Terrible pharmacy. The staff including the older lady pharmacist are incompetent on so many levels. The tech entered the date wrong multiple times, even after I explained to her how to do it, she still wasn't understanding what I was saying... they NEVER have your regular meds in stock, and they don't automatically re order if you request a refill and they are out of stock, they wait for you to call after several days of just sayings it's "out of stock " ... this is the MOST rude, and lazy, and incompetent pharmacy I've EVER encountered. I switched to the blue oaks location.., completely different experience . If you are having issues at this location switch to blue oaks and save your sanity. read more

i normally have always had good customer service here but today as I was trying to do a return the older women with the grey hair i didn't catch her name maybe suzanne unsure - stated we couldn't do a return bc we didn't have our ID - okay that's fine but then i asked what else we would so we can come back and make it smooth she said she didn't know what we needed. I asked if i need to bring the original card and she said she didn't know how do you not know? - she also stated it is illegal to drive without a license since I forgot it at home. Then I asked where I can get my photo pickup and stated no one was over there and she said " well I can't be everywhere" horrible customer service I can't believe she thinks that's an acceptable way to talk to a paying customer. I have never had any problem with this pharmacy or any other Walgreens. The prescriptions are auto refilled and the refills come in on time. They send a text message and an email to let me know the prescription is ready for pick up. Sometimes there is a line at the pick- up window, but it is not the pharmacists' fault. Some customers argue about the price or ask questions over and over again. The employees in the pharmacy are very polite, especially with the elderly people who are sometimes confused and ask the same question over and over again. read more

Not sure why the poor reviews. This Walgreen's always has really nice people and has what we need. It has saved us on two separate trips to this area when either we were ill or those we were visiting were. It's great to find meds, personal care items and some food all in one place. For those who are concerned with Covid, please note they have boxes by the very front so you can get in and grab them, pay and be on your way. Better yet order ahead and pick up at the drive thru. Anyway, this place has it all. Be sure and stop by the next time you need a prescription filled and want to grab some laundry detergent without going to a huge store. We were stuck in the pharmacy drive thru line for over 30 minutes. Totally unacceptable! If one person needs an extended amount of time to get a script filled they need to be told to come back around in x number of minutes. Or reopen the second lane to alleviate the issue. If I could give this pharmacy zero stars I would. My husband and I had an appointment for a vaccine and we waited 40 minutes, even after checking in. Eventually we went up to the counter and they said we didn't have an appointment (we had to show them the email confirmation for the date on time). We waited 20 more minutes after this for the pharmacist to tell us that the shot wasn't needed, even when our doctor told us to set up an appointment. The pharmacist has the worst attitude, would never schedule another appointment here again. I'd rather drive further away to get better service. read more

Go there after work to find my prescription, ask questions, and told I have an attitude. A pharmacist by the name of Briana with blond hair is the absolute worse. The staff has terrible customer service, they never have prescriptions ready or even worse, sometimes cannot find the prescription order. They do not know how to work with the insurance companies and most of the time tell me the insurance doesn't cover the prescription, even after I've used the insurance for this prescription before. They've closed the pharmacy without notice early right after they made me come back for a prescription since they forgot to fill it, then I drive down and it was closed. Walgreens in Rocklin has consistently told me they are short of staff. Upon looking at Walgreen's complaints online, matters of slow/poor business practices are common with this store and the entire retail pharmacy operation. Walgreens complaints spread nationwide. During my online search. Particularly, California's Attorney General found the corporation liable for $2.8 million for taking time off employee's timecards and denying employees rest breaks. This takes me back to their shortness of staff issues and how that affects customers of their retail pharmacy operations. If you need medicine quick, don't rely on Walgreens to deliver. Walgreens (corporate name: Walgreens Boots Alliance) have harmed their reputation by not hiring enough staff, taking up to 5 hours to dispense medication to a needy customer, having no trained professional staff or pharmacist to speak to for holidays due to increase needs for medication during serious viral outbreaks is pretty serious. Dispensing of important patient medicine (anti-biotics) while being short on staffing during the holidays, taking up to 5 hours to dispense medication, failure to send out a pharmacist when picking up my medication, keeping me on hold for 30 minutes only to report the medication is not ready, after 5 hours is critical to a patient's health. Unfortunately, if you are sick and in need of immediate medication, suggest you pick another more reliable pharmacy. For someone in need of immediate medicine, this pharmacy is not for you! read more

In filling a new prescription recently I was told by a pharmacist the the medication was not covered by my insurances, Medicare and United Healthcare, and I would need to pay the full cost, $120. My spose was livid about this and conducted research with Medicare and United Healthcare, and learned that, indeed, this particular medication was fully covered by insurance. Returning to the store to seek a refund of my $120 and have the cost properly covered by Medicare, I was told that Walgreens could not help me and that I must go through Medicare. DOES THIS MAKE SENSE TO ANYONE? Walgreens made a mistake. Walgreens wrongly took my $120. Why should I have to work through Medicare to resolve an error made by Walgreens? This is the kind of pitiful baloney that is destroying Walgreens customer service reputation, and deservedly so. read more

Walgreens a couple of years ago was my favorite pharmacy. The one on Sunset blvd in Rocklin but something happened and I saw a lot of new employees and the old ones gone. I don't know if it is management or what but customer service plummeted with the pharmacy in the last year. I see employees working but getting my refills or new prescriptions filled takes way too long. Like i said, I see employees in the back working like crazy but it's all taking forever and I have heard others complain about the timing of the pharmacy so I don't know who to blame about this. My friend and I dropped off a disposable camera about a week ago. We were told it would be ready in one week. My friend went last Monday to see if our pictures were ready , and a nice man told her they would be ready the next day(Tuesday). It's Wednesday and we just went to pick them up. Apparently they were not there, when we brought up how we were notified it was ready the man (Rob the shiftlead) was rude and talked down to us like we were stupid. Then told us it would be ready in 2-3 weeks??? I'm pretty sure it takes at least a week or a week and a half. Poor customer service, don't come here to get your pictures developed or anything else involving the photo department. Usually everyone is nice and quick, but rob the shiftlead, your a dick and you need a new job. Completely ruined my Walgreens experience. read more

The staff here was pretty unhelpful the other day when I went in to purchase eye drops for pink eye. I proceeded to the medication aisle and wasn't able to find what I needed. Then, as a store associate walked by I flagged her down to ask where the meds were for conjunctivitis. She replied that she believed those meds would be in the eye care section "on the other side". I took "the other side" to mean the other side of the store and not the next aisle. So I walked over a few aisles to the other corner and found nothing but eye care and makeup products. Then I crossed paths with the same associate (short, brunette, somewhat curvy, early to mid twenties). I asked her again for clarification and mentioned she told me the meds were in this side of the store. She replied in a loud, snarky manner that the meds I was looking for were on the other side of the display in the next aisle. She hadn't been that clear earlier, and I was embarrassed as several nearby shoppers witnessed the exchange. I tried to get her name but she wore her store ID on her belt at waist level (which in most corporate and customer service settings is unacceptable). I finally located my eye drops and proceeded to checkout. The cashier (a middle aged lady in her early sixties with reddish colored hair) was the only checkout associate and seemed quite harried as there were several people in line. She scanned my $8.49 item and quoted a price over $11. I remarked the item cost $8.49 and she retorted that with sales tax, the cost was $11-something. Now, Placer County sales tax is 7.25 pct and that amount wouldn't boost the price to that level. The cashier seemed more focused on moving the line and attempted to cover her scanning error by asking me to enter my phone number. Then she pointed out I had rewards but needed to enter my email. She eventually corrected the error but did not acknowledge she was in error. I understand she was by herself up there with a line of customers, but her demeanor as well as that of the floor associate left a lot to be desired. read more

Went to fill a Rx. They said not in stock why don't you go check another pharmacy. Drove out to another they didn't have it. Went back to tell them to order it. Lady looked exasperated that I had come back like she didn't want to spend the time to order it. They ordered it. Apparently it came in 11 days ago but NO phone call or text. Happened to drive by so asked it was ready. They said oh it was ready before but now they have to fill it again so you need to come back. (Last time I filled this same med they said it would take "20 min" and it took 20 seconds because it was the standard quality of one bottle. They are so anti customer service it is pathetic. I used to go to CVS but the closest one closed. Addendum earlier the woman literally said come back this afternoon. My husband went to pick it up and now they say will be ready tomorrow. So will I go tomorrow and they will say the next day? And then when I wait a few days will say oh yeah we put that back the stock because you didn't pick it up??? Went to the pharmacy customer service girl for help finding a product. She meandered talking with other staff and after a few minutes she finally came over. Showed her the picture of the product I was looking for on my phone. She abruptly pointed in the direction of the products that I had already spent the last 5 minutes looking for it. She rudely said "Well that's where it would be". I asked if she could please check the store inventory? She said, "they didn't have a inventory list". I said, "really?" I am mobility limited and this would be a great help to me. Eric quickly responded that he would make sure the meds were available to me at the window. His very kind demeanor was a blessing. I needed to get some medicine since my husband and I are both sick. I opt for the drive thru as I think it will be faster. Nope! 20 mins in the line and the lady refuses to give me my meds says it's only Covid testing yet there's no sign saying they won't give you anything else and the app doesn't tell you. Last time I was here was to get a Covid booster which they were over 30 mins for an appt. On. So either super late or super rude. Meh...I know this location is fairly new, but the outside of the building and main entrance seem to be falling apart. There are a ton of cracks in the walls. This isn't going to stop me from buying my hairspray but just a mental note. Once inside the floors are dirty, there are several black spots all over and you can tell the tile hasn't been buffed in a while. I got my hairspray, took a gander at the "last chance" end cap (my favorite part about Walgreens) grabbed an LED lighted keychain for .30 cents, awesome! While checking out the cashier is OVERLY friendly and annoying bubbly with the older man in front of me...this is causing my check out to take longer than normal. I check out, less conversation on her part....overall consensus, I may need more coffee, but I'm not all warm and fuzzy. read more
