We wanted ceramic tile for our bathroom floors, but weren't quite sure the exact style. Floor & Decor had so many options! We were able to find a nice large format file option that we really liked. The staff helped us to select the right number of boxes plus loose pieces to ensure we'd have enough. They also were able to recommend the right kind of grout material. As with tiling, there were loads of grout colors. We found just what we wanted. The prices were competitive, as well. Our new tile looks beautiful in our bathrooms. read more

Floor and decor service is not good at all especially when you have to return anything. without receipt even with ID, forget it as they try their best not to take it back and even accuse stolen items even with CC statements showing or say they couldn't find in their system and even with receipts they still give you a hard time claiming the item is already return or give us a hard time. We bought about $1000 and only return about $80. go to Home Depot or Lowe is much better. They should think twice about the way they treat their customers as they will not be mind. read more

Why 5 stars?? Because they care! Shockingly great service, the staff are helpful and incredibly willing to do whatever needed to ensure a great experience. In our case we bought tile, returned it and some samples and bought the tile we wanted. In our case the staff helped to load and unload, they were happy, and in both cases it was at the end of their day near closing time. Excellent choices, competitive prices, and experts who help make the right decisions. I am not going to name competitors other than to say they include big box hardware stores and stores dedicated to tile and flooring. Besides the strange hours at some locations, and the absence of people wanting to make a sale let alone help, this place is a standout and does it well! read more

Met with designer to remodel entire bathroom. Chose a vanity w/sink, floor & shower tiles, shower pan, shower & sink hardware, lights, towel & TP bars, and mirror. Got toilet elsewhere. Items arrived but had to pick-up vanity in Sacramento. Don't own a truck so we rented a U-Haul to get vanity in Sacramento. $100. Contractor begins work and starts opening items up. Discovered we got a gray tile instead of beige and just went with it. But not what I wanted. We did an inventory to ensure we received everything but didn't open boxes, to minimize space to contractor to work. F&D did not tell us that with porcelain shower pans, you must put a shower liner underneath. First thing contractor asked for. So, off to Home Depot to buy. Then told we got the wrong shower hardware. Sold a tub/shower combo set for a shower. Too many valves. Off to store for that. Contractor opened the vanity box and big chip in sink. F&D told us we'd have to return entire vanity to El Dorado because they were the only store with our vanity. Hired movers $200 for doing that. He starts putting shower doors up for a 60" wide shower pan and F&D ordered a 57" wide door. This was Saturday and manufacturers customer service is closed weekends. Contractor went to 4 stores before he found a metal strip to attach to provided strip to account for the 1 1/2 " gap left after tiling. My new custom (expensive) shower door is gerryrigged. The two lengths are also off by 1/8 inch. I was in touch with F&D mgrs during all the problems. Told not much they could do. After the shower door fiasco Oliver, a store mgr, said they could knock off $250 for my troubles. The hired transportation alone cost me more than that. I told them they could keep their pathetic money! A complete disaster from start to finish. A mediocre bathroom I spent thousands on, and a very bitter taste in my mouth!!! I was even able to talk to the designer +2 workers on the floor that gave me the best customer service I've ever had considering there was probably six other people in the whole store. Thank you for staying open during this crazy mania time. This store is well organized, great selection and displayed beautifully... Buyer beware... I ordered 16 large format limestone tiles and almost half of them arrived broken - 6 out of 16. I emailed them photos of the broken tiles and called to see if they could replace them but they refuse to deliver replacements even thought THEY ARRIVED BROKEN and I paid $250 to have them delivered. They said the only way they'd replace them is if I bring them back myself to swap them out. Mind you, these are 18" x 36" stone tiles and are maybe 40 lb. each. I drive a tiny sports car and I'm a small woman. I'm seriously considering filing a small claims complaint. Would definitely never buy anything from this store again. If you are buying tile, maybe choose a place that values customer service. This place clearly doesn't care about you after your tile gets there, even if it arrives in pieces. UPDATE: I spoke with corporate about what happened and they had the (store manager?) call me from the store that delivered the tile and he said he would have someone come swap out the broken pieces on Thurs or Fri, that he'd call me Wednesday and let me know. Never heard from him again. Called him and left a message on Friday. No response. Since my contractor has already started, I went ahead and loaded up the broken pieces into my tiny car and the very nice people working the front helped me swap out and reload the tile. The people who work here are nice and helpful. The people who manage this place are incompetent business people. I'll never go back... and I'm just about to remodel a kitchen and build a flagstone patio and paver driveway. Guess they are doing so well they don't need customers. read more

This place actually sucks. With the pandemic and surge in home improvement projects, it is difficult to get materials at a reasonable price. My wife purchased floor tile for our bathroom. It was not available at this location but was at another location. The tile was paid for and "ordered." About a week later we were notified that we needed to "pay" for shipping to have the tile brought to the store, a detail that our first cashier was not aware of. So we made another trip and payed the shipping cost. Next almost 4 weeks pass. No updates. Made multiple calls were made. Phone calls would get answered by staff and then would have call "dropped" when placed on hold or transferred to warehouse. Finally an additional 4 calls today, was on hold for 45 min. No one was willing/ able to give any update on our order. Since they already took my money, I had to go into the store with my kids. Long line at check out and then finally another associate came to ask us what our issue was. She told us that our tile had already been received and was sitting in the back. I didn't ask how long it had been sitting there. We ordered 16 boxes of tile. One stack of tile arrived with no box. since none of the pieces appeared broken, we took it because only lord knows what it would have taken to replace the tiles. I loaded the material and left as quickly as I could. Key Points: Pricing is cheap, so don't expect any type of customer service prices for some items are attractive, so if you must buy something from this company, make sure they have everything you need in hand. Make sure you can take what ever you purchase with you on the same day. Any kind of ordering, delivery, or other usual service will be a fiasco at this location. Construction can be a real pain, this place will simply add to it. Good luck! read more

It is their corporate policy to not allow shoppers without a mask who have a legitimate health issue that makes them unable to wear one. I bought flooring from them in the past and was going to purchase flooring from them for my entire home. Do Not Waste Your Time or Money at Floor & Decor. The extremely short return policy is there to protect their terrible floors and the wrong knowledge their employees will give you. If you purchase a floor from Floor & Decor you will NEED TO USE A SQUARE TO MEASURE EVERY PIECE OF FLOORING YOU LAY DOWN. Around 1/4th of the flooring we purchased did not have 90 degree angles. This was not one batch, we purchased well over 750 square feet, and it all came out like the pictures. It is not worth your time, money, or sanity. I will never spend another dime at Floor and Decor. We purchased a fixer at the beginning of the pandemic. It's hard to find all the materials we needed but I have been buying as much as possible from F&D. Unfortunately due to material shortages I've had to make design changes. When I went to return less than $300 of materials, I was denied, told to call a number and out of luck. With the current supply chain issues, you'd think they'd be a little more flexible on returns. All on my F&D credit card, which I'll be cutting up immediately after posting this review. I hope the $300 was worth losing a customer who's been buying for years. Not another dime..... We have been planning a master bathroom remodel for some time and have been overwhelmed with our various design choices. We visited the store several times and felt we needed help with the choices. We elected to sign up for the free design service they offer, and we are so happy we did! Hailey M. was our design consultant. She confirmed our appointment and was ready to go the minute we got there. She walked us through the design options, color schemes and helped us find the perfect flooring, shower floor, wall tile, niche tile and grout color. She was very patient, accommodating and demonstrated a great deal of knowledge throughout our process. We would have never got through this without Hailey's help, and we would have paid for a designer to do what she did for free. Highly recommended! read more

We recently had our kitchen backsplash installed and did most of our shopping/researching here. It's sometimes difficult to find people to help since they are still so short staffed due to COVID, but when you do they are extremely knowledgeable. This place is impressive in that it is a big warehouse store with tons of tiles that are cheap to moderately priced. You can even make an appointment with the in house designers to assist you in your remodels. They offer free DIY classes on Saturday per the website. I've never attended one though. Plus the majority of employees are knowledgeable and if not, they will help get someone who is. But take notice of the quality and consistency of the tiles. When we went through the open boxes to check out the quality and consistency, we noticed that the color gradients and textures varied too much for our liking. Considering the return policy is restrictive, we chose not to purchase our tiles here and instead just bought the building materials from them. Plus they don't have samples. You have to buy a full size tile. After purchasing our supplies, we did have a snafu when the grout mix we purchased was not the correct color per the sticker label on the container. The other three containers of the same color matched, but the color for this one container did not match the others. So we stopped our project to exchange the mix. It was a ordeal that a manager was called to tell us we can not exchange it for another color because it is opened. Plus he was adamant that it was a good product, we agreed it was a good product but just want the correct color with a direct exchange. After explaining all this in detail and a mini standoff, he agreed to an exchange. read more

I just bought some glue for hardwood floor $160 per 4 gal, once open it has 3 inch dry on top so you only get 2 1/2 out of it because the rest has clumps, I want to talk to the manager but he hide in his office and I hear on the radio there is nothing I can do, well for instance starting by removing the old products of the shelves and credit back to the costumer because you are selling products that are old and expired and the worst is the I got short and I have to purchase the small 2gal $106 more to finish 8 sq/ft. You might not believe me when I say we had all 3 tiles that I needed for my bathroom remodel picked out within 15 -20 mins tops! This woman knows what she is doing! She was attentive, professional, kind and smiled the whole time. I have seen Floor & Decor's commercials about having one on one help with a designer, but I honestly thought it was to good to be true! This has been the best experience I've had in using tile in our remodeling. Our designer, Edwin, is fantastic!!! His suggestions have been spot on and has made this fun. We are on our second bathroom and will no doubt be back when we redo our fireplace. I love the return policy. A generous 90 days and they will even take back single tiles, not just boxes. I don't know anyone else that will do that. Everyone from the front cashiers to the help throughout the store has been very willing to help and make sure I'm taken care of. I attended the Grand Opening of Floor and Decor and I'm really excited about their selection of Stone, Tile and Wood floors. The showroom is HUGE! Its filled with floor tile, decorative tile, hardwoods, laminate and stone. The prices were shocking reasonable. On display are some great samples. I especially like that they have experts on staff to answer project questions and to help you with your designs. I am going to return next week to get some stacked stone for an outdoor fireplace I'm working on. The materials price is 1/2 of what I was quoted by a contractor. read more

I wasn't in the least bit excited to pick out flooring on the way here, but after a couple hours in this vast warehouse, I was a convert. Not only do they have the best pricing, they have customer service that is as good or better than anywhere else. We are in the process of a remodel and decided to ditch our battered original wooden floor for a new composite with a wood veneer. We went with an acacia that was at least 2 bucks cheaper per square foot than anywhere else we've been. It was still expensive since I have a lot of square footage to cover, but it ended up saving me at least a thousand Washingtons. At first we turned down an offer for help from Nate, an employee who was in a neighboring aisle. But he stuck around as he knew questions would eventually arise. He was super helpful and patient with us. He even offered for us to call him back with advice on installation. All in all a great experience shopping for flooring. Bought my flooring during the Covid-19 shutdown. Wasn't able to go inside, but that wasnt a problem. Since I already visited the store before knew the SKU of the flooring that I needed.. Bought $700 worth of flooring for a project. Also asked for a few pieces of transitions to complete the project. The sales person informed me that they did not carry the transitions for this floor, at this store. But there was a store in TX that had a few pieces. She proceeded to give me a slip of paper, with the store number, a phone number and SKU of the product I needed. I was told to call the number and have them ship from the one store in TX to this one. She also stated that if it was delivered to the store there would be no cost, versus if I shipped to my home. I picked up my flooring and headed home. Called the number on the slip. Waited on hold for 45 mins. It turned out this was a corporate number. I then described what I needed. Gave the customer service rep all the info I had. She then explained that there would be an additional $20 shipping charge, to transfer stock from one store to another. Not only that but it would take 21 days to be shipped. I told them, that was not what I was told at the store. I eventually hung up without ordering the transitions. I called the store back and spoke to a manager. He said that I was told incorrectly about no shipping charge. I tried to explain my confusion about how they could sell a product, but then not have all the pieces required to complete the project. And in order to get all pieces required the customer is responsible to pay extra. He tried to explain that they don't have the space to hold ALL transitions for every flooring that they carry. I understood that.. What i didn't understand is why I would need to pay for it.. I explained how I "Home Depot or Lowe's" didn't have something in stock, they would order it and it would be transferred or shipped to their store, with no extra cost to the customer. They didn't see the issue, and ultimately came to a stalemate. Finally I asked if I need to order would I need to call the corporate number and wait on hold again. At this point he was able to email me a "quote", in which I would be able to follow a link and complete my order. I had to laugh at this point... Because, if they had the ability to send me a quote in the first place, then why did I spend 45 mins on hold with corporate, to order myself? Ultimately I ordered similar transitions from Lowe's, because they did not charge me extra. All in all, the flooring was nice quality (thus the rating). But the fact that I had to jump through hoops to order all the pieces was annoying and a complete waste of my time. Also the fact they were going to charge me for something that is commonly needed to complete the project. They should have this in stock, or at least make accommodations without putting the onus on the customer. I will not be back to Floor and Decor for my future flooring projects. read more

I want to start off by being transparent, I was a former employee and I can not speak ill of the company or my time there. I have however had an experience that has turned me off from this location. I was visiting Floor and Decor Rocklin at the end January where I have frequented because of my past relationships. While parked in the customer loading area, I was having a conversation with the pro manager. An employee, who recognized me, came out side wielding a hammer and I'm sure with no bad intentions, swung the hammer at me causing it to slip out of his hand and strike my leg. While I would have usually let this go, the hammer shattered my new iPhone 11. I am self employed and use this phone as my primary source of communication. After speaking with the store manager, Floor and decor has taken no responsibility for the situation after promising they would rectify it. read more

I am so excited for my beautiful new flooring! I placed my order for my luxury vinyl plank tonight. I was advised by Mark who was super helpful and knowledgeable, but the only reason this review isn't a full 5 stars (which it should be) is because of an employee in black and a black apron named "Randy." He was yelling at Mark (who was kindly helping me collect the underlayment) to hurry up and get me and my mother out of the store. I was willing to brush this off- I hadn't realized they close at 6, so we were a couple minutes over. However, once we got to the front of the store to pay (a nice tidy $3,000 sale), Randy was parked right up front, staring blankly as we began to check out. Weird, but not rude... yet. However, as the sweet woman rang us out, confirmed our contact info and pickup time, he started to bark interjections at her. When she asked if we'd be taking any home this evening, he shouted "no." I understand wanting to go home after a shift, but there is absolutely no reason to be rude to customers, let alone ones who are making a purchase and have had a good experience thus far. There also is no excuse to be so rude to other employees, because he sucked the energy from those around him like a grumpy black hole. So I had originally posted a 3 star review but after having the flooring installed and watching it buckle as soon a any small amount of water gets on it. I have realized this stuff is complete junk. I was told I could put this in my bathroom, kitchen and laundry room. The guy said it was water resistant enough and I wouldn't have to worry about getting it a little wet. What a joke!! The salesmen at this place will tell you anything to make a sale. This place sells inferior products at best. Complete junk! I've had my flooring for 6 months and it has buckled everywhere and it draws the dirt to it. It's got static in it so it collects dust and dirt. I will have to put new flooring in within a year. This might be a really great store but I'll most likely never know. Walked in at 9:25 a.m. on a Tuesday. People at the register were both sitting down, so you know it wasn't busy. I had never been here before so I started in the design area looking at counter tops. 10 minutes went by and I was never approached for help. I go back to the front register people to ask if I'm in the right place and they point to direct me to another counter in the back and said they would radio someone for help. I stood there for 15 more minutes and was never greeted or approached for help. I did notice that every single hot mom shopping had 1 or 2 male employees following them around diligently waiting to be asked a question. Walked out. The folks at Floor and Decor were compassionate, understanding and helpful. They checked in with me to see how I was coming along and continued to store my materials in their warehouse. My mom was having her bathroom remodeled during the first months of the shut-down. We were trying to get tile during this time and looking on line is not quite the same. However on the 1st day of the reopening I went to the Floor Decor in Roseville and I was lucky enough to get Shannon Spainhower to help me. She listened to our vision and then took me to just the right tile. She was very knowledgeable and made it easy to put together the right tiles. Our installer was very impressed with the tile we got he wants to use that for his own bathroom remodel. Also the prices were very reasonable with the tile costing only $450.00 to tile up to a 15 foot ceiling. She also gave me good advise about cleaners for tile and sealers.
