The receipt that confirms I am a legitimate customer.

"Traeger Grill Sold Defective - No Help from Assistant Manager. Be Warned." I purchased a Traeger grill from Ace Hardware in Roseville, CA, and it was defective right out of the box. The auger wouldn't turn, which means pellets couldn't move to the firebox, making the grill completely unusable. Per Traeger's own instructions, you're supposed to season the grill with pellets to test if it works. That's when I discovered the problem. I called the store immediately to try to resolve it. I was transferred to Corey from the BBQ department, who put me on hold, and then the call was disconnected. I tried again, with the same result, twice more. On the fourth call, I finally got in touch with Corey again and explained the situation. I told him at this point that I just wanted to return the grill and get a refund. He said, "If you have the receipt, bring it in and we'll take care of it." However, when I arrived today, receipt in hand, the Assistant Manager, Matt, told me that he could not return it because "pellets were run through it." I explained that this step is part of Traeger's standard setup process, and I even read him Ace's own return policy in-store. He still refused to honor it. Matt wasn't yelling, but he was condescending and dismissive, and he raised his voice because I challenged him to honor their return policy. He treated me like I was making the whole thing up, even questioning whether I had been hung up on earlier. I asked to speak with the store owner, and Matt handed me a business card. But the "owner's number" on the card? It just rings back to the store. I called it right in front of him, and the cashier picked up immediately. When I asked, "Isn't this the owner's number?" Matt replied, "He's home with his family. You can call between 7 am and 4 pm and ask for him then." He then walked away, saying he was "trying to help me," while refusing to take back a $500 grill that was dead on arrival. When I asked who was above him, he said he was second in command to the owner and reminded me that Ace stores are individually owned, as if that meant they're above accountability. Bottom line: I was sold a defective product, treated like a liar, and denied a fair return. I've since filed a dispute with my credit card company. Home Depot or Costco would have resolved this issue immediately, with professionalism and a refund, without requiring a lengthy process. Avoid this store if you value customer service, honesty, or working equipment.

Great price for a good quality rocking chair.

Ace is the place to go when Lowe's and Home Depot come up short. Great selection. Reasonable prices. Friendly people.

Does this store carry hand held power saw?

They do, but you can get it cheaper just about anywhere else, and they're return policy won't allow you to return it, go to HD or Lowes

Romanoff Renovations did the installation and they did a great job. Thank you Andrew and Robin from Home Depot for putting this project together, especially considering some of the challenges we faced. We were nervous based on some of the reviews we read but Andrew promised us that the job would be done on time and correctly and it was. We're so pleased that we will be ordering blinds, appliances and possibly kitchen cabinets and counters. Based on the quality of the products and installation, we highly recommend Home Depot!

They were certainly fast at picking up the items we didn't want, but completely missed the quarter rounds on the initial delivery. It has taken almost two weeks to have the right pieces delivered and our contractor is almost finished with the job. Certain employees in the flooring department (who shall remain nameless) failed to follow up with calls to us, as promised, to keep us apprised of when we could expect delivery. All we got were excuses, not a single apology for the horrific service. We were going to purchase many more items, but now refuse to buy anything from this store. We're going to Lowes and Amazon for the remaining items we need. Stay far away from this store and save yourself a lot of stress. Horrible customer service.

I use the Home Depot iphone app. If I can get a cell service signal (only 50% of the time) I look up the item, the supposed location is cited by aisle and bay. And sometimes it just ain't there. It's been moved to another mysterious location. Then it's the hunt to find a wandering employee in an orange color apron. After failure of trying that for 10 minutes exasperarated I just walk all the way over to the customer help desk / returns area to ask an employee there. Hopefully they can be helpful. Then it's the trudge back to where the item is supposedly shelved. I do get in my daily steps when visiting a Home Depot. For all this effort I get a 10% discount (lumber doesn't qualify) because I was a soldier in the US Army for 7 years. And now you just read the reasons why I've become a faithful Ace Hardware customer. Ace is the place with knowlegeable, helpful friendly employees, good quality merchandise and a store that is a sensible size. No sensory overload.

Also brought a socket to warranty that's been sitting on my tool box. Stopped at customer service first to handle the "lifetime warranty" husky socket. They put in my phone number, scanned the socket and told me I need the original receipt to warrant the socket. Since when? This is the only place to buy this socket. So I walked out over a $6 socket because they wouldn't warranty their own damn lifetime warranty tool. Went to Lowe's and spent over $2300 within the next hour. Good job Home Depot on having a ridiculous policy that costed you today's and a lot of future sales. I won't be back, but I doubt their customer service cares.
