There was plenty of parking spots during that weekday at 9pm. I immediately noticed that they were neighbors to a pizza place, a smoke shop and a CBD store. Businesses that complement each other? The cafe had a nice color tone to it, creating a pleasant atmosphere ideal for dessert consumption. There were only two crew members (helpful) manning the counter. With all the pending orders, our built-from-scratch dishes came out past 15 minutes. It's good we didn't mind the wait as we made it up with catching-up banter. The ChocoSushi was smothered in two-toned chocolatey syrup and was perfectly warm and succulent. Sliced strawberries & bananas... yes, please! The Dubai Crepe was also delicious. My Dubai chocolate greenhorn friends absolutely loved the blend of Nutella, kunafa and pistachio. These would've been perfect with coffee but it was kinda late for a caffeine fix. Well, ChocoLit Cafe satisfied our cravings. Food wasn't too sweet, just perfect! This is a great spot for dessert, and we'll definitely be back for more late night sweet cravings. I felt like I was in an adult version of Willy Wonka! Everything was organized and well stocked which was aesthetically pleasing! Not only do they have someone at the door offering free samples to lure in people, but they will also let you try any kind of chocolate. I was in heaven! We took home an assortment of chocolate pieces plus these marshmallow type chocolates that came in dark, milk, coconut and even strawberry flavor! It is a great place to grab a gift for someone - they had lots of gift box ideas! I will be keeping them in mind if I ever need anything. You can even get little individual packaged chocolates as well - kind of like how Ghirardelli does it, only better! Everyone working at Laderach was super nice and knowledgeable! One of the employees told me that the chocolate is flown in fresh from Switzerland every week and it really shows! Overall, Laderach might be my new favorite chocolate shop next to Ginger Elizabeth's! I will be visiting every time I am at the Roseville Galleria now - and you should be to! My favorite items are the crepes (so fragrant!) strawberry dubai cups (kataifi is always crunchy and the strawberries are so fresh) and the strawberry dubai platters (the strawberries, chocolate and kataifi are all seperated so you eat them charcuterie style). Their chocolate is really high quality, doesn't taste artificial and is constantly being warmed by a chocolate fountain so the chocolate is perfectly warm when you get your dessert. If you try to save an item the chocolate WILL harden so that's how you know it's real, good quality chocolate. Service can take a bit of time but it's worth it. They also have dirty soda and ice cream too.
