San Rafael Marin Harbor Freight sold me this cart BUT, there was a hole in the box; the washers were missing!

4/18/2019: I had NO CHOICE but, replenish my tools . . . AGAIN! Why does this constantly happen to me, i.e., countless times where the tools in my possession suddenly grow "legs" disappearing from my tool crib, eh? WHY I OUGHTTA SUCKER PUNCH THOSE INDIVIDUALS TO THE MOON! Humph~How dare anyone steal my tools, AGAIN! Anyway, I bought some other miscellaneous tool supplies this shopping trip which might be considered highly valuable: While camping throughout the coming years, i.e., I bought fluorescent zip ties advantageously attach to tent tie-downs and tent stakes as a safety measure so, nobody trips/stubs their toes on tent stakes or tie-downs, I bought a dimmable and a wireless wall switch light for my front entrance door, and a plethora of tools for my tool crib. In addition, I needed a small pick ax for tilling the soil in my backyard: The soil is so hard and the hill is too steep standing up; I'll be kneeling using the pick ax digging holes planting my organic vegetables. Moreover, I bought another heavy-duty construction hammer, a petite hammer for pulling up tent stakes, a folding saw pruner when my organic fruit trees needs a trim, and a set of elongated pliers which I thought costing $5.99 but, actually the pliers costs $7.99~GRRRRRR . . . You must purchase a membership in order, receiving tools for $5.99-I felt absolutely misled! Best of all, I LOVE receiving free schwag from Harbor Freight: I received a free flashlight this shopping trip~YAY!!!!!

I spend quite of money at this location, today I spent $199.58 today and didn't get a "thank you" or an acknowledgement from Tammy, just turns her attention else where and just hands me the receipt. But I need to add Kelly is very kind, helpfully and hard working.

Great tool selection at great prices. Great sales. You need to pay $30/year to take advantage of their sales.

They stand head and shoulders above the big competitors like home depot and lowes, especially when it comes to customer service and satisfaction! While prices may not be lower, they are fairly comparable and the quality is at least as good as the Goliath hardware stores. I appreciate Ace and will continue to visit them for years to come, I'm sure!

My experience at this store today was nothing short of exhausting and deeply unprofessional. In my…read moreopinion, owner/manager Lance Gresko demonstrated a striking lack of integrity, patience, basic managerial competence, and even the most elementary math skills. I came in to make a simple Thanksgiving purchase and exchanged one mistaken item for another. The exchange was rung up incorrectly at a higher price than it should have been. After checking my receipt in my car, I went back inside to get the issue resolved. The assistant manager admitted he couldn't figure out the discrepancy, so I requested to speak with the actual manager. Lance approached me with a dismissive, almost irritated attitude, insisting "his computer could not be wrong." Despite me calmly showing him the numbers on a calculator--numbers anyone could verify--he repeatedly refused to walk through the transaction or check the math in a logical way. I entered the same simple calculation in front of him three times, yet it still didn't click. Only after persistent asking did he reluctantly agree to ring the item through as a pretend sale, and sure enough, the numbers on his own system matched what I had been trying to show him from the beginning. He then disappeared to the back again, presumably to re-check what was now undeniably obvious. After over 30 minutes of back-and-forth, he finally admitted he and the system had been wrong the entire time. At one point, while we were literally looking at the numbers on his screen, he even threatened to kick me out simply because I said, "Can we just let logic prevail that $29.xx minus a $10 credit is $19.xx?" Once the refund was finally issued, I asked for his name and the corporate number. Instead of providing them, he told me he was the owner and ordered me to leave the store. As I walked out, an employee collecting carts yelled an insult at me referencing my long hair--a level of childishness I honestly found more pathetic than offensive. He said "nice pony tail, faggot." In my personal experience, Lance showed a profound lack of professionalism and integrity, coupled with an inability to handle a basic customer-service scenario or perform simple arithmetic. This visit made it clear to me that customer concerns are treated as annoyances rather than responsibilities. I won't be returning. Right after I posted this on Google reviews they made a fake review. Expect the same here.

UPDATE: Welp... three and a half years after the opening of…read moreEmigh Ace Hardware things are even more incredible. Seems like a strange word, incredible, for a hardware store? This Emigh has become an El Dorado Hill's favorite. Hands down. It is definitely the community store for everyone. The customer service EXCEEDS (yes in caps) any I have received anywhere. You walk in and you, the paying customer, are greeted and asked if you need help. I am still amazed by that. The many times I have come to Emighs for very specific needs 99 percent ends with just the right gadget, advice or information I needed. I would not stand a chance at the big box stores (hello... anyone working here:)) The value of having a store of this quality so close by is priceless. Yes, you may pay a little more here but time is money in my book. A car phone holder? Yes! They had it. And the employee who led me directly to the small cache of choices even installed it in my car!!! Big thank you shout out for that. Now you know why "incredible " is the perfect adjective for describing EDH Emigh. It is starting to look a lot like Christmas!!! Wow! Last night I walked in the front door to the largest display of Christmas inventory I have yet to see. I had to catch my breath. I immediately texted the GF and she replied back, oh yes, she had already been there a week ago and purchased some very cool holiday items. She is always in the know. You have to see it to believe it. There is definitely no need to go to Pottery World:). Thank you to whomever owns this store. It makes us all feel very lucky to have you. The takeaway... you do not have to live in El Dorado Hills to shop here. So come on down. P.S. Select Apple Hill pies in the refrigerated bin! I kid you not.

I brought the old cartridge with me, hoping to get some guidance on finding the right replacement. Unfortunately, the associate I spoke with offered no real help and simply suggested that I might need entirely new faucets. I then went to Lowe's, where an employee immediately identified the correct part: the Danco 3G-3C cartridge. It fit perfectly. Ironically, Ace carries this same part online, which made the lack of assistance there even more disappointing.

I use the Home Depot iphone app. If I can get a cell service signal (only 50% of the time) I look up the item, the supposed location is cited by aisle and bay. And sometimes it just ain't there. It's been moved to another mysterious location. Then it's the hunt to find a wandering employee in an orange color apron. After failure of trying that for 10 minutes exasperarated I just walk all the way over to the customer help desk / returns area to ask an employee there. Hopefully they can be helpful. Then it's the trudge back to where the item is supposedly shelved. I do get in my daily steps when visiting a Home Depot. For all this effort I get a 10% discount (lumber doesn't qualify) because I was a soldier in the US Army for 7 years. Also brought a socket to warranty that's been sitting on my tool box. Stopped at customer service first to handle the "lifetime warranty" husky socket. They put in my phone number, scanned the socket and told me I need the original receipt to warrant the socket. Since when? This is the only place to buy this socket. So I walked out over a $6 socket because they wouldn't warranty their own damn lifetime warranty tool. Went to Lowe's and spent over $2300 within the next hour. Good job Home Depot on having a ridiculous policy that costed you today's and a lot of future sales. I won't be back, but I doubt their customer service cares.
