a warmer day and one of the employees brought her some water which was so thoughtful and kind. I was nice to see plenty of parking. Plenty of carts and you scan your membership to go in. Everything seems more backwards than the other Costco's. You enter on the left and exit on the right. It was a little busy but not as busy as other Costco. There were plenty of samples. Staff was friendly there. read more

It might be a little early to rate this since it just opened this month, so I'll probably update this again later on. Here's my first impression: Parking is wonderful in this new location. It actually has sufficient parking, which is so rare for a Costco. The Roseville one is always much too packed and increases my stress level. I will never go to that location again. It's one of the biggest Costcos in the area and seems noticeably larger than the Roseville one. It has a great stock of the usual goods. There's usually very little variation among Costcos, and this one seems very typical inside. Membership is quite expensive at $60/$120 annually. Both Target and Walmart are next door. They're both cheap and don't require me to buy in bulk, so Costco has high competition. Do I really need a Costco membership in addition to Walmart, Target, and Amazon.com? Probably not. One downside is that there is no Costco gas station here, but I think that's a blessing in disguise since Costco gas stations always create a traffic nightmare. I never bother waiting in line anyways. It's not worth the decrease in my lifespan waiting in line while breathing in car exhaust fumes. Like most Costcos, it closes early at 7pm on Saturday and Sundays, which is shame since that's when I usually do my shopping. The other department stores in the region open earlier and close much later. read more

This is the new Costco off Sierra College and it's so much calmer than the one off hey 65. That place use to give me so much anxiety because of all the people pushing there way through. The parking is so much better as well. I never liked Costco until I came to this store and the one in yuba City is good too. They have all the good stuff there. The rotisserie chicken for $5 and the bakery aww man it is the BEST!!! There prices aren't actually any cheaper than other stores. About the same. Just a few things are cheaper. A+++ read more

Went in today to shop a few specific items and got most of em. The hang ten mens long sleeve sun protection shirts had nothing but small sizes left. It looked like someone decided to buy em all and re-sell somewhere else. I noticed no limit on the sign so makes sense but a bummer. read more
