Very nice location and city. Store is clean and organized and all products look in place. You don't expect perfection when you go dollar tree. Its a budget place but the workers here seem to really care. Love the city here - Rocklin has it all but still when you enter the random supermarket the laundry detergent isn't under lock and key. Bleach, odd cooking stuff and things that you don't plan to keep forever are perfect to buy here. Heck, why not buy some home decor here? Change it up once in a while and its cheap enough to do so. Stimulate your brain with a new wall hanging or photo frame. I heard rats get stupid if you don't change up their surroundings. Dollar Tree is my cheapskate guilty pleasure. I particularly like the cheap lithium batteries packs. Priced 80% lower than Duracells at WalMart. Also buy my cleaning products here. Awesome Bleach is $1.50 gallon, it's the same thing as the $7 big name brand bleach at Safeway. This Dollar Tree store is big, well organized, staffed by nice friendly , helpful employees. I had a really frustrating experience at this Dollar Tree on Wednesday, July 23rd around 6 PM. I came in to return a few items I had bought from another Dollar Tree location. The woman working there (long hair) was immediately dismissive and told me I had to return them to the store I bought them from--no explanation, no help, just attitude. When I tried to clarify, she rudely asked if I had the receipt and the card I used, in a way that was completely unprofessional. One of the items was a presser, and she refused to take it back, saying it had two pieces, but she wouldn't even show me the one on the shelf so I could compare. She just shut me down and walked off. I've never had a problem at other Dollar Tree locations, but the way I was treated here was completely disrespectful. If this is how they handle customer service, I won't be coming back to this store again. read more

We have visited this dollar tree a couple times during the holidays. We are very familiar with dollar tree having shopped at other Ca location's. This location was awarded the top performing location for manager and the staff for 2024- out if over 200 locations! We found the staff very happy and helpful, particularly Josie. Knowing this store was selected as the too location out of 200 + stores means the staff has exceptionally supporter the customers and manager . Hope the staff got a reward! Good to know ! read more

Lines are long and move slowly which is just something I accept with the dollar tree, but this location in particular is just bad. They never have cleaning tools in stock, and most importantly, the carts cannot leave the store. If you're buying a large amount or for those of us with babies or toddlers that sit in the cart, this is a huge issue. I get not allowing them past a certain boundary in the lot, but to not even be able to push the cart out of the store is just ridiculous. Will be shopping elsewhere. read more

This was my first time coming to this store. Well organized and clean. It was fully staffed and the staff was professional and pleasant. It is located in a nice area and is surrounded by other stores like Sprouts etc. A lot of parking and location is near the freeway. This dollar tree is . The staff are friendly. The manager actually cares. They're stocked with name brand candy, unlike other dollar trees. They have party supplies nicely organized. Also nicely stocked in the balloon section (both helium and non helium). Being proactive with Mother's Day and making balloon bouquets ahead of time, saving us all time. I love this location... I prefer to go to this Dollar Tree location than the one closer to my home. It is located somewhere between the Blue Oaks Century Theater and RC Willey on Lonetree Blvd in Rocklin. Plenty of parking in an open area. The inside of the store is clean, bright and spacious. The aisles are a little wider than other locations. The shelves are always well stocked and merchandise organized and neatly hung or placed in shelves. I love coming here for their gift wrapping supplies and mostly for the bargain greeting cards. Nothing beats Hallmark cards that are priced at a deal. The Hallmark 'heartline' collection sell for 2/$1. "Expressions" collection are only $1 and they have them in every occasion! These are exclusive greeting cards sold at the perfect price! I've occasionally bought materials here to make party favors and also seasonal decors to decorate table settings. I love the savings! I came in the morning on my way home from my NOC shift job and had a better attitude and greeting than the cashier. There was a caucasian lady paying for a few balloons in front of me and the cashier ANETTE greeted her and offered to tie the balloons to a weight for her. I was up next and I assumed i was going to be treated the same so I greeted her with enthusiasm. I was purchasing balloons as well, I Asked for a weight and she told me where to get them, got it myself and then she told me " you can tie them yourself" in a super rude tone. This is pit stop for snacks and beverages for movie goers attending the Blue Oaks theatre adjacent to this store. They have a wide array of dollar items including helium-filled balloons. This is my new favorite Dollar Tree. They are a particularly large location with lots of seasonal and regular items. I'm a big fan of picking up cheap crafts to do with my kiddo or seasonal decorations. I really like the kitchen department too. My kid loves to help me in the kitchen so I have double ladles and spatulas so she can work right next to me. I've gotten cookie sheets for baking that have lasted over a year and others for crafts like painting. They have lots of beauty supplies and things you tend to go through quickly like hair ties and bows. Finally, they have a ton of wrapping stuff so with multiple birthday parties, teacher gifts, and holidays with kids it's easy to make up a nicely wrapped basket. read more

I just left Dollar Tree and I have to say the manager there is an ,,,,,,,, His attitude was ugly when I asked him about being able to have animals in the store now. People don't respect the no pets allowed except service animals of course which now days everyone has these days,, but this manager seemed very upset about it and made sure to speak loud enough for the older lady with a none service dog to hear. I just got back from this location and I witnessed a male worker (who I believe is the manager) pay for a family's items with his own money. The quality of the products are well, cheap, so I can't give it 5 stars. Yes it's all dollar items but I often see items that aren't more expensive anywhere else. (Also $1 at Walmart for example) I do, however, love their teacher section. I've been here many times but this time was the worst. The lines were ridiculously long this time and cashiers may be quick, but we shouldn't be waiting in a line with 5+ people in each line. The cashier scanned my items and double scanned an item and decided to skip scanning another item instead of fixing the error. Say I wanted to return or exchange the item he didn't scan. Well, I wouldn't be able to because it's not on the receipt. Instead of fixing his error, he compensated in an inappropriate way, in my opinion. I don't know what the policy is, but this act was just negligent and not okay. When I went back in line, he explained that he just simply didn't scan another item and the total is still what it should be. It's the principle behind it, not that you got the math right. read more

I wish I could have given a better review I came here tonight with my bff to get some snacks we didn't receive a greeting when coming into this establishment and while we looked around I noticed a lot of open candy containers we decided to look around for a little bit before deciding to make are purchase the cashier working tonight was not very friendly at all he said hi and that all he said he didn't make much eye contact or much communication while ringing up are order and his cellphone was visibly noticeable on his check stand which looks unprofessional when you are working with the public you shouldn't have your phone out whenever customers are around it doesn't look good when I left with my bff she had mentioned to me that he wasn't friendly at all and I told her I noticed that to we have both worked in retail before and we know how you should treat customers while shopping in your establishment you should make eye contact smile keep small communications while ringing up your customer and should thank them for shopping here we didn't get a thank you either this establishment needs to have there cashiers work on there customer service skills read more

Renne a store associate. Has a thing for making judgemental call in a public speaking way. She did not help me or ask. In fact she just likes to tell and order a customer to do her job. No application needed minors were welcomed. Never felt so horrible for poor treatment. 6 year olds felt like a SLAVE. When I spoke to her about it she told me I was welcomed to her mistreatment. Best place in Rocklin for party supplies! They have everything and a good selection. Most recently I went in for some birthday balloons and the cashier was super quick to take my order, ring me up and get another associate to make me balloons. The gentleman that made my balloons was super quick. The whole process was seamless, it took less than 10 minutes. I was impressed and will go there from now on. I go here often and have never had a problem, but earlier today I went in and the service was absolutely horrid. First of all, one of the employees was standing directly next to me talking on her phone asking someone to bring her food. This conversation lasted about 5 minutes. I was appalled she would be on her phone during work, but was even more shocked that she would do it so openly, going as far as doing it right next to a customer. Once the employee hung up her phone, she proceeded to yell down the aisle to her coworker and they started complaining about work and were joking about wanting to quit. Once again, I was standing right there, along with many others in the store. I then went to the checkout line and the cashier asked if I would like my glass items wrapped, to which I said yes. She seemed disgusted and annoyed that I would make her do extra work, and when I was leaving I thanked her and wished her a good day, to which she promptly ignored me. I am extremely unhappy with this service, coupled with the fact that not once during my visit did someone offer to help me or answer any questions. Needless to say, I will not be returning. read more
